Speed shapes help show off the pearls and pigments. Great for these test ! But I still loving the finished car showcase! And definitely appreciate the extended car spraying times
For these types of videos yes! I love when you guys do the entire car though. The speed shapes give me crazy ideas for my 5th scale RC cars. Don't care how much it costs, I might be coming in for an estimate on a small batch of ZTE. It's like blurple on steroids.
Doing the speed shapes and in the gloss really made the shifts pop. The mix is gorgeous imo. I like that subtle, smooth shift in colour, it's why I've done a purple base with a purple metal flake over the top.
what would happen if you mix two colors in separate cans and then just poured them into the hopper together without steering them and then sprayed it would it come out as two different color paint in sporadic patterns
This is the perfect time to inform us as to deal with those runs. I’ve repainted some of my body panels because I was unable shape them out with wet sanding. The whole effect of the colour shift was completely ruined. No matter what I did I couldn’t get the bottom of the run to blend so a complete sanding and new base coat and colour base to try again. I painted the rear gate of my Dodge Magnum several times. Every time I sanded out the wrinkling it came back in even more areas.
I don't have a car to paint but I've been hooked on these vids for like 2 weeks now, I've got shifting acrylic paints for miniature painting so your 'Speedshape' testing is actually more beneficial to me though you only have one or 2 where you play around with other basecoats. Love the Channel!
My husband is a painter. He hooked me onto your channel and ive learned a lot. Hes teaching me what he does all day and now I see all the hard work (not that i didnt know about it before) but i have a BMW we wanna do up this spring. My inspiration is the Sahara color. Thank you for helping me to find the perfect color for my dream car and paint job!!!
More hyper shifts please. That was a pretty good result I was expecting 1 to mostly drown the other out but they both seemed to come through ok. And keep up those huge speed shapes. Definantly worth it!!
I'm still amazed that these colors are peelable. Those colors are crazy. Those shifts and the gloss! Amazing! I love the outcome of this experiment! Beautiful shifts in this! Great video!
Loved everything about this video , the experimentation , the way to proceed and the results . And got to know a hypershift that I didn't know , ZTO , witch is absolutely gorgeous !!
really glad you went back and sprayed the speedcones. makes a huge difference. also, the colour, ya, interesting, not my top pick, but i could see someone liking it.
It'd mix in the gun as it sprayed. At most you'd get light and dark random spots where the colors didn't mix, but as he built.up layers it'd just cover them up and change with every layer till.it all basically blended together. You have to keep.in mind when it sprays out of the gun the tip atomizes it.
Looks like you have found a new method to use for these videos because THAT is the way to show off the true transition and effects created by these combinations. I'm not in love with the end result, but I think the new method is tremendous!
Yes please that was off the hook , and the speed shapes showed much better detail then just the hood thank you an keep it coming love it like always great job
I want to see small flake and large flake pearl mix, using hyper shift pearl if possible. I feel like the contrast would be a bit different than large+large or small+small
Definitely use the shape things at the end for future vids, didn't think much when it was on the bonnet (hood), actually thought you were wasting your time but once you sprayed the shapes it was a million times better, keep up the great vids....... I'm hooked 😜😜
The pink to gold shift is neat, but I think what really catches my eye is how on the very edges this kind of dark deep plum color starts to show. It's also wild because the colors are fairly muted but the shifting remains quite intense. Thanks for doing this, it was expensive but it's guys like you that help push plastidip to the limits and really show what's possible! Not a lot of guys are willing to drop money like this just for the "what if", and awesome stuff like this wouldn't happen without you.
I really like how that mix came out when I saw it on the shape. Nice subtle pink champagne kind of colour with hints of purpley blue in the shadows, and then that gold just comes out and slaps you upside the head.
That blue hypershift looks awesome. I think Rover Group cars had something similar called Amaranth Blue but the transition between hues was less dramatic though definitely noticeable. Colour transition separation is much stronger here, and saturation is much greater at each transition end. I'd love to use it.
Definitely, the giant speed shape helped to show the shifting. How about a hypershift pearl with a contrasting juice? That might be cool! Why don't you try it! And auto flex gloss was fantastic!!!!!
That plumb is fantastic. The color I want is that flash. With a shift from almost black. Maybe put just a little black in the top coat to darken it up.
I love your description of what Hyper-shift is. "Think of it as color shifting but multiply it by 10. It’s much more dramatic......" damn definitely sounds like a real-world reference nowadays 😂😂😀
More HyperShift. Would like to see what you can do with a Prius though. Also for HyperShift, maybe a White perl mixed with something super contrasting...?
ZTA is my FAVORITE color change pearl of ALL but, I don't care much for it when mixed with the ZTE because it cancels out too much of the BEAUTIFUL purple tones. Keep up the GREAT work Fonzie!!😎⚔🇺🇸
You should do speed shapes for every color, they are far better to show how color shift works on different angles etc, also how much of this would u need to do a miata, with a hard top, cheers
Hey Fonzie, I've got a little advice for you. I would suggest to play more with the speed shapes, even consider smaller ones, instead of the bonnet that is too big and not so prone to hue and angle transitions. This will also help you keep the costs down and it will leave room for so much more investing in mixed colours and pearls and more videos to help us decide and get some experience. Make sure to take the speed shapes outside under sunlight so we can see the real world variations of the colours. Thank you for this brilliant effort to make us fall in love with dipping our cars.
So... use those big speed shapes for future mixing vids?
Yes, always. Way better idea of how they look over the flat hood!
Speed shapes help show off the pearls and pigments. Great for these test ! But I still loving the finished car showcase! And definitely appreciate the extended car spraying times

DipYourCar Yes!!
Absolutely!
Doing the speed shapes and in the gloss really made the shifts pop. The mix is gorgeous imo. I like that subtle, smooth shift in colour, it's why I've done a purple base with a purple metal flake over the top.
These speed shapes are WAAAAYYY better to show a representation of the color! GREAT JOB!!
I think from now on you should use the speed shapes to show of these experiments because holy cow!
what would happen if you mix two colors in separate cans and then just poured them into the hopper together without steering them and then sprayed it would it come out as two different color paint in sporadic patterns
Exactly what I was thinking!! Came to post that but you already did.
Please do this.
This was going to be my comment lol
Only one way to find out!
@@dipyourcar Do it! I'm interested in buying if it works out
Yes, yes and YES!!!! MORE AUTOFLEX GLOSS!!!! That was SO AWESOME!!!!!! 😎
I agree! So shiny!
Speed shapes hands down better than the hood 👍
The mad scientist experiments are awesome. The speed shapes made all the difference.
The giant speed shape was great for demonstrating these color shifts. And YES, more hypershift mixes please!
The speed shape was a good idea because it made the mixture look so much better
A sugestion: make 25% 50% and 75% Mix of pearls. It'd show the transformation of the color more accurately. Without much more extra cost involved.
I love the color that made mixing the 2 together. That plum maroonish purple with the gold looks fantastic.
I'm actually very satisfied with the color and effect of the two mixed together. very impressed. I would love to see more hyper shifts also.
Yes, yes, yes. As much as I love matte paint. The gloss really sets these mixes up. Beautiful representation.
The speed shapes really helped. The mixture looks like champagne to deep gold pearl. It would look great on the right car.

All three colors are just stunning
Do a similar one but without mixing the colors
More hyper shifts please. That was a pretty good result I was expecting 1 to mostly drown the other out but they both seemed to come through ok. And keep up those huge speed shapes. Definantly worth it!!

Once applied to the large speed shapes, the 50-50 mixture looked really nice!
really glad you went back and sprayed the speedcones. makes a huge difference. also, the colour, ya, interesting, not my top pick, but i could see someone liking it.
I wanna see you not mix the colors, pour them and don't mix. It would be super cool to see how it works out!
That did look pretty cool
Thank god I'm not the only one who had this idea.
I was thinking the same pour the 2 together dont mix and spray

@@sinformantbut I want to see it 👀

I like the mixed combo, as you said different
More please! I love watching these! If you get really bored one day you should mix all the pearls at once...
Yes please that was off the hook , and the speed shapes showed much better detail then just the hood thank you an keep it coming love it like always great job
different ratios would be interesting, instead of 50/50, 75% blue to 25 gold, maybe it would retain some of the blue.
I really enjoy these color mixing videos👍
I want to see small flake and large flake pearl mix, using hyper shift pearl if possible. I feel like the contrast would be a bit different than large+large or small+small

Have you considered doing a coat of one on top of the other instead of mixing the two?
Yeah I was just thinking this
YES! More mixing! and a video on how to spray AUTOFLEX!
The new color in that mix kinda reminds me of EDI from stealth, pretty sweet concoction you got there!
This golden-mauve is spectacular, I'd definitely use it to add sophisticated badassery to my moms car for spring! Perfect mother's day gift!
Very beautiful Mixed Hypershift pearls, love so much on blue
Its freaking amazing. Thanks for the demonstration! Cheers from Argentina
That end color was absolutely gorgeous
once again this guys work is awesome to see
That new color looks very majestic and elegant
What would happen if you added the two and NOT mix it?
Didn't like it on the hood but man a HUGE DIFFERENCE at the end!! 👍👍👍 Awesome video!!! Thank you
Absolutely want to see more! It’s going to be crazy hard to beat this result though... bookmarked this for when I finish my next build
The speed shapes and Auto Flex made such a massive difference in the colors! Would love to see ZTG mixed with ZTR or ZTX. Loving this series!
I really like how that mix came out when I saw it on the shape. Nice subtle pink champagne kind of colour with hints of purpley blue in the shadows, and then that gold just comes out and slaps you upside the head.
The dramatic music really creates an experience of great anticipation.
I really appreciate the scientific approach to a lot of your products. Makes me wanna dip my Corvette!
That blue hypershift looks awesome. I think Rover Group cars had something similar called Amaranth Blue but the transition between hues was less dramatic though definitely noticeable.

The speed shapes were amazing they were a lot better than the hood
Like you said Fonzie! Not my fav but definitely unique. ZTP(plum)! Speed shapes are definitely ON!
Yes please more AUTOFLEX GLOSS. Looks awesome!!
Love that blue color. Super sick.
Like others have mentioned I wonder what i would look like without mixing. It's all because of the thumbnail you guys chose.
The Pinkish and Gold was truly awsome..
Wow, Autoflex is mindblowing. Please do use the speed shapes with any colorshifting pearls. The angles and bodylines really show it.
Definitely, the giant speed shape helped to show the shifting. How about a hypershift pearl with a contrasting juice? That might be cool! Why don't you try it! And auto flex gloss was fantastic!!!!!

Honestly mixing them together on that speed shape you made rose gold
Please do more mixes. It's extremely informative
I think the Plum is off the chain
That blue was amazing
That is BEAUTIFUL!! DYC
Interesting color. Great video Fonzie.
Yes.... that would be awesome .....mix masters.....awesome video
I'm super impressed with the end results.
I'm in love with the mixture with the gloss. Would look dope on my Infiniti m56
Gloss hypershifts look amazing
For things like this definitely use the speed shaped more shows the colours off alot more and i really liked it
I love that color it looks so unique.
yeah I see that 1st color looking really good on a oldskool with gold daytons.😎🏆
I’d call this color Sunset Boulevard. Great vid as always. Love this !
Great video as always
love you guys stuff keep up the good work
Wow that is actually a really beautiful color . Would look good on a muscle car
Wow just wow love what you do man .

Yes plz do more mixes!!!
I like the color on the speed shape. It's like light fuchsia to a golden color, looks nice.
Those colors look eeexxttrraaa moist I love it
What if you mix similar color colorshift pearls with hypershift pearls? Would the hypershifts enhance the colorshifts?
This was my favorite one yet I love these videos so interesting
Amazing work!
You should do speed shapes for every color, they are far better to show how color shift works on different angles etc, also how much of this would u need to do a miata, with a hard top, cheers
Great videos! Id love to see a nice bright white pearl but with white/gold with those extreme vibrant mixes you have..?
So metallic 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Love love love this color

Those speed shapes looked dope
I would love to see a platinum white with those orange hypershift pearls mixed in! Not too much of the pearl though!
And also mixing small particles and big particles could probably show the difference in colors. Mind. B. L. O. W. N.
What would happen if you did a hyper shift of one color and a normal color shift of a drastic opposite color?
Yes use the speed shapes and I would like to see more hyper mixing
