the hammerhead is 24 tons, not 180
and the lord of skulls at only 90 feels like he was on a diet lately
Yes, the Lord of Skulls should be 300 or more tons (around the weight of a baneblade).
Additionally a manta can house 4 hammerheads inside
Well I mean there all no match for arms forts or battltech tanks
@@zirconthecrystal1150
I don't believe the vehicles account for total weight capacity included, rather just the weight of said vehicle.
Or else we would have to start getting into the nit and gritty of even accounting for space marines (each one is close to half a ton! so 10 would be 5 tons, but if you were to account for them in terminator armour, each terminator marine weighs 1500 pounds, etc, not including weight of weapons which for astartes actually matter, heavy bolters with ammo and pack likely weighs I would assume around 100-200 lbs, I have no idea of the weight of a lascannon, but lascannons would weigh a bit.
A rhino could choose to bring 10 scouts, or 10 tactical armoured, 8 total devastator marines, increasing the weight by up to 10 tons, making it far "heavier" than the exorcist tank could match fully loaded, even though we full well know the exorcist tank is heavier.
Lord of skulls is a titan class demon engine... ya it should be at least the size of a warhound titan. If not bigger.
Quite a few of these tanks are out of scale - the Grot Tank should be much smaller than the Kill Krusha!
and no Kill Tank
And the korne Lord of skulls was way to small and the monolith is to big compared to the manta
And the ghost ark is longer than the rhino
AND 2:44 Leman Russ’s are not Space Marine weaponry.

Fantasy and W40k can't be the same universe because the reality and the warp where fused together during the End of Time and the beginning of the Age of Sigmar.
Sigmar can't be one of the two lost primarchs because of the short story "The Chamber at the End of Memory" by James Swallow (Part of the Scions of the Emperor Anthology) . Macador makes Dorn remember the two lost primarchs and Dorn conclude that the misfortune of the lost primarch could overshadow the Horus Heresy and he even thought
- "If they were here with us now… This war would already have been lost"

The scale is off on some of these. Remember that for every space marine vehicle, fully armored space marines are supposed to fit through every hatch. There is simply no possible way for the space marines you put next to, say, the Vindicator or Repulsor Executioner could fit through any of those hatches. It looks like you were using the miniatures to figure out the scale, which is a bad idea since they have never been scaled properly either.
Blame GW. Its exactly that way with some of the models.
@@psycrosdementia1737 I know, tat's why I mentioned that he shouldn't use the miniatures as a reference for scale, because they are way off.
The manta is way too small. Tabletop mantas irl themselves can store 6 tau devilfish models inside them as well as 40 fire warriors. Even as a mini they’re massive
Literally one of the heaviest 40k miniatures, it's not a tank but a literal carrier starship.
200 fire warriors
@@henrykkeszenowicz4664 probably closer to an aircraft carrier in weight and displacement. Definitely a few things on this list that do not make sense.
@@davidl2381 , no, Manta is way smaller than aircraft carriers.
Its weight is only 382 tonnes with the length of 32 m, wing span of 52 m and height of 8 m.
@@sciarpecyril@davidl2381 to be fair, GW is known to just spitball a number because it's all make believe anyway.
T'au and Eldar tech are never this heavy!

Wave Serpents weigh less than 10 tons.
@@MelchiahTheObscene, not less, just 10 tonnes.

Why the HELL it would weight 180 tons?
Super dense materials used for it's fancy tech maybe
@@flatheadgg2443 Weight is a hinderance, not an advantage. If they have advanced materials, their vehicles should be unusually light; moreso when they are skimmers.
Right! But then most of these irl would just sink into the mud and be unusable on most worlds.

Manta is NOT a tank! It's an airplane.
Same with the ravager,.it's more transport than tank
Hover vehicle has fitepower and armor of tank, by definition a tank
@@yugoslavia_operator128 This is not a hover, but an airplane. Hovers are also represented here and they are classified as tanks. An airplane cannot be classified as a tank.
Ita a flying tank
I think they classify anything that can kill a tank has one here pretty there are tank destroyers here
13 tons? Kill Krushas are super heavy tanks, like Baneblades.
Yep and 40 tons for a grot tank, makes perfect sense.
@@patrickdostie28 I had to look up something real for reference, a Panther is 45 tons XD
The numbers are so fucked up. Baneblade is 320 tons (Extremely light, since a Maus was 188 tons), but a Leviathan is 26.000, despite the fact the miniatures are about the same footprint.
@@widowpeak6142 , Baneblade isn't all that bigger than a Maus. Also, Imperial materials are typically lighter in comparison to modern analogues, more so when compared to WW2 era materials.
@@sciarpecyril It's longer, taller, and over twice as broad.
In fact, if we take the weight of both tanks and divide it by the rough volume (Height by width by lenght), we get the Baneblade is about 30% the density of the Maus.
That would make the Baneblade less dense than aluminum. Granted, this is some very coarse math I just did, but I think it is fair to assume the writers simply messed up.

A yes leman russ tank, my favourite space marine tank
Stc was discovered by the space wolves, hence why it's named after their primarch it's also used by them or at least it was in editions 3-5, so technically, it is/was a space marine tank
@@MrDekasOneThe Rhinos and Predators were also originally used by Guard And Space Marines alike, till GW decided it shall no longer be so.
It looked like the scale is a little off. The marines on this scale would need to be much smaller to fit inside a rhino, a landraider etc.
Manta and Ravager aren't tanks.
Theyre more like aircraft.
I was half expecting the zoom out to have all the other tanks sitting on a larger BOLO-like vehicle.
Slightly dissapointed. 😂
Yeah I was expecting to zoom out to another table with titans.
The Clans of Medusa, from whom the Iron Hands draw their recruits, live on what are basically mobile weapons platforms much larger than the Capitol Imperialis called a Landcrawler. Each Clan has one, and each Clan Company of the Iron Hands basically uses it as a mobile sort of Fortress Monastery.
If you want to go there, the planet Scintilla in the Calixis sector has a hive city built on top of a walking machine that roams the wastes - the Ambulon
Capitol Imperialis will be a fine addition to tier 7 in WoT blitz
In WoT a Capital Imperialis would cause so many rage quits. The thing has Void Shields that can tank an Orbital strike.
@@insanehippiehippieinsane3828 The devs would probably nerf it to hell. They did the same with the Vindicator.
You said that the Gladiator was a Valiant varient, but that should have a twin las talon instead of a twin heavy onslaught gatling cannon on the turret.
The leviathan makes me think of "welcome to my gazebo of destructive" and Capitol Imperialis is like Warhammer Forge World as a Mortal Engine lol
So glad you made a 40k one!!
Yay! Thank you!
Pretty sure the manta is a LOT bigger than that.
I'm also curious about how big the Abettoir would be on this scale? I don't think we ever got an actual size on that thing, nor have we ever got a mini for it.
What is the Abettior? Ive tried looking it up but found nothing. Do you mean the 'Arquitor'???
(Yeah the manta would be SO much bigger. Its wingspan is close to how tall a Warlord is (ini scale at least))
@@thedyingmeme6 It's an old theoretical Necron titan scale monolith. It was basically a giant flying pyramid, with dozens of spindly arms floating down from the bottom that could grab things in melee. It was said to have a C'tan resting inside of it.
This was pre-Matt Ward necron retcons, to give you an idea of how old it is.
Didn't expected you also have some interest with Warhammer
Its funny how these vides can help peopel visualize just how big in scope some things are described in these games and books etc.
You should see the fiction spaceship one really helps
Except when the proportions and weights are way off like this one.
Issue here is that these are based on tabletop minis that have the scale off the bigger the stuff gets. Take the Rhino that should be able to house Driver, optionally Gunner and squad of 10 Astartes this on top of an actual power source, armor plating, storage and drive mechanisms (track wheel suspension, etc), you can see the scale here being way off if you would consider any "irl" scaling.
The killkrusha is much, MUCH bigger that the first few tanks, its even bigger than a battlewagon, and the grot tanks are about 1/4 of a rhino.
love the alien driving the ghost ark.
Eagle eyes 😁

Each and every single units with the tank are such a good additions to the size understanding and the humor.
Shwarzy, Amara, Ezio, Rhydon…all pure joy to see. GG

Dude these visualizations are INCREDIBLE! I have to say though, the scale of the Grot tank and Hammerhead REALLY stand out as a mis-scale on GW's part

You've done great work on the renders my friend, but the specifications have been pulled out of your arse.
I'd like to mention, the Iron Hands on their homeworld of Medusa are divided into clans, and each clan travels around the world constantly on what's basically a giant castle on chain tracks and wheels.
Loved the video, but the Ordinatus weapon should be far larger I believe.

The mega gargant file you used is the one I designed (with different belly turrets) , its the old version there is an updated one cults3d called Mega Gargantuan for 6mm - 8mm Wargames
Astraeus is that big!? Holy shit Cawl was really cooking
I get a question to all imperial of mankind. Why all the tank look like ww1 tank? I am a new fan of 40k. Sorry for bad in English.
Easier to associate with a futuristic human war force if their tanks look similar to old human tanks.
@@JamesRankin-uv8nu thanks man
@aimanafiq6754
What does the Imperium of Man and WW1 have in common?
Both beinf very grimdark and involving charging fortified positions.
Also, as for the riveted armor, imagine trying to make cast armor, or trying to weld materials that are supoosed to be able to withstand plasma.
Also supporting James' point above.
Another point could be that whole Imperium's war doctrine is build around WW1 logic, where only special Regiments like Tallarn's or Catachan's use more "modern" tactics.
Also the whole idea for Humanity in 40k is fusion of WW1 with Medieval Era, with bit of Catholicism and WW2 Germany to spice it up.
Another very important point to make is that 40k was created in 1987, so its vision of "futurism" and "Sci-Fi" already became part of our daily life, even beating it in some aspects.
Ofcourse "Dark Age Of Technology" could look like how *WE* imagine future to be like.
Final Point :
While original creators had many great designs, whey didn't ever standed next to an engineer in theyr whole lifes.
So for example comparing Leman Russ to M1 Abrams is futile, because Leman can exist only in rules of its parental universe.
There is an established aesthetic with WH40k, vehicles for the imperium look either gothic or WW2 in style. This reiterates the fallen primitive state the imperium is in through a visual language.
It also helps to show through our cultural memory when war was Al there was. How it traumatized our civilization. Lastly, the scale of production required to provide the weapons needed for a galactic level conflict that never ends means the designs need to be simple, reliable and mass produced in numbers that would boggle the mind to us today.
Place your mindset in world war setting. Make multi-planetary, add in the worship of the god emperor all while fighting aliens and worse and just know that the fight has been going on for 10 thousand years. You start to get why the designs are so simple and in numbers that are insane.
i love that he added the pokemon rhydon next to the rhino tank
Finally.
Liked the vid before I even watched.
Brilliant work! congrats! The scaling though is off. An SM is close to 8 feet tall, and a Rhino can carry 10 SM! with that scale most of of SM vehicles are off. Not to mention a Tau Manta can carry 48 FW's along with their drones and four Devil fish with passengers and 10 crisis battlesuits. Again brilliant work but the scales and weights are off...
Sugestion: Make a video like this for all the planes/fighters and bombers from WH40K.
I remember when the Leviathan and Imperialis were Squat vehicles. Squat were known for their huge "Fortress" like Tanks covered in tons of guns in the Epic 40,000/Titan Games.
Bt-5's are always where they shouldn't be : leviathan casually has a bt-5 turret on the top
I absolutely love it!
But you forgot the Land Speeder with 3.5 Ton
Which is not a tank...
Its funny how the Exorsist is only 2 tons heavier than a Rhino. And that The Vindicator is 2 tons lighter than A Predator.
Man this video could have been GI Joe vehicles.... A tank with a gun made of guns, that has guns and also SWORDS! I love it tho!!

Was that Henry cavill at the end in a space marine suit 😂? Am I the only one who saw that?
You should do AoS gods and monsters next!
Imperiuk tanks be like: "That last one was cool...... but can we make a bigger one?"
The terminator being this high next to a space marine tank broke the video for me. Space Marines are around 2,5-3,5 meters in hight and they can stand upright inside those tanks.
Very cool(though some of those weights are a little suspect, no offense). Anyways, maybe a C&C version next?
Exorcists are the MLRS of the Imperium, but exclusive for the Sisterhood.
Where is the Illum Zar?
The Illum Zar (Fire Prism) is an Eldar anti-gravity tank used as a main battle tank, tank destroyer and anti-aircraft tank.
"Deliverance" Bro what is doing a warhammer fantasy battle unit in a 40k vidéo ? There's no connections between the 2 bro.
The ravager, looks familiar... i think a certain space slug crime lord is going to want a word.
It would be cool if you did Crimson Skies and Battle Star Galactica.
Slight correction on the Gladiator. The model you showed does not in fact have a Twin-Linked Las-Talon, but rather Twin-Linked Gatling Cannons, making it a Gladiator Reaper, as opposed to a Gladiator Valiant. Several of the weight and size depictions are also off, some of them very much so. Interesting video nonetheless.

Saying that the Hammerhead is 180 tons is ludicrous, that thing always been lighter than Imperial vehicles.
The Ordinarus ( the ground platform designed to hold SPACESHIP grade weapons) always been one of not the biggest Imperial land unit.
In one of the book of the Horus Heresy ( i will edit the title once i find it back) the Dark Angels tried to secure one of these things and it was equiped with a Battlecruiser bombardement canon that made a mountain vanish when it fired at it. The canon alone could be in the thousands of tons on its own so spare me the 300tons platform holding it.
