Shower before bed is great it's more trouble but it's so worth it !! Even if you do a sponge bath and make sure you wash their feet that will help them to sleep and you will benefit !! Maybe make a spray bottle of eucalyptus and or lavender oil in water and spray their bedroom etc Good luck 🙏🏽🕉

I find the opposite to be true regarding timing sleep. I have had horrible insomnia for years and kept going to bed earlier and earlier desperate for sleep. My mother mentioned that she now stays up until 12:30 - 1:00 a.m. and sleeps better than she has in eons. For the heck of it, I forced myself to stay up until at least 11:30 p.m. and OMG GAME CHANGER! I now go to sleep and stay asleep all night! No more sleep for 5 mintues/up for 60 minutes/sleep for 5 minutes/up for 60 minutes. I cannot believe the improvement in my sleep by staying up later.

I used to have trouble sleeping all night I would wake up several times. I avoided drinking water and I'm sure I was dehydrated. I finally decided to go ahead and drink water when I was dehydrated at night time and the result was I ended up sleeping much better and I didn't have to urinate any more often.
why did you avoid it in the first place?
@@gastank43 - so you don't wake up to go to the bathroom.
It's 02:32a.m and I'm watching this when I should be sleeping.
Love Shawn Stevenson, Great spirit

We have 0 sunhours where I live at the moment. 😔 I'm experimenting with plant lights. I think both I and my plants need it...
There is something called a Day Light lamp that mimics the sun.

Sleep plays an important role in your physical health. For example, sleep is involved in healing and repair of your heart and blood vessels. Ongoing sleep deficiency is linked to an increased risk of heart disease, kidney disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, and stroke.👍
Free Brittney!!!😁✌🏽❤️

You're welcome,thank you for being here 💜
It's hard to get decent sleep when you are taking care of parent with dementia
Paula Guion Mm start asking yourself HOW you can help them to sleep better and see what ides come to mind !! Maybe a warm to cool shower before they go to sleep Etc see what ideas you get !!
As a caregiver who took care of my Dad for 6 years I must tell you that you need at least parttime help or you will become ill yourself. Senioer centers sometime have volunteers that will visit . No one knows what it is like but you need some type of support. You can contact me at mariacullati@yahoo.com. I had my Dads elderly cousin who called me twice a month to say "hi" and those calls were a lifeline.
Paula,
I hope and pray that God to shower you and your family with his endless blessings. Amen
God bless you Paula. My husband has dementia and he loves his tea and other fluids constantly. I do my my best to stop tea after 4PM and other fluids after 6PM due prostatitis
dementia is caused by the non organic food your family eats and its mucus.
Reading a book before bed, during the day in place of your phone is fundamental😊
Does this make sense? Before bed or durimg the day??
Reading in bed at night helps best in drifting off to sleep.
My phone puts me out
There are many reasons why people can"t sleep and there are
so many suggestions for the
remedy, but there is only 1 special
reason why sleep is very important
to us ...ITS ONLY IN SLEEP AT NIGHT WHERE OUR ORGANS
UNDERGOES REPAIR and HEALING SPECIALLY THE HEART
and TISSUES ...
Lucky for the ones that have “normal hours of work “ I arrived home at 11:30 pm as I work evenings by the time I have a shower, dry my hair, apply moisturiser on my skin etc etc and have a hot drink, is almost 1:00 am I get to sleep close to 1:30 or 2 am, it’s impossible for me to have an early bedtime.☹️☹️🛌
Motivation to get a new job ;)
13 min he 100 percent right so many people sleep better in winter i know i do and i have very bad sleep apnea that slowly became a problem and i got it from weight lifting well the side effects muscle growth im 275 pounds and not fat and its not fun being this heavy and now im trying to loose muscle mass i dont want too but i love to sleep instead of waking up gasping for air because of sleep apnea . and i feel the sun thing is true too because im not out in sun no more the last few years

I’m a retired nurse & I had horses & 4 kids. I was always in GAA (Girls Athletic Association)I was very active! Now I’m 83 & not active at all! Every joint is replaced!
GAA (Gaelic Athletic Association) 😉❤️
Great conversation. Lots of good information
Also I know u trendy gurus will differ- but half an Ambien nightly to help regulate a circadian rhythm... helped me too
Great guest and information! That used to be my mantra - sleep when I’m dead - making my kids listen to - they’ll hate me now but appreciate it later, but they think sleep is for suckers :) . I’m going to suggest to the Katy Isd football organization watch some of these School of greatness videos! - more stuff for young athletes would be great 👍 thanks Lewis
... ps: Still waiting on the end of video recap :)
A man after my own heart, I eat the whole bag, then I'm satisfied for months. I don't eat cereal,or drink milk. I love steak with all the trimmings.
Taking my TV and books out my room helped me fall asleep faster and it only took like 3 weeks
Yes, 68 degrees is perfect "sleep" temperature. And it Works!!
So relatable! Thank you so much 🙂
Great 😪😴 Video. I think I'll get some now😴😴😴😪😪😪
I find the opposite to be true regarding timing sleep.
Greetings!😃 I am glad i tapped into this video! I really needed to hear this! I have insomnia bad and i don't want to use pills. Haven't had 8 hours of sleep in a very long time. Thank you for sharing this information. I will try your recommendations and hope they will work. I already keep my bedroom dark, but not helping.
I am 29 and i sleep about 2 hours every night. I dont do it on purposely i wake up about 10 to 15 times through the night and then it takes a while to fall asleep again cux im just thinkinh and thinking
I have the exactly same problem like a month.
I’ve got same problem been 9 years
I been doing it for 5 years
I recommend you to visit a doctor for sleep study, its possible that you have sleep apnea. I had the same issue and it can be fixed.
Hi 👋🏻 what has helped for me is when you get in bed start just focusing on your breath that will slow/ quit thinking & I fall asleep fast sounds simple but it works for me .
Don't take supplements. Focus on sleep, diet and exercise. The trinity in that order of importance. Do all three and you won't need anything else.
Thank you great and knowledgeable expert.
Magnesium, I'd definitely recommend...
Supplements are crucial in this day and age when nutrition is so lacking in food. Focus on sleep, diet, and exercise, but ALSO supplement.
WOW thank you guys
