      Is there an alternative to using noise to influence the spline? Because instead of pulling downward only I'm getting rope also pushing upward which I don't really want. Thank you.

      Yeah there is actually. You can use a conform modifier that takes your selection from the spline influence, and have that conform to closes points on a plane that has the noise modifier instead, set below the wires.

    figured out a process we end up using in a project with a success
    instanced params, mind blown 🤯
