Japan Airlines are great. I asked if i could film by the door to get the sunset and the cabin crew girl even went and got me a stool so that i could sit and film with the tripod. The food is great, liked the ice cream

Mark Wiens i went Tokyo in December/January and i really thought the food was hit or miss some was really nice but some was just really bad. i don't think i'd go Japan again as there is a lot more places i haven't seen yet.

+Karen Cas Just took an economy flight with United and ANA air. The ANA service and food is completely on a different level. The United air food is extremely salty and oily. And they gave you this ice cream made of literally cream, and this cookie that comes from a Chinese bakery in US, which looks suspiciously yellow. The ANA service and food on the other hand is exceptional. The ice cream they served actually melts, rather stays in that weird solid cream form. American cater companies really need to step up.
+Karen Cas Yea, I worked at the United Airlines wide-body kitchen in Chicago when I was in college, and they fed us the first class fare for dinner... we worked the graveyard shift. I liked the first class food, plus it was free. The coach food was so-so. They sold their kitchens off to Sky Chefs and outsourced their food/drink services.

Mark as usual as most of your viewers would say you are always positive. Being in the hotel industry for a couple of decades it is always great to see customers appreciating the service they offer. It makes our day. Yes Japan Airlines and indeed most asian carriers including Singapore Airlines have very superior service even in economy. It is so nice of them to upgrade you and Ying to the JAL first class lounge. Well as they say good things happen to good people. In my travels I always make myself the easiest customer to serve because I know it's a tough job to serve people especially in a tube like environment and your videos alwaus inspire all of us to be better people. Thumbs up Mark and always looking good. I also seen your Korean Air video before and I am a huge fan of Korean Air and Korean culture. I must have visited Korea like 7 times already.

I fly with JAL whenever I go to Japan. Just because of that little cup of Haagen-Dazs. Literally just that. The whole tray is really nice but it is the ice-cream that makes me feel like I'm treated like a princess. Listen to this, airlines.

Japan! My dream is to visit Japan someday! Somehow on my way to work, I only get to visit their airport in Tokyo. I know it's nothing but I'm just amaze how advanced their comfort rooms are especially the toilet! A lot of buttons which I don't understand though. >..< I always look forward to in-flight meals. I love how everything is packed and organized in one tiny tray. ^_^

the food is so good in japan airlines that they sell it in the country :P like Skytime juice haha :P their green tea is so delicious that in my flight new york tokyo of 14 hours i was supposed to sleep because i had another 7 hours flight after but i couldnt sleep, i drank too much tea loll

sundragon1976 we have a ridiculous number of airports in the usa, and a ton of planes going all over the world, so competition is high. I guess people want cheaper plane tickets than satisfactory customer service.

Great report! 1:05 The Japanese curry served at JAL's First and Sakura Lounges at Narita is simply the best I have had anywhere. I fly both ANA and JAL regularly, and ANA used to serve better food than JAL until maybe 2008 or 2009 in both C (business) and Y (coach). Since then, though, JAL has improved its onboard service steadily, and it now exceeds ANA's Y by a large margin and slightly exceeds ANA's C in my opinion.

Cool beer glass..next time you use one, stuff it in your bag and send it me!! lol...We flew through Narita on ANA to Manila the last trip home (my wife is from the Phils)...the food on ANA was far above anything I have ever had on a US airline. We are doing things so wrong. I just don't get it. Customer service stinks in the US, period! Love the videos. We look forward to them every week!!
I agree a hundred percent I don't understand it either, why the US sucks so bad with customer service and we have a TON of money yet were so damn cheap too!!! Man...
sundragon1976 we have a ridiculous number of airports in the usa, and a ton of planes going all over the world, so competition is high. I guess people want cheaper plane tickets than satisfactory customer service.

Great report! 1:05 The Japanese curry served at JAL's First and Sakura Lounges at Narita is simply the best I have had anywhere. I fly both ANA and JAL regularly, and ANA used to serve better food than JAL until maybe 2008 or 2009 in both C (business) and Y (coach). Since then, though, JAL has improved its onboard service steadily, and it now exceeds ANA's Y by a large margin and slightly exceeds ANA's C in my opinion.
