I just got my new center caps and searched for a way to take them out without pulling the wheel off , several videos popped up.This method worked super easy and fast for me.Granted I had a new suction cup holder for my work phone that I never used but it worked great. Thanks!
Awesome tip, saves a lot of time and effort and potentially scratching wheels. I also liked the suggestion to throw the centre cap across the street when you’re done.
Great video and idea 👍 I'm replacing my front hub bearings on my Honda Pilot and this will work perfectly so I can loosen my axle nut before I take my tire off.
Update: it did not work for my caps, but I didnt need the caps anymore so I punched a hole in the middle of them with a flathead screwdriver and ripped them out. Saved me having to remove the wheels.
Dope trick! I wonder if this will work on my 2011 911 turbo wheels? I guess I'll find out. They don't possess the holes in them to access them for removal purposes without removing the wheel. Thanks again.
great idea. HOWEVER, there is a risk with wheel center caps that have a retaining ring breaking the prongs. removing the wheel, then removing the ring then removing the cap will avoid any damage. thankfully, wheel caps with retaining rings can be installed without removing the wheel!!!
@@acauto7886 I doubt I can get suction on the Benz star. But maybe three smaller ones between the star rays... Or I'll have to try the duct tape method I found after seeing your vid.
Is it better to buy the actual center caps or center cap emblem over the current wheel cap? I’m so confused I got STR rims on my bmw and I got the 4 bmw emblem caps over the actual wheel cap but eh I feel like it’s better to just remove the whole cap and just buy the bmw cap and use a suction cup. Luckily I only spent $25 on the emblems. Do you think it’s better to remove the actual calentar cap instead of the emblems? Also would any suction cup work looking online for the right one
Personally in my opinion, if the center caps arent too expensive then i would just buy the center caps. And any suction cup will work. It just cant be too big. It had to fit exactly only the center cap.
3 years later and your video still helping people, including myself 👊

The crazy thing is THIS ACTUALLY WORKS! And it's just as easy as it looks in the video. Gotta admit, i was skeptical at first...
Awesome tip, saves a lot of time and effort and potentially scratching wheels. I also liked the suggestion to throw the centre cap across the street when you’re done.
Absolutely brilliant. Took a few tries to get suction but works!!!
Great vid bro! I thought center caps were held by screws. Thx! This helped a lot.
Thank you!! And yeah most center caps are held on this way👍
Absolutely brilliant my man. This saves so much time salute...
Excellent. Saving up for a GoPro.
Great video and idea 👍 I'm replacing my front hub bearings on my Honda Pilot and this will work perfectly so I can loosen my axle nut before I take my tire off.
Thank you! And yes it should work as long as you have a nice suction cup👍 best of luck with replacing the hub bearings
Working smarter, not harder! Thanks for the tip!
It worked so well with the suction I pulled the whole wheel off the rim Thank You
😂😂😂
Thank you so much, took me several tries to get them off but this method worked. Thank you very much, saved me a trip to discount tire
Genius! Hoping the center caps on my wife's Fiat 500 Abarth aren't too small. I'll be trying this tonight!!

This is awesome I just bought some for my esr sr07
No problem👍 you just need a good suction cup. And nice, they're gunna look nice.
that's very clever. I'll have to try it.
Update: it did not work for my caps, but I didnt need the caps anymore so I punched a hole in the middle of them with a flathead screwdriver and ripped them out. Saved me having to remove the wheels.
Awesome info! It saved me a lot of time.👍
Thanks alot for this video bro I was going to paint them but you totally saved me.where can I get that tool?
It's just my suction cup mount from my GoPro lol. You should be able to use any nice suction cup that isn't bigger than the center cap 👍
Dope trick! I wonder if this will work on my 2011 911 turbo wheels? I guess I'll find out. They don't possess the holes in them to access them for removal purposes without removing the wheel. Thanks again.
Best of luck, no problem👍
Oh yeah, buddy! Thanks 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

NO CENTER CAPS looks pretty dope!
Thanks for the vid! Helped a lot!
No problem!👍
Thank you, worked out well
It worked perfectly!
It worked on my factory raised letter center caps. I think it depends on the type of suction.
Genny gang reporting in. Also fellow New Yorker. Haha.
Ayee awesome, let's go!👍
great idea. HOWEVER, there is a risk with wheel center caps that have a retaining ring breaking the prongs. removing the wheel, then removing the ring then removing the cap will avoid any damage.

Thanks for the vid man this was really helpful👍👍👍
No problem!👍
What is it called to buy it online
Bruuuhhhh….worked perfectly! Thanks!
I love this guy lol 🤣 just subbed
Haha, thank you!!👍
Friggin Brilliant!
good shit my guy helped me out
Nice.. but what if the center caps are not flat?
You can try getting suction on them, but you may be stuck with having to take off your wheel unfortunately.
@@acauto7886 I doubt I can get suction on the Benz star. But maybe three smaller ones between the star rays... Or I'll have to try the duct tape method I found after seeing your vid.
Too bad this only works on the flat face center caps unlike the factory center caps that have raised lettering.. :/
Yes thats very true. This wouldn't have worked with my factory center caps.
So for the factory ones, is the only way to remove it is by removing the tire?
Latin Ace yeah either pry it out or remove the wheel im trying to replace mine but this method didnt work unfortunately:/
It worked perfectly thanks bro
Smart work 👍
im sure you get this a lot but you look like Ryan from the Office
Hahaha, actually no one has ever told me that before.
That car is like a monster truck you need a drop lol
Lol I know it was. It's on Air suspension now
Brilliant idea 👍🏼👍🏼thank you
No problem!👍

AC Auto I found a suction cup that’s roughly the same size as center caps on Amazon.. ahaha
genius!! Thank you for sharing!
But not works for caps with 3d logo on it and which are round caps!
worked instantly. i was trying these stupid tape methods.. meanwhile i think my suction cup will prob work... find this video.. then tried.
I bought those suction cups and I forgot that I have the Honda H on there. It doesn’t sit flat on there so I can’t use a suction cup…lol
you look like that dude from gta
😂
Wow!!!! Thank you!!!
Cool tip good idea.
I like the red looks dope.
Thank you. Yeah, me too👍
