Im from India Plz tell me you don't use any cmc or tylose powder while kneading the fondant?is cmc or tylose is not necessary in fondant while drapping the cake .
Hi. No, no cmc or tylose powder needed. It's actually worse if you use it, because the fondant hardens and that makes it ever harder to cover the cake. Cmc or tylose is recommended to add to fondant when you want to make figurines with it, so it's not to soft for modeling.
Yes, you can also use water, just be careful not to put too much of it on the fondant, so it doesn't get soft (and don't dilute the gel color too much) an then wait a little longer for it to dry. If you can't buy alcohol, maybe try alcohol that you buy in pharmacy for cleaning wounds. Just make sure you read the label - only alcohol diluted with clean water, no other chemicals so it's safe to use. Usually it's a high % of alcohol. All the alcohol will evaporate so you don't have to worry.
Hi Nazan. I don't make my fondant. I did make it years ago, and it was never the same as bought one, especially for 3D cakes where you need more time before it gets dry. The one that you buy has some additives to keep it moist and stretchy for a longer time. But for this technique almost any fondant could work:)
Colors for chocolate you mean? With fondant you can use almost any edible color. Gel, powder, oil soluble colors for chocolate... Airbrush colors contain a lot of water so I don't recommend using them for coloring the whole fondant (basic color), because it may change the consistency of the fondant... You could use airbrush colors for coloring the surface. But is would be better to do it with gel color so you can use less water. Hope this helps.
You can use water. It will take longer to dry. If you can't get vodka, you can buy alcohol in the pharmacy, the one for wounds (pure alcohol).. it has very high % of alcohol and will dry even faster.
Hi Esther. You need to burn the surface of the fondant. I can't think of any other tool to do that. Maybe if you have some other source of flame that you can control and direct on the surface.

Fantastic design! Thank you for sharing 💞 could I ask what brand of fondant do you use?
Thank you Wendy. I use different brands of fondant. But I find Saracino and Smartflex the best so far.

thank you so much
Can i use a hand dryer instead of that touch
Hand dryer will only heat and soften the paste, it won't bake-torch the surface.
Hvala Eva, super, alkohol 40% je v redu
Ja, čisto ok:)
Merci beaucoup c'est magnifique
Thank you for your comment:)
Do you mix the colour with alcohol.
Yes, the color you apply on the rolled out fondant, you mix with alcohol so it dries faster.
So nice thank you I’m from Morocco
Thank you Sanae, nice to hear from you:)
Merci ❤️❤️
Is there an alternative to the airbrush? Can something else be used?
Hi. No need to use airbrush, I used a brush. Coloring doesn't have to be perfect, because the pattern will be cracked.
@@SugarQueenEva thank you so much ❤️

Thank you for a great tutorial just one question please the purple colour is it diluted in vodka before painting it on? Thanks in advance
Yes:)
Hey please is it necessary for one to use the touch? Or is there an alternative in place of it?
