It's one of Nathaniel Hornblower's pieces. He was a legendary Swiss film director who ventured into music videos to help his nephew, Adam Yauch. They were seldom seen together due to a strained relationship but Hornblower would always help out with Yauch's career because Swiss people can't turn down requests to help family in need. It's written into their law. Punishment for failing to help family is to spend six months in the Swiss navy patrolling and protecting their vulnerable coastline.

I know exactly what you mean. I've had this experience with other obscure music videos I only saw once as a boy like, say, waking up with the TV left on, half asleep and a music video like "Birdhouse in your Soul' is playing at half four in the morning. I'm trying to explain it to friends and family where they all go "dafuq are you talking about?"

I grew up in London during the rise of the grime era and became a fan of the Beastie Boys after hearing Intergalactic when I was 11. Where I grew up if you listened to any kind of alternative music you were seen as ‘corny’ etc so I never showed my friends my love for the Beastie Boys. When I became 16 I met people who were more open minded and it allowed me to be more outward with the music I liked. Now I’m 25 and absolutely open about the music I like. Beastie Boys is art man, MCA’s death was one of the first celebrities I was really sad to hear had died RIP

Thank you for replying. I think the 25-45 crowd (I'm 28) gets it, regardless of whether or not they were Beastie Boys fans, and younger people who haven't grown up with them have no concept of how deep their impact is. I've been watching interviews, videos, documentaries, and listening to their albums for the last two days. It really feels like the end of an era, and it really hurts.

Berend de Liagre Bohl they made fight for your fight originally, the idea of it, to make fun of all the people they portrayed to be. they sat around and discussed literally "what is the stupidest fucking thing we can think of" and then they came up with this idea to fight for the right to party. it wasnt until people around them and performed to liked the idea that they took it seriously and went with it.

The only thing I remembered from the video clip was a kind of struggle for a sauce pic, and the fight in the plane.
i fount it 'cause youtube recommend me watch "intergalactic" and the quality video and bizarre scenes make me say "oh wait, i think this is the same band from that song i can't find" and it was !!
the last time I heard it before i found it was aprox 1998 or 1999 and for sure on mtv.
