We hit 1000 recently and really find your tips valuable. After watching this I think I'm going to go back and make some more of the videos that did well.
Nice to see a maker channel on Video Creators, Brandon is an up and comer in our niche! And the insight into a channel review is a great addition to y'alls content. For sure should be an ongoing feature, but I also love that you went for the value add of the "Better way to structure vids" vs. "Make or Break Channel Review". Nicely done!
@@ChaplainReece That is interesting.... it was combining what I like to enjoy (Beaches and Entertainment) with Education and Financial Success, specially online....I truly believe that this will be how the world is going to work in the future, and many people are going to be free thanks to Internet!!!
Evergreen ideas incorporate for sure - meaning all these are something to come back to on a regular basis. It seems like the intro trailer for example should be updated on a regular basis. My question is how often? An obvious answer might be to look at stats and update according to performance or if/when your channel starts in on new or different content. Is that about right?
It doesn't have to be changed super frequently. As long as it remains aligned with the value prop you're delivering to your target audience, it should be fine.
I am intrigued by the channel membership option for having your channel reviewed. However, I'm concerned about the random nature of it. I'm worried that it could theoretically mean spending hundreds of dollars and then never having my channel reviewed.
Totally. No problem if you don't sign up for it. We try not to let that happen and right now it's not a huge risk because the waiting list isn't that long, but if you want to guarantee a channel review, you can schedule one with us here: videocreators.com/youtube-certified-consultant/
I can implement some of this into my videos! I’ve always struggled to come up with channel trailer ideas but I think I have a better understanding of how to do that now!
@@ChaplainReece , Thanks for your reply on my latest video. I greatly appreciate it. I was already checking out many of your titles, today, while at work. I would like to know how to create thumbnails; and other things that "spruce up" my videos.
These videos have been soooo helpful. We are on the cusp of defining things....now whether it's good or not....who knows. Haha but we're are at least trying to put something down and then rework our banner and then record a trailer. It's been hard to hone in and focus our videos without the proper heading at the top.
Much respect! But you need a better mic and pls show more of the stuff you are talking about for ex when you said thumbnails more consistent at 3:15 I didnt' see them for a long time...I think later some popped really fast.
Dear master Tim, with Koppa in how can we make catching thumbnails without using colours? Also watch out they are calling vids with kids in them kid friendly now apprently so if you do family vlogs they could be called kid friendly.
I just found this guy last week! How funny you are reviewing his channel ... I strongly disagree with the channel trailer tip. I have never subscribed for a channel trailer or a video dedicated to telling why I should subscribe. I like what the advice (maybe it came from your channel?) of using an already successful video as a channel trailer. I video that has a high subscriber rate
4 whole minutes pass by in your video until you deliver on your promise of "A better way to structure your videos". While I generally like your videos, this here does not lead by example...
Good advise but in thinking of leaving RUclips for Vimeo due to my inability to produce content as a church for all ages. If I select content for children I lose all ability to comment and increase subscribers and bell notifications. Frankly I mad about this.
You can still make content for kids, but yes, you do lose some features. However, those featured you mentioned have very little impact on a kid channel's ability to grow, so I'd encourage you to go for it anyway.
Video Creators your missing my point as a church and preacher my context is for all ages just like any other church would be traditionally. Sense that is the case I need my comments, subscribers button and bell. This is what I’m upset about.
@@VideoCreators Like I stated previously my content is not exclusively "kids content" but as like any church, pastor, or ministry, I try to reach all ages. This is precisely my frustration with RUclips. I use my comment section to discuss questions, answer questions, produce new content for future videos, and add subscribers and let my current subscribers know when new content is on my page. How can I do that when I've lost the ability to communicate with my subscribers? Number 2, Every video currently on my page has lost all comments. I can't see any of them, nor can I comment to my subscribers. It also seems as though I get brushed off by RUclips when I try to get answers. Frankly, I'm mad. Every comment seems to give me the same answer Sorry but oh well. I see this action by RUclips to sensor smaller nonmotorized channels. A simple thing for RUclips to do would be to use their algorithm software to search RUclips accounts and those that are smaller less know channels to make sure they are just normal channels. Lastly, to shut down the ability for smaller lesser know channels to operate is just censorship without due cause. I have already made steps forward to shut my channel down and move to Vimeo. My worry is I can't remove my videos off RUclips to transfer them.

Really good advice here! Love channel review videos like this.
Thanks! They're fun to make! A break from the normal "3 ways to do this or that" kind of thing.

Good One!!!!! Suspense - Deliver. Suspense- deliver. Suspense- deliver.
That’s what I got it ya it
I have to say, this felt so much like a video you did for a paying client and also became a 'let's publish this video on YT as well'.

Great advice, still growing everyday and hope to only expand. Thanks for these.
Is it possible to change audience while producing a similar content (cooking channel)? I'll love to know your opinion Tim!
It's possible, yes, but expect to see the channel decline a bit while the old audience filters out and new people come in.
This is awesome. I just realized we dont have an channel trailer video! Gosh! Thanks so much for the help!
Perfect information for youtubers. Even New ones like me. 👍
