If it's your first bike I suggest you get a cheap 250cc trust me I bought a ninja 300 brand new and I regretted it. This 400 will make you crave for a bigger bike.

NinJayMan Not sure what you mean? I'm saying get a 'CHEAP' small engine bike and THEN maybe you'll know if you want a 'NEW' big or minimal engine upgrade bike. Just trying to open the fella's eyes a little and hoping he doesn't regret his decision and have his money well spent that's all.
taijean .moodie exactly in reality, when will you ACTUALLY need anything bigger than a 400cc engine? you really dont need anything more powerful unless your racing or your literally just there to speed.
@@disbsam333 The only reason a clutch needs disengaged is to make a gear change. Otherwise, there is zero reason for anyone to be pulling the lever anymore. If the gear is changed, get that sucker out.

@Jason Davis Slip/assist are just a device to manage the harsh torque going through the transmission, either from the engine-to-the-wheel, or from the wheel-to-the-engine. Assist is for those with weak forearms. Slip is for those who can't match engine RPM before letting the clutch out on downshifts.
Or like a wimpy ninja 650. 180 deg parallel twins all kinda sound the same. Which is not amazing; but Kawasaki makes damn reliable twins, so we take what we can get no? Wouldn't/Won't stop me from owning this bike.
So that sounds amazing! Does it yield more significant gains elsewhere in the power band? Not that +1.485 peak horsepower isn't impressive for a slip on exhaust (I assume a full exhaust system from Yoshimura would be more, correct?) on a 400cc bike 45hp--->46.485hp because that's more than I'd have guessed, but many times there are gains in the middle that are more profound and down low because of reduced back pressure. Can't market those kind of gains without keeping the peak gains at the forefront of your presentation I understand, (and respect) however. When I buy my Ninja 400 that is priority #1 an exhaust from you guys.
i like it, it givew a more whistle-y sound, its kinda mimicking a 4 cyl...not a big fan of the thumping sound of a para twin....but im a big fan of the engine
neither one sounded all that great...the slip on made it sound more like a lawn mower than the original. Can't really help it, it is a parallel twin... Still a great bike!
