A couple of you suggested that the squeak was coming from the hood latch. I cleaned and greased it, and it seems like that fixed it! Thank you!

I hope your channel grows astronomically. You deserve way more views for the quality you produce. What an amazingly immersive video! You encapsulated the sound so well that envisioning myself driving felt effortless. Amazing job.

The squeaking noise may come from the suspension. Try to stay OVER 3000 rpm on such roads. Nice video!

Strange! The squeak haunts me. Maybe one day I’ll find it.

Very nice video and awesome view. My miata makes the same squeaking sound, if you find out what the cause is let me know.

I figured out mine was coming from the hood latch, try applying some fuzzy tape to the round striker! You can test if it's the hood by jumping on the sill with the hood closed and then open, and see if it stops squeaking

This is an excellent idea, I will check the hood latch. Thank you!

Youre a unicorn, how many GPs are you using and where do you mount therm etc?! regards from switzerland!

Thanks! I used 3 GoPros for this one. Hero 11 on top of the windshield, Hero 5 Session on an extension arm on the side of the car, and a Hero 9 on my face using a mouth mount! That was pretty awkward but might be the best way to get a POV shot.

Someone may have posted this already, but that squeak could be the hood moving around due to a worn latch. There are a few solutions out there on the internet

This is a good theory, and you're the second person to mention it. Thanks for that, I'll look into it!

Awesome vid- these sound so great stock! I have a 91' with manual steering. Does yours have power steering? I always wondered about the difference in feel

Thanks! I agree, the designers & engineers at Mazda did a great job giving this car a great sound from the beginning. I do have power steering, and haven’t experienced a Miata with manual steering. It’s very nice though, it still feels very direct, and the amount of assist is pretty low, just enough to make things easy at slower speeds.

Would love to know a little bit about the microphones and recorder you've used for the audio here. Gret recording of both video and audio :)

Thanks, lucky for you I did a series on this! Starting from the most simple setup to more in-depth using a separate audio recorder. ruclips.net/p/PLJSzbxVFVHlFSokXh-dMVCDU8f3VNwTAQ&si=DIrrl7If85S-UU3K

Not a bad theory, those things can definitely cause noises. Usually it’s more of a rattle, but worth checking out 🧐
