I was very much involved in the efforts to evacuate the ladies from my historical all-female flight out of Kabul, Afghanistan. Mohadese, the young First Officer, Veronika, the Ukrainian Captain and Shagufa, Cabin Crew made it out of Kabul on the very last flight before the airport was collapsing. They were supposed to fly out on the Airbus A340 which you can see above but the plane was overrun by Afghans trying to leave the country. Instead they took a 737 out of Kabul piloted by Veronika and 80 other passengers to Kiev which was literally the last commercial plane to take off. Kam Air Staff even brought guns on the plane to protect themselves in case desperate Afghans would try to storm this plane as well. Arefa, the Purser of the all-female flight managed to fled to Iran the night before. Unfortunately Nargis didn't get out of Kabul but she is currently save staying with her family in Kabul. I have put her in touch with several people trying to get her out too. The only person I haven't heard off is Freshta, who was the 4th Crew. I tried to message her a few times but no response so far. I hope she is doing well. I'm going to try to meet the girls next week and see how I can help them settle into their new lives. But I have received a lot of messages from my community trying to offer them jobs or opportunities. I hope they are all going to be ok!

I love 'escaping on a plane at the last moment' scenes. They're like the rescues where the calvary comes riding over the hill, also at the last moment. Perfect drama. I don't care for the broader plot of this movie, but some individual scenes are first rate.

@@shafwandito4724 it’s pretty important to takeoff with flaps... it probably takes about 30 seconds for them to get into position it can also be done while taxiing to the runway or during the after start checklist as most airlines do it now. Also I think I did see some flaps out just not much...
