You seem like a sensible, safe rider. When I watch this video I picture myself riding this way. I suppose we don't have to ride like Mad Max over on the Moto Madness channel after all. ✌🏾😁
Hahahaha very true! After I started learning to ride, those compilations make me cringe so much. So many poor riders giving us a bad name.. stay safe!
haha, called out! Yeah, Moto Madness has an annoying tendency to show lots of videos of irresponsible riders. It's a shame really, there's so many videos of good riders that don't get enough attention.
Of course! Must be one of the agreements with his parents before allowing him to buy a bike. xD Ride safe.
Mad Trash
Boring as hell yeah
I remember rode bicycle to school. It was tiring but rewarding. Nice bike man! It's not about riding to get attention. It's riding for experience!

Love riding the bicycle or motorcycle to school. A few minutes of engagement piloting a vehicle at the start of the day.
It pretty much depends on the riding position, road conditions, traffics condition, air temperature+climate and distance.
It's always recommended to get dutch style upright sitting bike instead of an mountain style bike that force you to elan forward.
@@01_zenyobi waarom?
Hey man, something I learned from my uncle who used to ride his bike a lot, is that when you stop in traffic it is best to stop at the side of the lane, next to a line if possible. If a car behind you isn't paying attention and rear ends you, the car will most likely miss you because you are at the side of the lane. You can also escape easily if there is a car in front of you. Just thought I'd share this, because you seem to be a really good and safe driver, and it might help you survive a crash one day:)
Very wise words
Thanks for the tip!
Would any side of the line be okay ? Thank you for this
Depends what lane you're in and where your get-away path would be incase someone was going to rear-end you
His commitment to school shows in his rideing . mom and dad did a great job young man .
It could just be for the camera my man. So calm down
@@mannyblackstar who shit in your cereal lmao
@@mannyblackstar why you telling bro to calm down 😂 you a goon 😹😹😹😹
i mean if i have that red one ill be going school even weekend or holiday
maybe you should have had more commitment to school
I find videos like this so relaxing. My passion for bikes keeps growing everyday.
Thank you! I wish you luck in your motorcycling journey, stay safe!
Great riding, this is how everyone should ride their bikes (but we know sometimes we just can't help it lol)
yeah, sometimes our inner kid just kicks in and wonders "i wonder how fast can this thing go", next thing you know, you already dropped a gear and disappeared
riding fast is ok in safe conditions like out in country with no or few cars good sight lines and no cops. Thats how I did it, not in city not in traffic. That is how you live long enough to get pretty good and enjoy 40plus yrs riding.
You drive so calmly and because of that I subscribed.
Thank you!
Love the vibe, so chill and relaxing. I’ve always wanted to get a motorcycle to have drives like these but here in Florida there’s been way too many accidents lately that involves with motorcycles
Thank you! Ride safe and be aware of surroundings. Could still be nice to take a safety course and try it out!
Same but here in Puerto Rico it's way worse, and I still want to daily something like this or an xr650
I have some short videos on Honda Rebel in NY. You can ride safe all day long but all it takes is someone else to ruin that.
@Gloopy McScoop I live in south florida, I only ride when traffic is not crazy.
I can see from your comments that there's some kinda issue with motocycle's incidents..how is that so common? I mean, down here in Italy it happens sometimes but people are not that concerned/afraid
id easily say this is my favorite type of riding. Just cruising along not trying to do crazy things. I got all of that out of my system when i was dirt biking. so now i definitely prefer safety over injuring myself or others
Watching this makes me realize I'm not going to be the safest thinking rider and I hope I can adapt to the increased dangers of riding on a bike compared to driving a sedan lol
It’s a lot of different decision making to get used to. Take a good safety course and you should be prepared enough. It is also a lot more mentally draining than driving a car. Ride safe!
@@BobbysBikes don't forget, buy a camel pack backpack or the like and have ice water in it, and be sure to bring snacks. Noobs get rekt fast without some juice and brain food
It's not difficult, just use your brain and be smart. That is the safest way, granted shit happens.
Stay away from people....stay away from tight situations...don't rush up to red lights....leave space...always try to stay rolling slow
Earned my respect man!! I got my first bike after I finished school. Yet I used to speed up unnecessarily. Glad to see you just cruising along the road. Now that is my favourite kind of riding style!
I live in socal now, but I learned how to ride motorcycles while growing up in Davis! This brings back memories of my NInja 250 haha! Stay safe my friend
That’s awesome, thanks! I did the opposite, grew up in SoCal and moved up here for school. Ride safe!
Great video!
No music, no commentary, just the sound of the engine is more than perfect.
Thanks for sharing!
You're a fundamental rider, which I appreciate and respect.
Its really nice watching another young rider that isn't out to prove something, enjoy the ride there is no need to go out on the street with a death wish there is no prize for getting to the end of the road the fastest except for a speeding ticket. Keep it up 🤘
Only 1 piece of advice I can give you as a fellow rider and I cannot stress this enough, check your left and right before entering an intersection, I noticed a few times you just took off as soon as the lights changed. You never know when someone is going to run a red light.
this helped me so much to understand the connection with throttle, clutch, breaking slow & fast.
i’ll be ready in no time thank you bro!
We all should ride like this guy respect brother 💯💯
Love the sound of the engine.
i remember when people were riding their r125 to school xD
still do, probably not in america though
@@viktor4757 of course they still do. My comment goes to that period of youtube when there were tons of "ride me r125 to school" Videos
@@lon.athina6903 yeah i know, i love those videos, especially since the most famous one is from a guy in norway which is where i'm from :) Would be so fun to make on myself honestly
@@viktor4757 r125 are very beautiful bikes but once you get 18yo i think they are not worth their money for what you get. I mean with a thousand euros more you can buy a 300 or 400cc bike which you will keep longer for sure
@@lon.athina6903 of course, the only reason people have 125 on street is for fun/stunting with groms and z125 (maybe even some sumos) AND because they aren't old enough to have anything bigger. I for sure would've bought something like a mt03 or maybe even a restricted mt07 if i had the funds and the rules were different
Nice video man and great job with the sound. those are the type of video that I think can convince more people on buying a motorcycle just for the good of enjoying the ride, no rush, just you and your bike! I may say to always "ride safe" but it seems like you know what to do and how to do it good
I appreciate all of your Ninja 400 videos! You are an inspiration to riding and making videos, thanks! 😊
A chill ride from a chill rider. Pretty nice.
My mans just chillin and enjoyin the ride. Great video. Keep at it!
Man I had a ninja 400 and hearing the bike turn on brought back some memories. I’m more into naked sport bikes but I can’t regret having this bike I said I’d never get a Kawasaki but this thing was so much fun to ride. I’m shorter so tip toeing was a problem but I had some fun cruising around the neighborhoods and stuff. I’m now looking into getting an Fz-07 but I love that red color mine was black :)
If you don’t mind me asking how tall are you. I’m also on the short side and I was looking into getting a ninja 400. There are not a lot of them nearby to sit on and see.
@@jp_swisha0 I own a ninja 400 and I'm 5 feet 8 inch. I can almost flat foot on this bike 😉
bro i just watched the most relaxing video of all time.
bro got every red light and didnt say a word. virtuous patience my brother.
seeing this video made me more comfortable getting this as my first bike, i can’t wait
Man, people told me the parallel twins in the 400 and 650 didn't sound good wtf, this bike sounds incredible. It actually kind of reminds me of a Panigale v2 lol
He's using an exhaust mod to make it sound like that
@@eastonator1262 Well I mean, you can put whatever you want on the exhaust but the engine can only make so many kinds of sounds lol
I love the sound with the LV-10 slip on! Sounds much deeper than stock but sounds even better at higher revs.
@@BloodPlusPwn MT-03 and R3 sounds good. don't have to buy a superbike that has 1000cc and hundreds of horsepower that consumes gas more, people who said 400cc 650cc don't sound good need to clean their ears.
Bear in mind that he swapped the stock muffler for a smaller slip-on exhaust that makes the bike much louder, so it won't come from the factory like that. But yeah, with that in mind, I'm a fan of the parallel twin sound, myself. Some people just prefer the sound of the in-line fours that the bigger bikes have to the smaller engines. To each his own, I suppose
I like how you're always looking where you're going and where cars could come from even when you have a green light
Great informative video. Got my bike on Sunday and this whole time up and down my block I've been trying blip and Rev match getting frustrated. I learned I don't have to do any of that. It'll comes naturally. For now be safe and just throttle and cycle down through the gears while applying the brakes when coming to stop. Thanks dude! Save me some headaches
Be careful clicking down gears though. The ninja 400 has a slipper clutch, so I can downshift at pretty much any rpm, which is why I don’t rev match anymore. Your bike not have a slipper clutch, just check to make sure. Stay safe!
Still at school and already riding a 400, dude living in heaven. I used to ride 125 and 150 back in highschool
Loved the video man keep uploading amazing videos
first responsible riber with a super bike ive seen in a long time. hope to be like u
Planning on getting the LV-10 for my Ninja 300. It sounds pretty good!
I used to live in Segundo back in 2013 and the route you took is just so reminiscent lol
deam this gives me flashback to when i was in highschool and went to school on my bike everyday. I live in Europe so i was only able to ride a little 50cc, but it was still fun. I now own a duke 390 and lets say i can get to places much quicker ;) have a good one m8!
Having a smooth and chill ride around the town is far better than speeding.
Change my mind.
Videos are looking good bro keep it up!!
Bike sounds good too.
Thank you! There is plenty more to come, I appreciate the support!
You gotta support this dude💪
this was a mad calming video
Ninja 400 was the best small sportbike for fact of any I owned, I had the R3 and cb300f also, the 400 has the best quality, feel, power, the best gearbox too. The r3 gearbox was junk and all mine had under 3k miles on em
Watching you shift has really helped me to understand the sequence better, I don't have a bike yet, still have a lot of nerves to get through and also need to take the class to get the license, but this video actually helps a lot because it's really clear.

Thats sick. I studied in UC Davis during summer.
I still remember some places! Thanks for the video.
Davis is such a nice little town. The kava bar is really chill to hangout in
Very nice exhaust sound!
Wow man, she is PURRING, love that sound

Clean calm ride. Keep it up 👍
Kawi has the best red paint jobs. The z900 in red is what dreams are made of.
I think a little bit of wind noise is good, makes it feel more realistic and immersive
I’ll probably do that from now on, still experimenting with audio. Thanks for the input!
@@BobbysBikes no wind noise is bad
Watching this video before my Nina 400 arrives next week! I also like the fact that you're not riding your bike like you're racing the Isle of Man.
how is it?
You know what’s crazy? I go to UCD, drive for Unitrans, and on occasion drive near your place. And here I am looking for a bike. Super coincidental, safe riding friend.
bro is living my dream.
Such a pretty bike can't wait to get my ninja
This hypes me up, can't wait to get my XSR 155
This is like me riding. I am a new rider. Just bought my thirdhand bike and also I am a left handed person so I fined it a bit difficult and scary riding but I am getting a hang of it just like this guy. I don’t know hit to downshift and rev match I just go to the brakes and stop. Lining in the corners or coves is my most scary thing when riding.
Seriously, the place where you live is absolutely beautiful.
I listen to this while going sleep because I love the sound of motorcycles purring like that
I agree! It’s like ASMR
Very cool to ride this bike to school.
In Europe we can only have 125 till 18 so I need to wait just a year.. Watching this video before I go to school 30km on my Honda CBR 125R.. Its not the fastest but its fun way have a better day and I dont have to wait for a train 😀
In Portugal you can have a 125 at 16 years old.
In America they can't tell you what you're allowed to buy.
@@yummyzerg they cant on europe too but they can tell you what you are allowed to ride
@@yummyzerg I can buy cars, 1000cc bikes if I have a money for it.. But cant ride or drive them.. I have to wait till 18 to have license for it... If you are 15, you get AM thats for a moped, from 16 you get A1 Motorcycle of 125cc and 11kW.. Also small city car that goes only like 50km/h thats around 30mph.. Then when you are 18 you can get B, A2 which B is a for normal car and A2 is motorcycle that can be whatever cc but it has to be 35kW and no more.. Then at age 24 you can get A which is every motorcycle no matter cc or power.. so beyond 35kW..
@@IOFIsickness Yeah same in Czechia.. I got A1 for 125cc but when Im 18 I can get A2 so some 400,500cc that is not higher than 35kw..
very safe riding my bro, you're a very good rider!👍
Finally someone who wears gauntlet gloves. Makes my heart warm inside. Those short ass wrist gloves ain’t doing shit in a slide.

Hey that’s awesome, congrats! If you end up bringing the bike you’ll definitely see me around. We should ride sometime! Stay safe and good luck next year.
finally a right video about how to drive properly
i've seen many people doing overspeed limits and making trouble in the road . That kinda people give bad name for bikers
nice. thank you
Omg this is awesome I used to do this ride on my triumph daytona 675R all the time right by the subway and taco bell!! thats a good little road to get some speed
Wow davis ca is close to my town, great to see people in davis ride bikes
Man I wish I would’ve gotten this over my CBR300r.
Then again I’ve never ridden a bike before so a little Rebel 300 probably would’ve been the easier choice either way, having a hard time starting on a sports bike as a smaller built 5’6 guy
CBR300r was my first bike too! You don’t need to be able to flat foot the bike to become comfortable on it. At stops, keep your right foot on the rear brake and only put down your left. Should make it more comfortable and at 5’6 it should be doable.
I had a 2018 Ninja 400 a few years back before I bought my current bike which is a 2021 Ninja ZX-6R. I loved my 400 but the one thing I didn’t like was the seat. After a long ride getting off the seat was excruciating 😰😰
Yeah the seat is definitely the weakest point of the bike but easily fixable! Planning on getting a new seat before my next road-trip.
The corbin seat was worth every penny. Awesome seat and so comfortable.
Damn, he rides his 400cc sports bike like a commuter bike on his commute to school...
I have a commuter bike, that I drive just like this, it's really relaxing.
What a thrill. Felt as if I was there!
Sacramento California here ! Soon to be new rider !
Didn't know a DB killer for the LV existed. Def getting it.
have the same bike and honestly im not shifting right.. thanks to you and seeing how you shift it'll make my bike breathe correctly. these bikes love running hot tho I hate it. Im in AZ lol
He definitely shifts at much higher revs than I do. I’m usually into 6th by the time I’m doing 70km/h, where as he’s doing that in 4th.
@@sergeant_ozzy1037 you’re at 6th gear going 40 mph ??? That’s waaaaayyyy too low
I don’t shift too low, but not too high when I’m city riding. I usually shift around 5-6k in the city and when I’m having fun I’ll keep it closer to 8k. Haven’t had too much of an issue running hot here, but summer is coming up!
@@BobbysBikes you needa make sure you open up your bike once and a while, barley tapping the rev limiter on acceleration
@Sergeant_Ozzy Nah don't listen to that guy it's not too low lol you're good. I'm in a similar boat; as long as you're not chugging the engine, you're putting the least amount of wear on it while getting better gas mileage too. It's pretty universal advice that you should be shifting as soon as possible when you won't chug for maximum efficiency (besides when you're having more fun of course). Lots of points in the vid where you can tell the bike is begging to be up shifted.
Nothing wrong with riding that way either, and it's fun to push it through the high revs, but obviously it'll just be louder and sitting at way higher revs than you'd expect for casual driving so there's a bit more wear (plus it might get obnoxious to others on the road lol). In the vid, you can see where 1st and 2nd gear get pushed to their full potential, but then the engine noise blueballs you because he has to slow down or can't accelerate more, and won't upshift for some reason. In those situations he hasn't gotten a third through his gears yet and is cruising at a deafening 30-40mph in 2nd gear, which as you said, he could be in 5th or 6th by then. It'd be fine if he were able to wring out the rest of the gears too, but it's just not all that efficient or satisfying (imo)in city traffic when you can't afford to do that. So if faced with those two options, it's better to gradually and smoothly use more of the gearbox than get bottlenecked like that. Lower CC bikes have more than enough power where you can comfortably cruise in 6th very early on without worrying about shifting too early! If you're not intentionally shifting at a specific RPM for some reason, listening to the engine and shifting intuitively is a great marker for when would be a good time.
Awesome rider
Good Riding.
Idk if it just looks like it, but the fact that you're on a motorcycle and it took 15 mins makes it seem like your school is so far lol. It takes me 10 mins by bus + less than 10 mins to walk to get to school.
I'm doing my license for an A2 motorcycle now, 2nd week in and I'm so so excited!! ^^
Took me 5 min when I used to go to school and drive, 30minutes when I walked, and 10-15 when I biked there
Takes me like 30 mins on the bus. Took a longer route to campus too. Could probably do it in 10 mins. Good luck and stay safe riding!
