Pertty sure she hooked up the hose backwards.
The 90 deg end should be on the machine so it can sit flat on the counter.

Make sure you hook it up right, you didn't.

Unfortunately, it doesn't work unless you reverse the hose, and have the unit hang off your counter so it hangs straight down, otherwise the unit will not run. Very annoying and disappointing.
