    This has to be one of the most beautiful tunes ever written.Fred Hersh’s arrangement is beautiful.
    Another fantastic ‘version’ by Johnny Griffin Tnr. Man is a must!.

    I only found out today that Black in the Color (of my true love’s hair) is attributed to Scottish origin as as a folksong.
    Listen here to different versions. Unfortunately I do not see Hersch’s version.

      +Trey Phillips What I really want him to do (and have suggested it to him after a concert) is publish with Peters a collection of several of his more accessible songs: Black is the Color, Pastorale, Down Home. I would buy the book and so, I think, would others.
