Been a Korn fan since 94, I never knew Trujillo helped out in the early days! His boy is a beast on the bass, then again with Robert as his dad, how could he not be!
Tye is awesome but as a dad with a rambunctious 4 year old boy I think that Robert and his wife both deserve major credit for raising such a grounded young man. The footage of young Tye having the freedom to bang on everything and being encouraged to express himself was far more inspiring to me than the concert footage.
That's so freaking cool Robert seeing his son performing live with Korn! I'm sure it's something he'll always cherish as a dad. But hopefully he'll be seeing more of his son with his own band soon.
Absolutely. They had such a unique sound unlike anything else out there. Plus I could relate with a lot of the subject matter. Topics almost no one talks about but a lot of people suffer through.
What a life Tye has. Fooling around backstage with Metallica and jamming with them for fun. This kicked is going to have some kick ass music of his own soon. Can' wait to see what Korn and Metallica spawn.
It's amazing that Robert was able to have that time off to watch his son tour. I can't imagine how proud he is seeing his son up there, I'm extremely proud and I don't even know him
This was actually VERY VERY NICE! Thanks for sharing. As a proud father my self i can hear and feel his words. Nothing makes a father happier than to see a son happy. So humble, such a GREAT DAD MOVE to be there, personally assisting his son. This is PARENTING DONE WELL. Great man Robert Trujillo.
Korn and Jonathan Davis..one of the best bands and live shows around..and still in 2022 sound just as good.. Seen them 2 times this year...AMAZING!!!! can't wait to see them again in the fall of 22!!! Did i say how awesome Davis's voice is...wonder how he keeps it so great...WOW
My god man…Rob Trujillo..I have been a fan since the day you joined Suicidal Tendencies.. and then you played the magic on Infectious grooves..But I had no idea that you son was following in your footsteps..after watching this video..my jaw dropped…! Ty Trujillo.. You young man are absolutely amazing…! And yes thank you Korn for displaying this young man’s talents to the world..Ty . Have a new fan ..Matti T 🤘🏽 Hit home runs little man hit home runs!
It is so great to see a young man with such talent and he gets it. It's in him and when he plays it all comes out. You not only make dad proud but also all of us old rockers who can see that the music for the future is in the hands of a master in the making. I tip my hat to you.
Awesome to see Robert is a cool respectful dude and obvious good father and passing down same qualities to his Son who is just as cool. So awesome seeing positive good stuff in metal with family and just all around good everything. This is how it’s done and why these guys are professionals and successful musicians. Acting like a know it all and being a prick will get you nowhere in life. So cool seeing this, keep shred’n that bass the way you do Tye, and keep listening and learning from your Pop the way you are! 👍🤘🎸🤘
I mean, how fuckin cool is that right? You are literally living the dream Tye. I am immensely impressed by this. I would imagine almost every kid that loves Rock music has dreamed of doing what this guy is living. Way to go Tye. I hope you are having the time of your life. Why do I get the feeling that we are witnessing the birth of a LEGENDARY ROCKSTAR ???
That's just fkin awesome man .. I traded my electric guitar in for my daughter's so she could learn to play too.. I had a bad wreck years ago and no longer able to articulate my fingers that way . So now she gets to enjoy plucking a few strings too. 🙃
Fantastic! It is crucial that the young are given an apprenticeship in music.....taught the rules, and how to break them. And as you say carry the torch for the longevity of all music. The music culture is under attack...our whole way of life is currently under attack,.... be if we stay strong and look out for each other ... we will get through it!! Id love to see more father son/daughter music mentorships to help secure the future of rock and metal!!
Can't wait to see what Tye plays in another 10-15 years from now, creation coming from the DNA of his father and his own brain will be something beautiful to see with my own eyes!
So many musicians I've met that are down to earth, amazing human beings! So many I want to meet. The dudes in Korn always seem so cool! In 2010, I got to shake hands with John, Munky, and Fieldy, but that was it! I'd love to hang out with them!
Black Sabbath was my introduction to metal. What i love about the young man Tye is he has the opprtunity to keep metal alive for the future metalheads generations to come.
That whole story is so damn cool to hear. I don't need to wish this dude the best of luck. He's driving his own luck with his effort and determination. Good on you lil brother. Peace be with you.
I am watching this on father's day. I might be able to learn few things. Most importantly, When a 12 yrs old wearing meshuggah, you know he got right parenting.
Roberts awesome - super thoughtful and a really great musician. first time i went to his house i saw a signed picture of Jaco and thought " yep, we're good" - during a lesson i was giving him on nylon string guitar we got into a discussion about nail length...that's usually a classical guitarist / flamenco guitarist conversation..not a bass player from metallica...so, another deep point for robert's musicianship. I was going through a tuff time at that point in my life but really wish i had nurtured more time with robert and chloe. great people...grateful for the memories...good vibes. I met Robert just after the making of Some kind of Monster and thought " wow, this guy's coming over to my house for fingerstyle lessons?" After discovering more of his music - I really wished Metallica would have allowed robert to contribute his style into the band. it would have been heavier and more groovin i think..but ya know...lars and james seem like dictators.. IMHO
2002 2010-2017 2013 2008
I don't care what anyone's thoughts or opinions are about this band, or any of the individuals involved, if you're a music lover on any level, in any capacity, how can you watch this and not love it??? So fuckin' awesome. And this goes beyond music.
Im wondering why people are crying then I start crying and realize that the hopes and dreams of our fathers is simply to continue the Legacy they left for us and that means everything.
@@Bloomcycle TF does my statement have to do with his dad? Tye literally has his own band. He is playing with Korn. Sure his dad helped jump start his career but its ignorant to think he will live off his dad for his entire life, when he obviously already has his own projects going.
Robert Trujillo is a gem of a man, soft-spoken, very reflective and obviously a great father. Great job Tye!
I met him 2 months ago in CA. He is incredible and really Nice guy.
Truly spoken
Try to find the vid where Robert is playing flamenco guitar. I think Kirk walks in and is, wtf? It’s great.
best thing that happened to metallica.
@@slackerprince1 It is on the Saint-Anger video, I believe.
humble kids came from humble fathers
Mad respect for Korn giving tye a shot and having him play with his pops🤘
Daddy gave him the shot
@@Bloomcycle fieldy was sick and called on tye.

Yea that was neat! He was helping teach bass parts to Tye!
yep, Respect
When he first walked out and rocked while Robert is filming him gave me chills.
One of the most badass things ever!
Rob so awesome for takin the time to make this
I think Korn unknowingly inspired so many new musicians by bringing Tye on the road with them.
Robert is truly a wise man. An observer.
Like father like son, very talented, i can't imagine how great his skill for the next few years 👏
Seeing your own kid continue your passion when you were young, is really worth it.
That's so freaking cool Robert seeing his son performing live with Korn! I'm sure it's something he'll always cherish as a dad. But hopefully he'll be seeing more of his son with his own band soon.
The self titled KoRn album is still one of my favorite albums... definitely in my top 5 of my life

He’ll be a legend like his father rock on Tye 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Its very important that this band gets into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame! Very important
They are too good for the Rap and Roll HOF, like TOOL and AIC
Definitely not the last time we’ll see that kid on a big stage. He’s got it made. Hope he stays as cool and grounded as he seems.

and new rising legend Trujillo's son 😊 what a proud father
Une énergie de fou, le gamin est à l école du métal, cool. ❤❤❤
Well done Tye ! Difference between Tye and Fieldy is Tye actually knows scales
Fieldy has proven over and over again that you don't have to be a Musician to make it in the Music business. All about "The Show"
Amazing documentary I’m surprised I need heard of this just awesome
Vi a Korn todas las veces que vinieron a Argentina y lo del niño Tye fue espectacular !!!!!
Robert is so humble what a fresh look in todays eyes see you guys in Blacksburg in may can i have a hell yeah brother
So stoked for Tye. I am really interested to see where his career takes him.
