Adam Levy has an established guitar voice that we first heard on Tracy Chapman's "Give Me One Reason," then on albums and tours with Norah Jones, and sharpened to a fine point on his latest release, Spry. Besides his work as a guitarist, Levy has also devoted himself to being an educator through his Guitar Tips channel, Truefire instructional courses, and time spent as the Guitar Dept. Chair at the Los Angeles College of Music. Additionally, Adam made great contributions to the world of guitar journalism as a staff writer for Guitar Player Magazine in the 90s.
Today Adam shares his musical adventures, expresses his love for his 1964 Gibson ES-335, and his excitement in releasing the "jazz album of his dreams," Spry. Видеоклипы
Another fantastic interview Zac. Adam has an ASMR-type voice that one could listen to for hours …so relaxing. Your prep work, as usual, is outstanding. Just wind up the Energizer bunny and let it go.
Absolutely fabulous musician!
Zac, That was great! I had Adam for a summer in National Guitar Summer Camp. I think I learned more from him than anyone else… in my life! It was a jazz class, but he spoke freely about what might be good for me. I wish I had taken more of his advice. Really great to hear him interviewed by you.
I saw Adam with Norah Jones in 2004, a very memorable show in Milwaukee. Adam’s playing is hypnotic, and he seems to play the little things that grow big! Always in the right place at the right time. Great interview!
Guitar sounds so sweet.
Just finished all the old episodes. Y’all have come a long way.
Great Interview, . Adam has a lovely demeanour, He has a really nice friendly way of communicating
Such an amazing musician, and what a great insight…once I stopped looking at the screen to get past the autofocus thing and my eyes watering.
❤❤❤ so relaxing
Great interview! I studied one summer at Blue Bear School of Music back in the late 70s. First time hearing that name since I was there.
Yeah Man!
Love Adam’s insights, playing and his diverse musical tastes. He’s got a great RUclips channel too. Love that Fender grille cloth as wall decor; great idea 🤣
Beautiful !! Thanks Zac ❤
My pleasure!!
Another great interview Zac. I have been hoping that one day you would have a chance to interview Robben Ford but I heard that he no longer lives in Nashville and has moved to France?
Ironic honky tonk.. awesome! Thank you Zac
Any time!
