Kiev is deceptively easy, gets a super easy decision to start rolling in development and tax, guy starts with genius so its easier to start eugenics and you are part of a huge dynasty so you'll get alot of renown
The real secret to Jarl Dyre is that he is completely setup to vassalize every Norse Aasatru character in the world within 3 decades. So you can form empire of the north sea in his lifetime. You do this by conquering more first, and take a province that borders Bjorn and Sigurd. All the sons of Ragnar are your uncles, so you can ally all of them and Jarl Basceg. Ally ivar and halfdan, help ivar take east seaxe, then conquer the county that sits in between jorvik and east seaxe. Now you need true ruler, and the moment Bjorn forms Sweden you subjugate him. Once you have Sweden, and true ruler, Ivar, Halfdan, Basceg, and Sigurd will all vassalize. You will become super powerful and have absolute Chad vassals. This strategy is super reliable and probably the most fun you can have with Dyre, you can reform Aasatru super early and pretty much dominate all of Europe as a viking tribe.
Regarding the Abbasid start, it's gonna change a lot in Legacy of Persia coming out in just two weeks, and probably get quite a bit harder due to the new struggle they'll introduce!
Björn is 100% the strongest in the north, even as a warlord. Diplomacy translate to prestige which is gold for MaA's for tribals, you need 1 county and you become king. Even the AI if left alone completely take over as björn (Swedish bias from pdx :P)
@@AmstrdamnIn real history palas were punching bags, since the death of Devpala, father of 867 pala ruler. Pratihara from north west beat them and took Magadh and parts of Gauda (west Bengal), cholas from south humiliated them and took Ganges water and made them tributaries. Kannadiga Senas finally threw them out and formed Sena Dynasty after 20 years of 1066 start date. But CK3 India lacks any flavour and the kingdom of Bengal has good geography and economic buildings hence Pala is an easy game.
Mali. Grab up all the gold mines and you'll be ridiculously rich. No worrying about money for the rest of the game. I love taking Haestein on a Varangian Adventure down there.
I started as rurik in my first campaign and almost formed Russia in one lifetime while having 0 clue what I was doing. Rage quit after rurik died and my realm got torn apart (idk how succession worked). Immediately went to larp as a Roman who survived in Sardinia and tried, horribly, to reform the Roman Empire.
I formed Rome as Byzantium, and my god did it feel boring... The only foreign invasion of note was the Mongols (whom I helped to try and get a Giga-Mongol Empire for a final showdown) There were, like, three usurper rebellions, which all ended in their death thanks to the fact that you have ticking war score, plus you can just use siege weapons + stable spam to go around their army and siege them down. (200 % Movement is fun). I sincerely wish that there were options to make the game HARDER, not like niche things, but say, "Ai Aggressiveness" could be a good start. However, there was one thing that made the run worth it; I Banged Genghis Khan as a 105 year old woman. (Beautiful Genius Herculean Fecund and Athletic). Now, *1066 Byzantium however...*
I want to give mentions to Pagan, Balaton and Makuria. Balaton you can easily Hybridize with the Avars to pick up some of their stuff (Rec of Talent, Horse Lords, Bellicose) and you can gamble to pick up good traits. You also start with all the counties in your realm held by you so you can increase opinion with the Avars and make your good courtiers better. Though they might not qualify if you go with Immediate Hungarian Migration rules. Pagan is great of you want to just build, 3 Holy Sites and a special Building in the Kingdom of Pagan which you can easily get. Makuria is the same way as Pagan; have a Holy site, a bunch of Floodplains and pretty good culture overall You have Access to Sahel Horsemen which are busted and Nile Archers who are Great, you can land Cushites to build their Holy Sites and get tax from them.
I started in Iasi in Bukovina, easily gained independence, created the kingdom of Moldovia and conquered pretty much everything around me with ease until my kingdom reached the baltic sea in the north, bordered east francia to the west, bordered the byzantine empire to the south and conquered khazaria in the east and it's surrounding smaller countries to their noth and south.
Wessex is also good because if you die as Aethelred you will play as Alfred, the singlehandedly best ruler in the entire game (apart from Temujin but he doesn't really count in my book as a normal ruler) with 20+ stats in everything. There's a reason why out of the many dozen kings of England, Wales, Ireland, Scotland, Britain and the United Kingdom only Alfred was called "The Great".
I’d actually disagree on Bjorn. All it takes is one county and you get Sweden and you have the diplo to make everyone your vassal without a fight. That and your prestige can easily get you huscarls and eveough levies go get an Uber powerful army of 3000+ men in about 5 years at most. I like to kinda larp as Sweden and conquer Finland while leaving the rest of the nordics to themselves so this works for me pretty easily since I can solo all of Finland with just my army most of the time.

I felt the same, till the ruler of khazaria somehow became a conqueror in my game...

I'd put Pala up there. Heaps of troops and good land for days. You can spam manor houses, become the richest man alive, then just conquer everything.
I just got the game last week and tried Pala last night. Your strat worked great!
Are there any threats or potential problems I need to look out for?
the fuck ia pala

Montaigu is great fun, the Varangian adventure by itself gives the game enough variety for me to play for 3 lifetimes

I see a crusades dlc in the future for sure
Love your videos bro. Keep up the good work

A few honorable mentions alfred dyre the stranger ivar bjorn rurik ghana egypyt also abbasid is not on list anymore cuz of dlc
Instead of Disinherit, just get Primogeniture mod.

Jorvik is very fum
This is the best character start rather than location start. If you are creating your own character, then this list is null and void.
Any start with any faction is easy.If somebody os giving a hard time just swich player and f... him up.Then go back to your realm and relax 😂.
