Killing those three enemies in a certain order, IMO that’s not a good puzzle. It has no connection to logic whatsoever 🙄

The damn room where you have to kill one enemy with a pot and the other with a sword in a specific order was kinda bullshit if you ask me. I promised myself I wouldn't use a guide but the game just pulls a gas one on you like that, how was I supposed to guess.
Also, powder turn on torches and Fairies don't receive you when you die, this game breaking Zelda conventions trigger me.

Dude, you have no idea how much of a nostalgia trip this is watching you play. I played this SO MUCH as a kid (my first Zelda game on GameBoy Color) and I have yet to pick this version up yet (60 bucks is kinda expensive for me at the moment). This is so much fun watching this game again - hopefully I'll pick it up on sale in the future.
ChrisWCorp Just finished it, what a pleasure it was! Graphics and sound design is really great, especially the soundtrack in level 6. If that one had a bit of reverb it would be a solid 10/10.
Game overall I would say easily a 8/10.
Also played the original on the GBC as a kid, first hour I felt like the time went back. So much nostalgia!

Pick up the heart, run circles around the Shopkeeper and evacuate.
6:38 Actually, there IS another way to defeat it. When it starts sucking you in, use the Roc's Feather to jump right at the edge of the hole, and you can clear the gap and land on the corner platform with it. Apparently, it can't actively harm you, so you're then free to dispatch it with a quick sword swing.
"But how do I get back over?" You may ask. Two ways:
- One, run to the very edge of the platform and jump, and KEEP RUNNING (holding the joystick in the rightmost direction) until you've touched the edge of the opposite side and scrambled into solid ground again,*
OR
- Two, run diagonally towards the top right corner of the platform and jump to land on the corner edge of the other side.
*Alternatively, you can use this method to get both to AND from the platform where the enemy is, but the method of using its suction attack to your advantage all but guarantees you'll make it over. Plus, using the suction method, even if you fall into the hole trying to get back over, you'll respawn at the entrance to the room.

3 yrs later and I am finally picking up this game. Just wanted to say thank you for this full play through! I don’t usually play Zelda games, but the look of this game made me want to try! After my hubby got me through the first dungeon, I felt it was appropriate to try and do this for myself! Going through the Bottle Grotto and defeating the boss made me a little bit more proud of myself. I look forward to watching and then playing this game with your playthroughs!
You may be thinking about lord of the flies, with the conch.

I don't think that's anyone's decision. RUclips has been doing this to all channels, RUclips is getting cheap and wants one to support themselves. I had someone tell me they see ads on my videos and I don't even monetize them.

After you kill the three guys in that weirdly specific order, go up the stairs to the left and it’s a little mini game with piranha pants and goombas

I was stuck here for so long before realizing I could hit the switch through the wall 😅
I got myself stuck with the orange squares in the "up" position. When I left the room, it was the same way. I finally used my bow and arrow to shoot across and hit the lever. It worked. Now I can continue on

Absolutely LOVE this walk through series! I started at episode 2 and realized I missed a few items so went back to episode 1 for the seashells and a heart piece, which matters alot when I only had 3! It makes the game so much more fun and fluid 😊
For the conch, I know what it is from SpongeBob and I'm 29! 😂
I have already unlocked the full map and almost got the wind fish, I’ve been sick all day.
This was a really helpful video. I just picked up the game a few days ago and was completely lost as to what to do on this stage. This was like three things I probably would have never figured out or thought of shown in here. Especially killing that vortex thing. So thanks 👍

Haha you got no idea how long I have been trying to solve the stalfos, imprisoned pols thing and keese for. I got stuck on that bit years ago on the original gameboy Link’s awakening when I was about 10 or 11. I am now 35! Thanks to your walkthrough, I have now finished that puzzle.

You will finish this game within a few days. Being a youtuber forces you to rush those games to stay in the hype. You can’t sit back and enjoy it because some other people might complete their let’s play before you. Thank you for you content. I would watch even without the hype. You should do let’s plays of older Zelda games too.

Hey Austin, I'm pretty sure you can also magic powder the bunnies, and then kill them with your sword
For the bunbuns I didn't know what to do so I dusted one, and was able to lift it, and threw it at the other and it killed it (but not the one I threw). It was kinda amusing. I first thought it was a friendly but was very disappointed.

Love this game but hate the little amount of direction it gives
You can kill the pols voice (rabbit enemy) later in the game with the boomerang and bombs (stun with boomerang, then use a bomb). I figured this out in one of the dungeons with 3 pols voices and only 2 pots. Not sure if the song is still in this game or a 3rd way to kill them.

So I found a glitch when fighting the honix. If you fall into the bottom left hole you get glitched/respond into the room where the musical instrument is in. I thought it was pretty cool
The bunnies can be immobilized with the magic power as well which allows you to attack or pick them up
Alright I've started this game yesterday and I didn't realize that you could hit the switch even if the blocks were up. I was getting kinda desperate because I didn't know how to go forward...

If your trying to save your magic powder you can stand in the middle of the torches and it will light both of them

Very useful for tips. For the most part, I’m trying not to watch as I haven’t played Links Awakening before, and want a blind experience. However this is an excellent guide and I can see myself using it for the future (including a Hero play through)

The Hinox exclusively grabbed me with almost no pauses between attacks
We read lord of the flies and that’s how we learn about conch’s
wow I somehow glitched the room with the 3 enemy’s because I went through the stair right as I killed the last one so I went back and it wouldn’t appear so I thought I’ll just make a new save file and guess what for whatever reason it’s glitched in every save file I made awesome!
Tip:Hinoxes take 4-3 hits with arrows
Come on let’s get Austin to 2 million subs we can do it!

I have watched the first 4 episodes 3 times each lol so I can memorize what to do and whats where lol. Right now I'm just about to walk into the second dungeon, Genie kinda freaks me out tho so wish me luck. Also, Links Awakening is my second Zelda game ever and I'm absolutely loving it. @@MichaelPickering29 I feel watching these walkthroughs without playing the game defeats the purpose of solving the puzzles on your own. I would recommend playing through the game first, then watch this vid to do 100% completion on a second playthrough
