THE Robert Trujillo's bass solo + TABS (Metallica live Sydney 2004, Big Day Out)
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 18 мар 2017
- This is my favorite Robert Trujillo's bass solo, it's from Metallica's performance on Big Day Out (live Sydney 2004). I was astonished when watched it for the first time back to 2009. I didn't play bass then, even didn't plan to. But that had planted a seed of what I am now. Robert was my first bass teacher.
This bass solo tab is revised, and now id the most accurate in Internet. Specially for you, my friends. Enjoy playing! \m/ andriyvasylenko.com/robert-tru...

Cliff Burton - Art
Jason Newsted - Energy
Robert Trujillo - Skill
Got that backwards
Also , Robert - crabwalk
@Roman Ruiz Cliff was actually technically Metallica's least skilled bassist...
Rob brings the groove. A lot of times the coolest stuff isn't all that technical or hard to play.
@@MasterofLightning I guess its not Jason's style to shred on bass. According to Flemming Rasmussen Jason was more tight in rhytmical sense while Cliff was more of a talented musical explorer.
I was 17 when I saw this solo. Maybe then I decided to become a bassist.
Andriy Vasylenko I love to play bass, but I want to start to get into music theory do you know any good ways too?
Shrektin theanus the best way to do so is with the instrument, if you know enough about your bass it will help you understand music theory
Shrektin theanus also go to a music school
The Homebrew Critique I mean I love playing bass but it wont get me anywhere plus I have a scholarship to texas tech for programming
Shrektin theanus The guy has a good point. Music theory must be aplicable. So I recommend you to learn playing bass and theory together. Scales, intervals, chords - all of that is a basic that you can use on bass. The more you practice, the deeper you get into theory, piece by piece, not all at once
with that solo, i stared to respect Rob more than ever.
Great bassist \m/
I think, this solo has served him very well to gain love from fans)
I still prefer cliff, but rob is a excelent bass player too!
0:31 that move!!!
That bass tone!!
Dude you put out the stuff that literally no one else does. Thanks for existing! \m/
Glad to know that helps) Enjoy playing \m/
He's so skilled, he was my inspiration to start the bass
I guess in the meantime you have heard some real bassists and you found out that he isn't skilled at all.
@@matthiaskern5899 There's more to skill than technical proficiency.
@@matthiaskern5899 Music fans have turned into Commies who argue over levels of skill. Everyone must be exactly the same or else they suck.
@@matthiaskern5899 You don't have to be highly skilled to move people and change their lives and make them love music. Even then, this solo was pretty skillful.
Robert's intros for For Whom The Bell Tolls will always be my favourite. Mans got skill
I guess I'm try to say, Jason and Rob got the skills and they show off because they can....Cliff though was born a soloist. Works like Orion and Call of Kutulu show that if you let him he can add deep and meaningful solo work to almost any song.
Good point!
I was there 2004, front row..lightening crashing over the stage.. covered in James n robs sweat ..nothing beats Metallica live in the open air...epic!
God, that solo will always have a special place in my heart
Crabman Strikes Again
Enter Crabman
hopefully we'll see a cover of this from you in the future \m/
The Iceman Yeah, as soon as I get a 5-string bass)
@@AndriyVasylenko Did u got it yet?
@@Gipsy_T. only an acoustic one, still doing 4 strings
My only issue with this solo is that it's not at least 2x longer
I love all the Metallica guys but is it just me Cliff really said something when he played. It just wasn't solo, go fast. To me Cliff was more of a thinker and he choose each note carefully, we didn't waste them.
Agree 100%. Rob definitely is skilled in his own right, but Cliff put lots of thought into his solos
@@williamvandergrift9741Jason put also a lot of thought for this solos. Jason and Cliff are better than Rob but Jason was so underrated by Lars and James
@@brandon_death_thrash exactly. Over the past year I’ve converted from a Cliff guy to a Jason guy, dude is a menace on the bass
The is one of the best bass solo I have ever heard
I'm 16 now and Cliff Burton and You are My inspiration to play bass \m/
It's an honor to me! Enjoy playing bro\m/
Me too, man
The most accurate tabs in Internet. Specially for you, my friends. Enjoy playing! \m/ andriyvasylenko.com/robert-trujillo-bass-solo-2004-tab
Andriy Vasylenko thanks you teacher, im guitar player but i love your work and dedication
Kevin ArnoldTV Thanks man \m/
Dude, thank you so much, I have been wanting to learn this for years
Enjoy playing \m/
I keep coming back to this 🔥 wish I had a bass I want to learn this really bad
I LOVE YOU ANDRIY!!! THANK YOU
\m/
He's so skilled, he was my inspiration too
That tone 😍
Me encanta esta pieza del bajo de robert muy cool la verdad
THANKS!
I had no hope on finding this bass solo.
Me too, that's why i made this tab)) Enjoy playing!
Thank you so much, loved the solo, but could never play it myself, I can practice it precisely now
It's my pleasure bro)
My favorite bass solo and bassist. Thank you so muchh
You're welcome)
The Best solo of trujillo are when he was in Suicidal Tendencies when their solo are funky: slap
thank you so much, you re awesome
\m/
Боже,какое прекрасное соло.Спасибо за табы!!!Я выучил его.Как его кайфово играть
Every single time I restart the video just to watch the perfect juicy bass
OMG thank you this is the bass solo ever other than cliff burton for whom the bell tolls
\m/
No homosexuality in this sentence but I love you andriy than rob \m/
*love you andriy more than rob*
lol I appreciate it \m/
But Rob is better! You know it's sad but true...
Everyone who Heard this the first Time secretly hoped to be able to play it or at least have the tab , and here you are
Yeah 😮
Amazing Tabs Andriy, but can you upload his other intro on Mexico City 2009 at Foro Sol? Is almost the same but it will be great, thanks.
Thanks! One he played on Aztec bass? I plan to make a several more bass solos tabs, and this one is included) Stay tuned!
Best bass RUclips out there, Davie504 and y’all should switch subscriber count
opened this video to see the tabs (not that i know how to play...i don't) and i thought if it was vasylenko's work...jackpot
A lot of this follows a similar pattern to Bassically, the intro to NIB by Black Sabbath. Not saying Rob stole it or anything, its just a good set of intervals to solo on with electric bass.
Good
Thanks, now i need a five strings
He's wild
For whom the bells tolls mexico 2009
Please
Sidney 04 is one of Metallica Greatests Shows ever
anyone have any idea on any plugins/amp/pedals to get this sound?
Hi Andriy, do you know which pedal(s) Rob uses here? Really want that crunchy tone on my bass!
you have mistake in name of video, correct be "THE Roberto Agustín Miguel Santiago Samuel Trujillo Veracruz's bass solo + TABS (Metallica live Sydney 2004, Big Day Out)"
Loco de otro planeta hijo de la rebelión de los astronautas
Hey man, you think you ever will cover rush?
chaak castellanos Hey. I think I will
What is the tuning for this
hey, could you do a 4 string version for this just like your cover of this?
Unfortunately you can not really play this on four string as it uses open B which is five frets lower than E and drop d is also too high for this
4 string please
Very primus-y just the way he plays makes it sound kinda like slap and it has that crunch that just works
Not primus-y at all. I guess you are not a bassist, right?
@@matthiaskern5899 i meant in the way it sounds like slap with distortion, sounds like it could be a primus riff or solo
Hey you are a super talented bass player. I dont know if you have ever done something by jason newsted but you would love to see and learn how to play his bass solo from seek and destroy off the live binge and purge album
Thanks! I've made a few bass covers on his stuff. And about solo - will see
Basa guitar name ? Model ?
Please, You only have to do one solo tab by Jason Newsted. The best is "Metallica - RARE VIDEO - Jason (Intro) My friend of misery / Doodle - Milton Keynes UK 1993"
hey dude, i must be blind but i didnt see the password to the PDF, could u give it to me or tell me where i can get it?
Thanks for your work and i love your dedication to play this songs perfectly
Srry, i now see where i can get the PW, still love your work tho, TY
Thanks bro) Enjoy playing \m/
Hey friend when will you do 83 metro solo cliff played before whiplash?
Hi man. I think I replied you few days ago under Battery
hello bass bro \m/ do you have any opinion about MusicMan Sterling S.U.B 4 ?
Syring XXL Hi. I've never tried it, so I don't have an opinion=/
How do you get that tone?
god damn what bass is that? warwick? don’t know either way that’s one hell of a tone i love it the slides are so heavy
I think it is a Fernandez bass. They sell a model that looks almost identical to the bass in this video
Tuning?
Cliff - lead
Jason - versatility
Robert - groove
Hey hey hey hey hey hey hey
That's how ya Do it
Not a big fan of him but gotta respect him
Hey Andriy, do you have any idea what he's using to get this tone?
I think, some good overdrive pedal. I got similar tone with Boss ODB-3
Alright cool, thank you sir
Please , play solo with tabs of robert trujillo live in mexico city 2009 ,before start the song for whom the bell tolls, thank you.
I'm amateur. Do I need 5-string bass for this?
Actually yes. But you could try change a couple of notes to fit on 4-string
What is the tuning? It doesn’t sound like standard (Yes I am aware it’s a 5 string)
I think is Eb instead of E standard
I think this is 300x better than the solo he plays nowadays. that detuning and hittin the bass thing.
He had to prove to fans that he's good))
Yes now he does what he wants to do. but I will always like a solo if it's played by a metallica bassist :DD. and thanks a lot to you for bringing great content to us. I'm also a bass player and your lessons and content about metallica are quite usefull.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
0:14
What’s the tuning? I’m not sure if it’s E standard so I’m guessing D standard
it's D# standard, right in between
This is one of thoose solos that inpsire meto play bass. The other ones are definetly the Day on the Green one, and The first Anesthesia. And you too btw :)
\m/ The Cliff's solo with tabs will be in few days)
Question: Is 35 Met riffs part 2 had a time when it was going to youtube, or it has not started yet?
No determined time yet
Oh, thanks for replying :)
And why did you ask? You have some ideas?)
Why does it sound like it's Eb tuning (half step)?
Because it is, they have been using this tuning since 90s to save James voice
Andriy Vasylenko I have an interesting cover about cliff Burton whiplash solo 83! m.ruclips.net/video/lB3extOUHDo/видео.html
I think you will love it. That live performance is legendary still to this day.
sounds like a million garage band solos
He's playing the guitar not the bass
Owww finaly i can play it but fuck i havent 5 strings
Enter crabman
Tabs are wrong
I just come here to see robert Walk Like a crab
guys, this is a groovy jam, but like...its not even the slightest bit difficult to play
I cant tell if you're being sarcastic or if you're a fucking douchebag lol
Right, this is beginners stuff. Sounds like a joke.
Anesthesya 2.0
Cliff >>>>>
Wish Tallica gave him more space to solo...
They used to, especially in 2003-2005. Maybe, to make fans love him, the new bassist, more. This one and Jungle Essence are awesome. And I don't count the downtuning thing from Magnetic tours as a solo.
Bruh I thought it was easy 💀
That can't be Rob...
His strap is way too high up.
тот момент, когда ты нашел живые табы ... но с*ка у тебя бас на 4 струны
Sorry but I think that Rob is the least talented bassist that metallica has had. That solo is uninspiring to say the least, Jason had 10 x better solos. All rob can do is "crab walk" around the stage..... Bring back Jasons energy any day...
Right, Rob is a lousy bassist. He should be ashamed to play such shit in front of an audiance. Buy a bass, practice 4 weeks and you can play that too.
He plays the songs really well and has great technique. But I also think that his solos are really crappy sounding - not the sound but what he plays. Just really boring and uninspired
Filthy dirty bass.
It’s really not that good
...that's a pretty crappy solo though...
Sounds HORRIBLE and DISGUSTING!!
It IS horrible and disgusting.
