Agreed, I just ran into him about a week ago and ive learned so much, hes so much better than others, explains it easily while playing it, to the point, and figures out the songs in his own way.
Truly an incredible guitar instructor with the perfect amount of humor and swagger. The only improvement I could think of is if you played a little demo at the beginning of the video so us viewers can get a taste for the song :) or at the end Overall, thank you for bringing my guitar playing to the next level
I didn't know until now that I need to learn this song! Fortunately I've mostly got to grips with No One Knows now. You're keeping me so busy that my fingertips are starting to glow! Thanks for another excellent lesson ☺️
Led Zeppelin is my hands down favourite band. The mixing which they did is unparalleled. I have never learnt to play a guitar. However, Ryan breaking this into a Rhythm guitar is really difficult. You really have a great skill and knowledge. I have become your fan. God bless. Cheers
This is just wonderful! Now I can play Leevee wherever I want, without arguing with my dad/brother/daughter because everytime I detune their guitars 😂 Lifesaver, Ryan 😉
As the proud owner of one decent guitar (I have a few cheap and nasty ones so don’t mock) alternate tunings are a bugbear. This and your recent QOTSA lesson are two of my favourite songs. Thanks for giving me the wherewithal to learn these classics without the drama of de tuning and re tuning. At the moment, Ryan, you are at the top of my guitar teachers charts. Don’t get too big for your boots though, as, like in the old days,, the charts change weekly. Thanks 🤟🏼
Love that riff on acoustic. Always seem to try to learn capo songs with you Ryan. Going to give this song a shot. Great lesson and have an amazing new year Ryan!🎸
Great breakdown and great sound on your version. Something to remember about the original Zep version: Evidently played in G originally and tape slowed down so it sounded in F. The few times played live it was played in G at the slower pace. Evidently Page used standard tuning and only used the slide on 3 strings, I’ve tried it this way on my Les Paul and it seems about right. Combining this knowledge with your great sounding take, I want to try this with looped drums. Thanks.
Hi Ryan. I recently re-strung my old guitar and tuned it up in order to attempt to learn "When the Levee Breaks" after watching a good tutorial by a different RUclipsr musician. In fact, I found several good and helpful RUclips tutorials about this song. However, I don't have the skill of Jimmy Page, and I figured it might take me months (if ever) to be able to play this song smoothly. Furthermore, I am playing an acoustic, so my practice attempts sound very different from all the electric guitar tutorials that I was watching. However, I can do what you just demonstrated which is more than adequate to serve my campfire needs. Additionally you make this song sound great with your acoustic guitar. Thank you so very much for making this video. You are skilled as a teaching, and I went ahead and sent you some money for your efforts (see contribution below). Thanks again!
Wow just discovered you after ten years doing guitar lessons on YT! Love your Arlo Guthrie style approach of talking thru the lesson in a conversational way ! Which makes me think ... maybe you could teach “Alice’s Restaurant”
@@RyanLendt lol, 👍🏿hope alls well, with this covid thing it’s been kinda hard to really enjoy what our beautiful state has to offer, if you get a chance check out topsail island just north of Wilmington, 👍🏿

This is the best version that I never found in web. My personal opinion
And now the Legendary Sir Ryan pulls out my fave Led Zeppelin track! I kneel before the and bequeath to you my 7th wife and 12th daughter.
OK, but only if you send them with a lunch. I can't be responsible for their dietary needs.
@@RyanLendt are you needing me to supply lunch for eternity? As I don't want them back lol they are a gift.
Thanks!
You are far too kind James - thank YOU :)
What a fun fun song to play! Thank you for the great tutorial. The mighty Led Zeppelin took this song and made it their own. I can’t stop playing it!!

I didn't know how much I wanted this until I saw it. One of zeppelins best and a campfire edition makes it a double whammy of nice noise!
