the protagonist should have done their homework, they would know these things werent wendigos, and there is one simple clue; these things hunt in packs. wendigoes don't, we work alone. I am not worried about wording when making deals with supernatural creatures, as working out ways to trick them with the wording is one of my favorite passtimes.
Oh absolutely, when dealing with demons or the devil himself wording is Extremely Important. It can make or break any deal, and more often than not breaks the deals. And damn Jake is a smart one, she is able to do damn near anything and is pretty much always in control. What a bad situation to be in. Especially as she does this just for fun.
