Great tip, thank you. After doing the first one, the rest came off much quicker. Used string and an old credit card. Less than 5 minutes to do all 4. Tried the suction cup method others mentioned, but it didn't work with my caps, and this method worked great.
You are awesome. Thanks for making this video! I thought I will have to get it professionally installed because its a pain to remove all the 4 wheels of the car.
Easier to use a suction cup, like the ones on a cell phone holder that sticks to the windshield. Just be sure to clean the areas with rubbing alcohol first.
You can use any plastic tool that is not going to scratch the wheel to push the string in. This is just a vehicle trim removal tool from Harbor Freight.
Bro life up your car take off the lugs use the back of a screwdriver or a rubber hammers handle and pop it off in lest than two seconds and just put the lugs back on
I see, you mean take the wheels off to remove the caps from the inside. This is a shortcut so you don't need to do all of that excess work in your home garage.
There’s a much better way. If you have a camera mount with a suction like a Gopro, you can put the suction on, lock it down and pull. Literally, I can take all 4 of my HRE center caps before you’re done “flossing” one of yours.

Fishing braided line works too, its thin and strong and easy to get in.
Putting my holden caps on right now. Thanks for the vid
Just noticed this is an ss!nice!! I have a 15 phantom black love the car!
Nice, love these cars! This is my 3rd SS and 5th Holden.
U can also use suction cup

It's good to have options. This is another option if the cap is gripped on too tight or is not able to achieve good suction due to texture or hole.
Having the texture issue with the suction cup at the moment.
Good job, but I don’t have a little groove. Mine are totally surrounded without any indentation.
Thank you for this tip... Probably saved me from some scratches to the wheels
Glad it helped! It's nice to have different options.
What is that little tool and where did it come from?

@@Lukester0826 Great thank you!
I used a guitar pick and it worked just fine
Fishing line would probably work faster if you attempt this method. Strong and thin. Probably wouldn’t even need to push it in with a tool
It's worth a shot, let us know how it goes.
what chevy you drive looks nice wheels
Thanks. It's an SS. The performance sedan imported from Australia. 🇦🇺
Great! Thank you for this
This is very helpful, maybe just speeding up from :45 to 4:00 though.
Lay dowm duck tape in a cross pattern over the cap, then pull.
Does that actually work?
Might be easier with dental floss.
This is also how my wife gave birth to our second child.
Would this work for vw polo
Yes, it should work with any center cap as long as it has a small gap to fit the string through.
Bro life up your car take off the lugs use the back of a screwdriver or a rubber hammers handle and pop it off in lest than two seconds and just put the lugs back on
This is why we can't have nice things.
@@Lukester0826 I work at a rim shop and that's how it's done

@@G33_528_ and if you don’t work at a rim shop lol. Not everyone has that luxury.
@@dylanbasil4100 who cares where u work u can do it correctly at home with a jack...
Took twice as long as just taking the tire off...
you mean wheel dumbass?

The thing is not all center caps are flat.
Or from a cellphone or GPS windshield mount. Just clean the area with alcohol first.
what the hell is happening here? Removing the wheel and pushing the cap from the inside would be quicker and easier
dude way too hard. just use duct tape and some pliers
I tried that method and it didnt work on this cap.
Push visa card 🥴
REALLY. ALL THIS WORK TO CHANGE A CENTER CAP....UMMMMMMMMMMMMM
It beats jacking up the car and removing the wheel and it works without marring up the cap or wheel.
Drill a hole and use a metal hook. Your method takes too long time (and patience).
Wouldn't drilling a hole ruin the original cap?
