    2 Questions please: Do you prep the cake surface before adding the fondant (to make it stick to the cake) AND what about that gold that you used made you choose that over another edible gold? Thanks for sharing your talents with us!

    • @SugarGeekShow

      Only buttercream is necessary to make fondant stick to the cake. Just use whatever gold you like :)

    Hello, I would like to know what you apply after the flame and before the edible gold painting, I saw that you passed it to a small cup and applied it with the brush immediately applied the golden paint and that made the dough hard .

    I hear people say that they use different brands of fondant. The #1 brand that I hear used is the Carma Massa Ticcino fondant. But, that is ridiculously expensive for a home baker. The next one that I hear is good is Fondarific. Here you are using Renshaw, which I've seen a lot of bakers from the UK use. If Renshaw is your preference, could you tell me why? I'm trying to learn the better brands. Thanks!

    • @SugarGeekShow
      @SugarGeekShow  6 лет назад +2

      I use Renshaw USA because it tastes and acts just like my homemade LMF except I didn't have to make it. It's a good price too.
