"you'll be forced to start the stage all over again" This is only true in Mountain of Faith, Subterranean Animism and Undefined Fantastic Object, games 10 to 12. So saying "in Touhou" as in the entire series is incorrect, if you meant it that way.

for touhou too (keyboard you mean indeed the 4 arrow keys?) and if so did you do you change anything of the sensibility? because you can do such small movements even non focus (in touhou), and no matter how short i seem to press the arrow key, it looks like yukari moves a mile. Also do you happen to know if players like yasu gil and all those sick bastards use keyboard too, or they use joysticks?
