You picked a hell of a brand to work on. You will love/hate BMW. I own an e46 M3 and e70 X5. My advice is to just in there and RUclips has hella tutorials for you.

Qtip with Vaseline is good for coating things you don't want painted. After drying, the paint comes right off.

You can also just buy those center console parts for super cheap online. They’re not gonna be oem but you can find both the cup holders and the cubby/coin holder for like 25-30 together and they come in black/grey/beige to match whatever interior you got.

That's the way to do it. And the center console is like $50. They're cheap enough to just swap out. Painting is too much work considering you have to sand and prep.

@@samihamady6393 Yeah it’s cheap like it’s china made. But we’re talking about coin holders and whatnot, so I’m cool with the cheap replacements. I deleted the leather arm rest entirely, takes space unnecessarily, inserted a wooden dowel and wrapped it with felt and its much better!

Hey I need help with my 2003 e46 wagon the sunroof cover stop working and it won’t retract to cover the sunroof any idea how to fix it?
Where did you find your wide body kit?? I have a 2002 325i wagon and the previous owner put ugly fender flares on it and I want to change them out
Amazon has vvivid gloss black wrap that matches bmw jet black 2 perfectly. Easy way to fix the fender. We did a whole burned hood that way.

Flip over the rear plate bracket for the proper fit. Small difference, but that's the cars we drive
A suggestion for another improvement: change the headlight plastic lenses. You can't get OEM BMW lenses. BMW requires you to buy the entire headlight units which are expensive. However, you can find non- OEM replacement lenses which install easily and will improve your car's appearance.

Clean! however I know your roller door behind the arm rest for the ashtray facing the backseat has to have deteriorated by now…. Mine actually came apart 😮 that’s a challenge for me to find

Instead of scratching or sanding the soft paint you suppose to use oven spray it deteriorate it. it comes of by itself. Just wash it off with a sponge after soaking it in oven spray.
I got the same rear plate bracket i think you put it upside down and thats why you were only able to get the top bolts on(supposed to be the bottom ones) but i might be wrong
I tried both orientations but neither lined up perfect, oh well! Maybe mine was out of spec. Thanks for watching!
I have an e46 m3. It's amazing how low quality these interiors are for a supposed luxury car. Thank God that's not why we buy them lol.

Just buy the pieces online for like 20 bucks
Some nice work there, though that cheap and nasty pvc central armrest took a bit away from the appearance.

What were BMW technicians thinking using that shitty rubberised paint on the console?? I ended up stripping mine and using black 2 rust oleum satin paint. I used plastic primer first, which you omitted.

2 easy things replace those nasty headlight lenses with new ones it’s easy they just pop right out and add red/clear euro tailights on the back. Also refresh the whole suspension with brand new bushings,front control arms, tie rods,sway bar endlinks and get some affordable coilovers and you’ll see a night and day difference

I ended up buying aftermarket headlights entirely, no more 100$ bi xenon bulbs, hello 15$ normal halogen

euro cars do not come with smaller brackets, we have HUGE ugly license plates, love the vid tho

It's not that bad, could use a good cleaning! It's the factory "brushed shadow aluminum" which is pretty rare 💎 I do like wood trim better though
In Europe that shadow brushed aluminium is common as house flys

I’d rather buy matching trims than painting over those. Those are aluminum silver trims (one of the rarest and expensive finishes out there)

Just save your money and buy a good condition car from the start 😂 and get a detail
This is for people that actually like to work on their cars or have projects
that cheap new armrest looks hideous and i dont see why replacing broken parts was on a mod list but polishing your optional beige headlights wasnt
This car got a xenon retrofit in a later video, who still runs halogens on their e46 anyways 😁
