  • I am a new rider, about 3 weeks experience. Already gone down already so I know how it feels to go down and it is not nice. I did take the MSF course, but i tried out the bike before and that didn't go well. I'm hoping to get feedback on my riding.

    Do well in school brother. Take it from me, I just finished college. These last 6 years set you up for the rest of your life. It’s not like it’s impossible to do well in life with bad grades - but your life will be VERY easy if you do get good grades lol. That’s the best way to put it for someone young. Your life will be easy as hell as long as you do well in school 🤝🏼

    I went and got my permit as soon as i turned 18, went to a dealership and bought a brand new 2018 cbr500r. Bike lasted me 2 seasons of riding before i got bored, it will definitely happen to you too. Unless you plan on keeping it to teach someone to ride, or sell it to a friend learning to ride, you're gonna end up getting rid of it lmao. Best to get the drops and growing pains out of the way on a cheaper much slower bike anyway. Been almost 7 years but I have a completely modded out 2020 kawi 636 these days, those extra 2 cylinders make all the difference. Ride safe brother!

      I don't know how old you are, but be patient until you turn 18 (if you're under 18 of course) and go for A2 license. Better to hold on for a bit and ride something like Ninja 400/500, R3, CFMOTO 450SR and such than to pass driving test for A1 and ride 125cc

    Ive been riding since I was 6, im 53 now.. No disrespect but even if you had the dollar! Don't buy a H2.....
    It will go faster than your 400 in 1st gear..
    I had a 93 ZXR 400 & it did 132 mph..
    Why have they restricted these new bikes?
    Step up to a ZX6R.... More power, but all bikes go as fast as you want them to.. Safe riding though mate

    Careful showing where and how to get to your school from your house. A lot of thieves on youtube and will geo locate your area and one day you will come out from school to find your bike missing. Plus you dont need people knowing what your house and garage look like. Begin and end your videos a couple streets away.

    For all the 16,17,18 yr olds asking how to convince your parents, trust me, unless your parents ride, it’s hard, sometimes you just can’t convince them.
    I had to wait until I was self sufficient with my money and got it on the down low, got chewed out but I got the bike and living life now fs.
    Lastly like he said it’s a-lot more expensive then just an msrp price, I dropped 12,000 on all my equipment and the bike, which was only 5200. Plan each step accordingly and ride smartly

    • @YCSM_Loomz
      @YCSM_Loomz 4 месяца назад +10

      Exactly. My dad rode a harley, so it was hard to convince him to get a "crotch rocket," but because he had rode before, he was glad i took interest in it as well, which made it easier for me. . My mom gave him a cussing, but it was worth it. Bought myself a ninja 250cc since your girls only 5'4. But yknow if I convert that I'm just 6'0ft.
      The bikes in the shops now. I've been working on it for a bit. Negotiated down to 900 when it priced for 1k. So I got what I paid for.
      Other than that the biggest expenses so far have been gear. I've almost dropped 1.5k just on good gear alone. And now I have to buy parts for the bike as well. So definitely prepare yourself.
      I started saving up quite early because I knew what I wanted, so I had sufficient funds to do so. Now almost 18 and should be ready to ride when the day comes around! That's it for my yap session

      with hard work anybody could do it I'm a broke ass college student got my bike for 2600$ ninja 300 2014 and bought my gear online from the facebook market make sure its clean and the person is clean sometimes the gear is new. Got gloves for 50$ that are worth 110$ got a 1200 shoei snell and dot for 150$ brand new off a chick who barley rode. all i need is the jacket prob gonna buy a armored hoodie. Honestly buy a used bike you'll spend around 3000$ - 10,000$ depending on ur limit and where you live. 1000$ safe zone for msf course, regstering it and insuring it. And another 1000$ on gear if you think that's expensive man work and you'll see you can do it. Been slacking it tho so far got mostly all the gear and some aftermarket parts for my bike. Haven't took the course or registered it gonna save up and do that this month. (19 years old freshman at ucsd)

    Take the warning sticker off of your gas tank. As of right now being a brand new bike it won't have an impact on the paint. You leave that out in the sun for a little bit and go to take off that sticker, you will see a paint difference.

    Hey man, about the engine breaking. You should never really use your clutch unless you're at a stand still and taking off, coming to a stand still or going up/down a gear. Letting go off the gas will put the engine in compression and it will slow down the bike. About 60% of the stopping power actually comes from the engine and not the brakes itself. When braking apply the 10% front 30% rear brake ratio and don't overapply the brakes, try to squeeze it like you're squeezing a lemon. Get used to rev matching when downshifting all the time.

      If you pay for your own bike and pay for your own insurance, yes like he said get the bike and ask for forgiveness later. If they pay for your insurance, good luck 😂

    What made you get a 400 instead of a 650? I’m just curious because I’m a new rider and I didn’t want to start something small like an R3 but of course is not reasonable to get a 600

    • @WholsPluto

      I just got a 650 as my first bike it def has more power then a 400 but not as much as you would think it also weighs more

    • @JNmotoz
      @JNmotoz  5 месяцев назад +1

      From my personal experience a 400 is way more forgiving. I already have gone down a couple of times from going too fast, and I felt like if that was a 600 instead of a 400 i would've ended up with a broken leg. A 650 also doesn't have that much more HP then a 400 but everyone has different views.
