It's feels kinda weird seeing this video pop-up now, because I've been practicing/routing the 2nd loop these last couple of days. I'm going for a 2-ALL too! 31/08/2014 Edit: I got the 2-ALL!
Hey, Jaimers! I just wanted to drop by to say thank you for sharing this video up on RUclips! It really helped a lot with finding out what to do in DOJBL, in terms of setting up my route, strategies and all that good stuff. When I first started really working on DOJBL, I often studied your run to figure out what to do, survival-wise and all! Really, thank you for that! You're the biggest inspiration to me, as a Touhou Player, and you, along with the rest of #ijiyatsu, have showed us that, truly, Touhou is Harder, and that anything is possible as a Touhou Player! I am truly grateful to you for that! You've done a great service for us newer Touhou Players and have shown us what to do, and that's something we'll never forget! Whenever I hear about you having wrecked yet another game, I always get inspired, and think, "Man, that's what I want to be like one day, as a Touhou Player!" More Touhou Players really should be more like you, Jaimers! Now, thanks to you and a number of others, I, too, as of 29/01/2018, can now also say I have 2-ALL'd DOJBL! In-fact, I even have my own DOJBL 2-ALL video here as well! That video is in my channel, of course! =D
Am I the only one bothered by the fact that Hibachi himself, and even the secret collectibles are actually hornets, rather than bees, but everyone keeps calling them bees anyway? :D
I'm not sure if you already know this but not all the dolls have a crappy ending. If I remember correctly in Leinyan's ending, her love for the pilot was enough to reactivate herself, escape her captives, and reunite with him. It's petty heartwarming for arguably the darkest game in the series.
Resurrection is linked to Exy's ending, actually. After being seemingly put down and killed by Donpachi personnel, Exy somehow survived and became a parasitic virtual entity that travelled back in the past, madly obsessed with "re-doing things." Using more time travel, she transported materials vital to create an army to the date of a few years before the Blissful Death War (the events of Daioujou). She created the Element Daughters and embarked on a mission to destroy the installation responsible for starting the Blissful Death War: the original Donpachi Corps HQ from the time of Dodonpachi (1997). Godwin Longhener, the Colonel of the Donpachi Corps and ancestor of Schwarlitz Longhener, learned of their plans and decided to manipulate Exy and the Element Daughters into destroying civilization. Like Schwarlitz Longhener before him, Godwin Longhener was convinced of humanity's imperfection and looked to destroy and rebuild it in his idea of flawlessness. However, the Pilot destroyed the Element Daughters, and defeated Longhener in a battle against Hibachi. Unfortunately, the damage had been done. Longhener and Exy had already set in motion the events that would lead to the return of Hibachi in Daioujou, where a mechanized army would be set to attack Lunapolis. The Pilot only learns this after defeating Longhener, and seeing that a stable time loop has been created thanks to Exy's attempts to stop the Blissful Death War... as she accidentally _caused_ it by trying to stop it.
@@lancecurry7538 So that means that whatever happens in Resurection, even after beating Zatsuza (DFK Black Label's TTLB), you cannot stop the impending doom. At all. ....well shieeeeeeeeeeeeet. At least i got my own amusement learning that the Ketsui arrange of Resurection seemingly thrown the Tiger Schwarz duo into an even more hellish world than Evac Conflict-era. And the pilot seemingly dont care about the doom they have started and focusing about the Hi-VAC. XD
@@alexhndr | In the Arrange A version, you can. After the Pilot and Leinyan destroy the third Hibachi, Leinyan decides to make a backtrack to the cave where the second Hibachi was built (Remember? Final Stage of Daioujou?), and they discover Exy's AI trapped within the dormant supercomputer that rebuilt Hibachi. Leinyan dissuades Exy from her vengeful path against humanity, convincing her that what she's doing will only lead to more destruction. Exy listens to Leinyan and gives up her potentially murderous path. Therefore, the Blissful Death War is retconned from history. It is unknown what happens to Exy's AI, but my guess is that she either deleted herself to prevent the Daioujou War from ever happening, or Leinyan did it for her. The Pilot and Leinyan return to their timeline to discover the traitorous Colonel Longhener attempting to build a Ray'n army, only to be confronted by the Pilot and Leinyan. This implies that Longhener was finally brought to justice.
Watching world record runs, and high-scoring runs in general is really bad for you if you're trying to learn. Often times a more experienced player might take more risks with better execution in order to nab a particularly difficult chain, or set up their resources in such a way on purpose to make something easier without it being clear on how or why.
X P Some people like jaimers have the ability to remember exactly where the enemy’s come from so is able to play pre-emptively instead of reactionary ( like me) so the more he plays the easier it gets. I’m constantly just dodging like a scrub coz I can’t remember shit.
generally speaking i think most people play reactionarily save for specific areas such as bosses, mid bosses, and large enemies, which they memorize. Thats how I do it anyways.
Now that I got the 1-all and understand the game a bit better, this is a great watch. Ha yeah that chainbreak vs the fireball midboss on 2-5 was bullshit. It's the sort of thing that puts me off scoring in DDP!
As good as you are, Jaimers, I do hope you can eventually manage a clear without any chain breaks. You can actually fully chain Stage 2-3 if you use the normal shot on the last gunship before you hit the mid-boss, Kuura. No Hyper needed, unlike with Stage 1-3 where there's possibly no way to do so. Though I always wonder why no one uses the normal shot trick in the OG DOJ/White Label. I hope you return to DOJ BL one day, Jaimers. Maybe see you pass the 1 Billion mark! I believe you can do it!
Funny enough, most PS2 owners, myself included, can play the regular version of this game without the black label name for free with Open PS2 Loader. The only issue is that it would be only for most of the thick PS2s, and maybe one of the slim models, but none of the older thick or the newest slim from 16 years ago.
@@usernameRika if you select 1 round game, you don't need to worry about it since you will always face TLB once you make it through. for 2 rounds game? i dunno cuz 1 round is enough for me.....

I will never forgive RUclips for getting rid of annotations. All the wonderful commentary and tips that used to be on this video, all gone.
the annotations restored addon, well, restores them

Actually a friend of mine is bothered too about that fact

This one was the darkest?
I thought Daifukkatsu is the darkest Donpachi game..
@@alexhndr Yeah this is easily the darkest game in the series. Though I don't really know the story of Daifukkatsu.

Nice work man!
I like watching this level of play. The world record runs are basically too advanced to understand. One day I will beat the first loop...

I'll never get how people just...DO this. I've been playing for 6 years and still die at 1-3. :c

that was awesome :D
I feel like I lost a lot of motivation because I've been savestate practicing bosses with hypers at really bad points.
I do the first stage chain exactly the same but for some reason the first hyper just wont Show up. What am i doing wrong?
Wow nice!
Hmm, i have a question: what do you get when stacking hypers?
Increased hit rate, increased damage, increased hyper rank.
madness
donpachi
Tres bon!
Now do it with the Type-B Ship!
Though the Type-B ship has very wide shots, it has slow speed.
xanax simulator
i like boss explosion
To get to the Normal Loop, you gotta meet at least 1 of the requirements, while for the Ura Loop you need all of them, right?
This game only has one loop. Any requirement is fine.
What are the requirements for TLB?Are there any?
