40k has the potential to make games on nearly all genres.
Action genre - Play as a Space Marine
Horror Genre - Play as a Guardsman
Action Adventure - Play as a rogues on another planet
Guardsman but fps
Rogue Trader is actually a great game
Really want a horror game based on the 40k universe. There's so much potential there. Tyranids, Chaos and Dark Eldar off the top of my head.
@@WebOnionbeing a spacemarine surf depending on the chapter would be worse than a guardsman… at lest there’s an end to the suffering…
Darktide is cool but u need friends to have fun ;/ solo is boring
Finally your own squad. As much as i like Ultra marine being an one man army, I would love to see the whole army fighting beside him.
Is this available on Ps5 bro
@@beastmotoz
For preorder yes.
He had 2 people with him in the first game too.
Who else they call “brotha” if they are alone
HELMET?
One of many reasons that I love Space Marine series (now that we can call it that) has always been that Space Marines FEEL like those in the lore. The one-man-army with reflexes and strength that puts even unstoppable xenos to shame. Most games in the WH40K genre makes Space Marine feel expendable, like they are some specialist division of Imperial Guards or something. So seeing Space Marines being represented as they are in the lore and in the books does them justice, and I wish more games like this will pop out in the future.
LOYALISTS ARE CRINGE.
Yep, Space Marine made me feel like an Astartes from the books. Quick and ridiculously lethal. Space Hulk Deathwing did a pretty good job, but the movement speed is slower because we play as a Terminator, and the Tactical Dreadnought Armour slows us down. You could play as a Librarian in that too. Recently we had Boltgun which is great. I cant think of any other action shooter games that you play as a Space Marine. Plenty of tactical, strategy & turn-based 40k games but they don't really scratch the same itch as a 3rd person or 1st person shooter.
Well... Tyranids are the number 1 threat to all the galaxy right now. So i hope we're going to feel that too.
@@willielast I don't feel like the game play fully encapsulates that. I'm hoping this is a doom eternal trailer situation where they've actually slowed things down so the casual viewer can imminently tell whats going on. It just feels like they should be a bit faster moving and more agile. It's also a bit weird how the fodder tyranid enemy in the first battle was able to flip a space marine on his back. The game looks like it has lots of promise I just hope they tweak some stuff
Well blame GW for that, on tabletop basic spacemarine is basically a 4 imperial guards in a trenchcoat.
7:45 i love how he blows a guardsman sky high lmao
Marines Malevolent Simulator
The sheer size and brutality and strength of a space marine is freaking awesome
The lore of how there created is even more insane
@JKane_88 how about the carcharadons?
@@urbanchaos399 how were they created?
@@shirogami4224 they go through a recruitment process on the hive worlds. Most recruits are young I’m guessing 16-18. Once this happens they go though a phase of augments secondary heart, ossmodula, biscopea, they get tons of these “augments” which are organs mostly that will help them fight. With this process they grow in size out of there armor there 7 and a half feet tall. In armor they look taller. All these organ/augments help them to fight the emperors enemies and survive in harsh conditions as well. These guys are like Spartans from halo but took some 100x worse treatments and training to be a Astartes. These guys are walking tanks without armor. Then with armor on is like seeing a literal Demi-god lvl being. There leaders are actually more massive in size. Also each chapter of the astartes have specific gene-seeds/augments for that chapter. One chapter literally can be like lycans and the other like vampires. That list goes on as well with specific augments/gene-seeds for chapters
Keep in mind Titus is more than a space marine he is a Primaris Space marine who undergo further mutation. Being taller and more powerful in many ways. All thanks to Papa Ultra Smurf returning. They in theory are superior than regular space marines but plenty of chapters of space marines reject or accept them into their ranks for various reasons fun to read up on.
Finally. I was getting tired of doing a melee Brotherhood of Steel build in Fallout games to try and roleplay a space marine
Now that I think about it. The Steel Brotherhood sounds like an Iron Hands chapter. I say that without a hint of irony.
@@mercenarygundam1487 you’re right. You might actually be on to something there.

@@Crispman_777you think doom started in 2016?😅😅😅
@@seamuss3203 No? What are you talking about?
the thing i love most about this is the fact that the battlefield FEELS alive, in alot of games you see armored vehicles and tanks just kind of sit there and do nothing and the battlements never fire, Here you see the AA Lascannons fire up into the sky and nail fliers or the Leman Russ tanks firing their assortment of guns. Taking a second to re-wind and watch the battlefield is amazing and really shows the care the devs have put into the game.
I really like it i just hope they make the space marine faster
i fear that it won't look like that in the actual end product. there will be lots of downgrading happening like it always did in any game
The swarms of Tyranids in the sky look really impressive too
Most likely, as happens in other games, this level is one of the first and is used for a "beautiful" demonstration of the game, and its details were worked on more carefully. If you played the First part of "Space Marine", you may know that there, too, the first levels showed battles in the background. But then the whole game turned out to be in corridors and uninteresting scenery, nothing else happened in the background, just you and a crowd of enemies in square halls.
To be honest it sounds cynical but I expect that from a game in 2024. That's kind of like the minimum attention to detail. But I agree with you looks like they understand the setting.
missed opportunity not having something strike the gigantic bell and make a BONG noise
Just dont do it 13 times
Despite wishing, Warhammer could have a game like Helldivers. But Helldivers could never be Warhammer, just look at it. The presences of the marine itself is so overwhelming alongside the iconic architecture.
You have to be elite members of the Guard
Helldivers would be the Astra Militarum, the normal human foot soldiers of the empire. It's really a different vibe when the Marines enter the picture.
"I wish popular game A could be like popular game B"
It already does, Darktide.
64-player games where you each play as an insignificant guardsman against untold thousands of enemies in massive battlefield-style missions against AI.
I better be able to toggle a helmet on.
Confirmed
Everyone with a helmet on in Warhammer dies, though.

@@gzuskreist1021 willy Widder kill that nidder
but they are extremely dangerous, consider that during the first tyrannical war, the entire first company of ultramarines, composed entirely of vets with centuries of experience, was eaten by the nids. even a cult geenstealer can be equally dangerous as they in many cases share weapons and claws that pierce through ceramite as if it were butter.
True. Don't know about faithful tho. Ultramarines don't worship the emperor since Guilliman really believed in the Reason Above All ideology of the Great Crusade, and specifically lost his shit at Lorgar for worshipping the emperor as a god. Black Templars worship the emperor tho
Feels waisted. Usually when invasion like this happening, there's a bunch of cultists and mutants fighting alongside Tyranids, while Tyranids killing everyone. That's the final stage of the invasion, not the only one. Despite bad models and animation "Warhammer 40,000: Angels of Death" is a more accurate representation of fights against Tyranids.
Even Space Hulk: Deathwing have more respect for Tyranids as a faction.
Anyone else get gears of war vibes?
Cover mechanics where?
@@theodorebear6714 I mean, it's the vibe, a world falling apart, swarms of enemies, bad ass executions, guns that make a bloody mess, scenes that slow the character down. Space marines taking cover wouldn't make sense to me. It's just a feeling.

It's about time we have the second part of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine! The ending was such a cliffhanger.
This is the closest i'll get to a good gears of war game since 3.

@@kissmyathsma9816you mean the lasgun fire and the sparks from a chainsaw hitting bioengineered insanely tough armor ? definitely uneeded they need the prophetic mind that you carry cleaely.

@@kissmyathsma9816 yea that was kinda bothered me as well
@kissmyathsma9816 have you never seen high velocity sparks before? Same stuff happens on artillery impact lol fix your eyes
Honestly I'm so happy they made the space marine FEEL as big as he should be. His steps are weighty. His movements are believable with that armor. It doesn't just look right, it FEELS right. This has my hopes up...
In lore he would just be a blur all the time, running like usain bolt while doing all of that. as far as i know, only the astartes movie (and some astartes-alignes teasers) did them justice
dont forget that its power armor ,powered by a mini nuclear reactor in the backpack ,he should be faster then this ,but its a game and the majority of the players wont be able to react in time , so they set it up in this speed
space marines are just silver back gorillas on steroids with power armor and hundreds of years of combat experience , they can run at 90 km/h with full power armor
the first space marine game got everything right really. if this is just like that with better graphics it will be a good game.
@@evansabahnur3383 They still weren't moving like blurs at a constant rate in the Astartes series. That would be so freaking boring to watch or play, let's be honest here.
It's cooler to see the actual weight and power of the space marines than to see them move at literal superman/omni-man levels of speed.
@@evansabahnur3383I wouldn’t take books interpretation as completely true because different authors interpret thing differently
Just hoping the takedown animations don’t get stale. Seems there are only a handful.
What's the point of the yellow effects when slashing with the chainsaw? I think it would look much better if you'd remove that.
Too much flashing lights during combat, green, blue, red, yellow, teal, doesnt really feel very thematic / immersive.
this is supposed to be a gearslike game
absolutely agree! Also the reverse hold on the sword
It's because of the eviscerator sword he is using.
I never realized how much the COGs from Gear of War were probably influenced by Warhammers Space Marines. The visuals and the gameplay here remind me much of the good days of GoW just without the cover fire system. Hype.

I hope the multiplayer is kind of like Star Wars Battlefront 2 where there’s a few classes for normal Space Marines and then reinforcements that you can play as by accumulating points or some other way of playing as them. But for normal Space Marine Classes there could be an Intercessor/Assault Intercessor, a Heavy Intercessor, an Apothecary, a Chaplain, and an Eliminator/Suppressor or Infiltrator. And then for reinforcements you would have stuff like Terminators, Bladeguard Veterans, Sternguard Veterans, Dreadnaughts, and specialized stuff like that.
As much I would like that, they probably won't it will mostly likely be 3v3 or 6v6
You mean like deathwing?
Personally I’m glad it won’t.
I like how vibrant the colors are, between the tech, banners, and lanterns. What’s colorful should be vibrantly so, and what’s greyscale should serve to enhance the more colorful elements. It seems like they’ve found the balance here. I’m happy to see they haven’t washed out the colors like other games have. The palette here lends depth to the game world.

This game gives an incredible atmosphere, love it. But I also would like that the Space Marine groups are bigger, that you fight with a big squad or army 👌
I know we have Darktide but hear me out: playing as some of the Guardsmen or even in a LeMan Russ tank to support the Space Marines.
PC/CONSOLE would be clinging on to life trying to run that. Yeah I wish that too, as in the lore, a tryanid invasion is nothing but horrific. This game needs to make players feel that.

The tyrainds being this fast and aggressive is so lore Accurate it's scary
ultra realistic sliding down the stairs.... very good
It's very on-brand for Space Marines that, although they can sprint at like 70 miles an hour; they just walk nonchalantly everywhere while the world falls apart around them.
- It's Guardsmen who are dying; there is no rush.
I played the first space marine to get myself acquainted with what I'm getting myself into.
I bought Space Marine for Xbox 360 back in the day. Tried to play it but didn't get in the game mechanics because back in the day I was succumbed to Gears of War and Army of Two cover/shoot/cover gameplay style. Years pass and I try to play Space Marine time to time, but I don't get far in the game and just let it gather dust... Until eight years later, weekend arrives and I tried yet again play Space Marine. But this time it was different, something just clicked.. I played the game through in two days and was having an ABSOLUTE blast with it! The gameplay is unique but not anyway bad. If they further extend and balance melee/gunplay in Space Marine 2, it is going to be instant GOTY for me.
That game was legendary
Happy they are wearing the Gears of War gameplay influence on their sleeve. Looks like an amazing game.

This is great but one question can you turn off the flashy neon lights on enemies? You could give it some sort of "enemy weakened" overlay from the armour display or something.
I hope in this part it will be possible to finally put a helmet on Titus without using mods
The animation whether being attacked or hitting an enemy, doesn't feel like it has real contact. The camera seems to hide it by creating a stagger effect. But the thing is, whether the enemy is big or small, there's always a need for a unique stagger for each of them. For example, hitting a bigger enemy would result in smaller stagger animation for the enemy, while the smaller enemy would have a bigger stagger animation. Having the true animation not just a shaking camera is important for realism.
Yeah the stagger effect on every swing bothers me
I really hope the blood ravens get a cameo like they did in the original
That gore level
Doomslayer: finally a worthy opponent out battle will be legendary
So are there only gonna be Tyranids or are we gonna see other enemies as well?
