I went to a high school in the country and was the only guy that had shock white spiked hair and was into him and punk rock and industrial music. It was a crazy time! Long live Idol!

Just loved every minute of this interview. He has a great sense of humour and fun. My favourite song was always Rebel Yell and if I liked it turned out they became so popular after that song and I believe to this day and I still love that song it's an obsession. Billy had great energy very passionate about each song but the videos also had a lot to do with music in general becoming so popular. Television did a lot for the music industry. Molly Meldrum and countdown was fantastic. Billy idol rebel with a heart very confident and intelligent. 💛💛💛💛💛

Back then he thought Billy was just another punk kid in the UK with a band making noise so he didn't take him seriously, but in 87 it was a more respectful interview bc he knew BFI was the real deal!

Yep. he was only 31 or 32 and looked mid 20s. He looked hella young for a long time (I'd say the age didn't start catching up to him until the late 2000s) but still looks good for his age even now.
