It’s not really “winning” they are just invisible to the infected.
“Winning” would be somehow curing the infected, but yeah it is a more hopeful ending than most zombie movies.

@@samuelfawell9159either finding a cure, or purging all infected. Either way gets the same results.
In this case, the infection kills the host and as it takes over the brain, resuscitates the body after roughly 10 seconds from initial infection, so the infection is irreversible, hence the purge option being the only one left.
It's sad to think those who fought for weeks to stay alive die from explosion attacks because they were sick already. This movie is probably the best zombie movie by far, especially for its time.

We all are carriers of viruses and bacteria, and we all have some Form of non deadly Tumor in us. They need to see them all in our bodies and know which one is deadly.

Could be fascinating to see what a scientist zombie does in that place. Maybe he tries making a cure or something or tries to make an infection. Or as he evolves he gains knowlesge and opens the door by himself without having to accidentally bump onto the button.
The zombie also made a sad growl.
Whoever the Zombie was that Brad’s character tested with is a Good actor! Great memorable scene!
Didn't matter which drug he used. Ain't no zombie getting through that Brad Pitt plot armor.
Wasn't a drug, he literally gave himself a disease and that is what makes them stop attacking you, if you have something that they consider to make you too sick of a host
He discovered that they dont attack if you are terminally ill, it has to do with the fact that a virus needs a healthy host for it to live so it doesnt even try to jump on the bodies it detects are not. The metal crate he carries has viruses inside that they will make vaccines out of. Vaccine they made in the end was essentially a collection of viruses that make you look terminally ill to them to sort of mask u, but doesnt kill u.
He gave himself a number of goofy ahh diseases (curable ofc) to fool the zombies

When Zombie outbreak does happen. The first thing the government should be focused on is evacuating as many scientists as possible and provide them with the safest environment and resources. Of course it’s also important to evacuate civilians as well.

Honest to god, if they had named this movie something else, it would have gotten a better reputation. This movie is one of the better zombie movies out there.

This movie screamed for a sequel. Too bad it never came to be.
What was there for a sequel, they found the means to protect what was left of humanity for the infected, and used it to lure out, and purge the infected en masse. The zombie apocalypse was averted in its near entirety.
Thats it, it's done, what more is left after that for a zombie flick.

@@solidmoon8266 sequel could have fallen the same story as the book. A guy going around the world collecting stories about the war from beginning to end form different parts of the world. Stories from Americans in the heartland to a Chinese nuclear submarine crews.
@@TempPlacethat’s what pissed my husband off about the movie. That the book is a collection of stories about other people. One story is fine if they’d added in a little extra by him collecting just one story, otherwise it’s not so much World War Z and more just a zombie movie.

Funnily enough, if you think about it they probably would have! Considering how slow some symptoms of either disease or vaccines can be, it could've taken some time for him to show signs of being ill. Even then, how a zombie senses the illness/vaccine is unclear. One could guess sent, but that would mean they would have to be next to him to smell it, and we've seen how some of them jump!
Yeah like the first one he encountered was like a vegetarian zombie and Pitt had a false sense of security. 😂

"World War Z"(2013) is an excellent Zombie horror movie! This is a well made and some moments very agonizing movie!

Zombie movies are often underated and only the ones with serious script get's attention and fame whereas others get's lame.
For Example movies like: World War Z (2013), Dawn Of The Dead(2004), Go Goa Gone(2013) have serious script put into a plot which makes sense.

Zombies biting and moving on makes a lot more sense because how are they going to spread the infection if they incapacitate the people they find. The hosts's goal is to spread not to eat everything so biting and moving on is actually far more accurate.
The audio book of the original novel was SO much better.
