Carver is slowly growing into one of my favorite of the next gen members. He’s reckless and belligerent but it comes from the heart he cares about his crew and will go through hell and back for them. I hope he and Violet patch things up I think where they stand they both have too much trauma to be anything more at the moment.
What?? The guys instigated it, shoved and punched a firefighter. There's no world where the police would go with "We got jumped by firefighters" (I know this is fiction, but even in universe thats a weak argument)
Yep, the father was being a complete a** in front of his son, and the firefighters. He was mentally crazy, could have killed the son and the two firefighters along. I think both Carver and Sam did the best choice by. They stood up for the son, and defended themselves the best they did. They both did the right choice!!
Of course, Carver and Damon did the right thing. And, it's more. Carver understands what happened to the boy, because he lived it himself. Carver's older brother also burned Carver himself. Only in this case it was with boiling water. When Carver asked Big Brother if he was the one who threw the hot water on him. You can see how the younger Brother turns his head and makes that nervous face and sees his older Brother. It's obvious that the older brother did it. But the younger brother did not want it to be known. On the other hand, with Damon, it was normal for him to react this way because of the beating he received from the boy's older brother with his burned arm and how the brothers' father behaved. Because He also gave it back. Because Damon claimed that Benny Severide, his father, who is also the father of his Half-Brother Kelly, also treated him the same way. And that is something that you cannot avoid and you get into a fight that you cannot avoid. But from the way the brothers' Father behaved, I can assure you that he was a man who surely had a history of assaults or fights in bars. But surely no charges were ever filed. Possibly not even his children wanted their father to go to prison. Maybe charges were never filed or they were dropped. In fact, that would make sense, because apparently, this man is the only person in their lives, the older brother and younger brother. Which means that even though he is this abusive to Them, they didn't want to lose the only person close to Them. Even more so because the mother of the Brothers, nor the Father's Wife, was never also mentioned. And when Carver and Damon started fighting, you can see how the little brother makes that scared face. As if to say, this is my fault. I caused all of this and I don't want things to end like this. And there are even rumors that now a rule would be put in place that attacking a firefighter or pushing him is a crime, much more serious than that of a police officer.
Stella is a terrible leader. the dad started everything by grabbing her and pushing her back (looked like he was trying to choke her at first pass). Carver then rightfully stepped up and defended her. Damon then got randomly sucker punched by the older son. instead of standing up for her men, Stella instead blames the whole thing on Carver and Damon and berates them for “jumping” the guy, all while abandoning her duty as a mandatory reporter of a clear case of abuse. just straight up leaves the victim behind even if the firefighters did start it, as she claims, that’s on HER for not having control over her subordinates. in reality though, it’s the second time she’s needed Carver to step in and protect her and the second time she’s then backed off from supporting him in order to absolve herself of any responsibility. and to go even further, she does no follow up or take any formal disciplinary action even though her accounting of what happened clearly merits suspension

I know this is just a fictional show, but irl, first responders are taught to de-escalate situations like this. If they suspect abuse is going on, they wouldn't outright accuse the suspected abuser. Instead, it's best to remove the victim from the dangerous environment, treat any injuries in the ambulance, and then also let the police know what's going on.
To be honest Violet is correct that Sam Craver did and still do have romantic feelings for Stella Kidd and he knows it just like Violet had romantic feelings for Blake Gallo at onetime while she was dating Evan Hawkins but her feelings towards Evan were and is more genuine than she did towards Blake Gallo that's why he suggested that they remain friends they both know that it wouldn't have worked out for neither one of them. And two Violet deserves better than Sam Craver for the record he was with Wendy remember they just casual nothing serious just like they are but Violet deserves a man that she believes that he has genuine true feelings and love towards her a man that's like a Evan Hawkins but better just like it was for Sylvia Brett and Matt Casey they are meant to be together forever. Violet deserves a man like Matt Casey, Evan Hawkins you know a man that she can see herself setting down with and to get married and I want the writers to send in a new love interest for Violet that's a better man and match for her like it was for Sylvia Brett Casey with Matt Casey. That's what Crossovers are for maybe hopefully in Chicago Med or PD maybe Kevin or Danet on Chicago PD or another man on Chicago Med hopefully? Any other man that's better for Violet or than Sam Craver.
