- The five-year ownership reign of Joe Lacob and Peter Guber have coincided with five of the most successful years in Warriors franchise history, both on and off the court.
I'm sorry for booing ownership when trading Monta. I miss Monta but winning a championship made things better
What about now, how you feeling about the trade?
Shame on you for booing Lacob!
Absolutely stupid! That was a smart trade! Ellis was a undersize guard with zero defense.
@@Ps7appleit was unfortunate for people to boo but you have to understand that it was bottled up emotions from fans who were so used to seeing their previous owner keep making stupid decisions. No one could’ve predicted that the warriors would actually turn out this way. Everyone thought Lacob was clearly following in the same direction. Obviously tons of fans now regret their response back then. But to say shame on you guys as if you knew this was going to happen is talking straight out your ass
@PathOfDistrAction I agree it was built up frustration from Cohan era. But he did two great things that were unexpectedly great. Drafted Curry and selling to Lacob. Lacob did two things that made me say wow things are changing. He hired Jerry West and brought a G league team. Rick Barry told gsw fans this man was spending money to put a winner together. Anyway take care. Bye.
Thank you for being an awesome FO! Never thought this team would ever escape purgatory but it has.
Can't believe Warriors fans booed Lacob when they were retiring one of their most loved players. What a disgrace.
It was years of bottled up frustrations just hitting the fan. Yeah, it was not a great thing to do on Chris Mullin's jersey retirement, but back then trading Monta, who was our best player at that point, for an injury prone Bogut made no sense. In hindsight, it was a risky gamble that paid dividends and the Dubs became a dynasty because of it.
Indeed…
But I just see… especially on THIS EVENING…
a willingness to INVITE the “BOOs” and to ENDURE the “BOOs”…
…seems to always be the building blocks of a FOUNDATION of Excellence
