At the time, she couldn't have had made me feel more welcome than she did with that cute flirtatious little phrase. It was a very fun and interesting evening. Once in a while that moment and greeting come flooding back. Often I feel a need to pass it along to someone because it brings me back to that moment. They immediately added a second show that also sold out in less than 15mins, if I recall correctly. The shows they captured on film from those 2 shows were absolutely ELECTRIC. The energy between the fans and band was incredible. I've never seen them play and sound that tight ever since. I've seen them a dozen times and they never disappoint, but they captured magic those 2 nights in Seattle in 1989. I don't suppose you would react to Creeping Death from Seattle 1989 for me, would you? If you haven't seen that performance, you won't be disappointed. If not, I understand. @@davemassie9888 well with Metallica I saw them in Manchester , when I first hear puppets I was blown away , I remember they actually started to play gigs in Birmingham uk 🇬🇧 and I’m pretty sure I read about them in the NME or something Akin to that .. I think music has always played apart in my life .. from my dad to now and my moms love of dance .. and sober is ad sober does ! To paraphrase that certain movie 🍿 I’ve always loved words and literature and movies .. sometimes going deep into academic books but then onto westerns pulp fiction to dickens .. but music has never been more than 5 minutes away from me no matter where I’ve been or with 😂😲 I’m just following my memories and emotions with this little channel if mine . I bought this after Mindcrime and it's more subdued but I still love it. The title track is great and a callback to Mindcrime, "Jet City Woman" is great, but I'm biased being from Seattle (Bellevue is a city across the lake, where I grew up - they're from Bellevue, too!) and "Silent Lucidity" is a gorgeous lullaby with an orchestra. Mindcrime will always be my favorite, probably my favorite metal album of all time, but Queensryche have an impressive catalog and career longevity that only the titans of their craft enjoy. 🔥🤘😠🤘🔥

Good, thoughtful, insightful reaction! I like that you didn't get hung up on the video. So many do. And you're very right. It was indicative of the times. I noticed it was slightly out of sync too. Annoying. Queensryche has been my favorite band (original lineup) for over three decades! They are fantastic live, and are amazing songwriters. They have quite a variety of songs in their catalog. Their 3rd full album "OPERATION: MINDCRIME" is a very highly regarded concept album telling a complicated story in flashback about corruption, exploitation, revolution, mind control, betrayal, social unrest, deception, love, murder, etc. It is best if you hear the songs in order as you will get the full meaning of the lyrics as the story unfolds. A MUST listen -- the more you listen to it the better it gets. It's part of my DNA now. I never get tired of their music! A few songs to get you started (I think you'll REALLY enjoy this band musically, vocally, and lyrically). 1. "TAKE HOLD OF THE FLAME" live in Tokyo 1984. From their first LP. They were green, but you'd hardly know it. Geoff''s VOCALS!! Tight band! 2. "ROADS TO MADNESS". Also from their first ablum. Epic 10" song. Intriguing lyrics. Think of the movie: "Flatliners". Also Geoff at his most expressive. He is a fearless singer! 3. "SPEAK" from Operation: Mindcrime" (O:MC). 4. "WALK IN THE SHADOWS" from their second album. It's about vampires, lots of energy. 5. "THE MISSION" from O:MC about denial and regret. There are more great ones on O:MC, but you should really hear them in order. And so many other great ones, it's just hard to pick. Geoff has an incredible voice! And had a 4-octave range in his prime. In the first two albums he sang predominantly in his higher register. In later albums he brought in more of his lower range. I've gone on WAY too long! There's just SO much to say about Queensryche! I hope you check them out further. You sound like you'd appreciate what they can do musically and lyrically. Good reaction! One of the things I really liked about the band was the beautiful balance of the heavy elements and the melodic. Chris and Michael (both lead guitars) usually incorporate twin guitar sections where they play together in tight harmony. And I LOVE that they write about interesting things, NOT girls, partying, and drugs. Geoff is responsible for the lion's share of the lyrics, along with guitarist Chris DeGarmo. Well, anyway, you'll see, or rather, hear for yourself.

I relate to it as a gay man and my own personal life’s journey in coming to terms and arriving at a comfourt zone. Others might correlate the meaning of the lyrics with their own life’s experience. Many will simply enjoy the blissful music and those glorious, soaring vocals. Geoff Tate had a remarkable range as a baritone. Keep well, mate

omgosh people here telling you to listen to take hold of the flame.. the song is only ok, he hits a high note a couple times but it is hardly the best of Queensryche . Try Revolution or Suite Sister Mary, better yet, do the whole concept album of Operation Mindcrime. The best album ever

Alan, is this bands timing not Phenomenal? The way they do the breaks and the drums and guitars hit at just exactly the right second. I've played in bands and this is extremely hard to achieve with 3 or 4 players.
My baby brother into'd myself to Queensrÿche... unfortunately after his death. My closer siblings clued me in that he was teaching himself to play "Silent Lucidity" on his 🎸guitar at his time of death in 1993, he was 18.

omgosh people here telling you to listen to take hold of the flame.. the song is only ok, he hits a high note a couple times but it is hardly the best of Queensryche . Try Revolution or Suite Sister Mary, better yet, do the whole concept album of Operation Mindcrime. The best album ever

Alan, is this bands timing not Phenomenal? The way they do the breaks and the drums and guitars hit at just exactly the right second. I've played in bands and this is extremely hard to achieve with 3 or 4 players.
They must have rehearsed for days and days and also individually talented , to achieve timing like they did 😎

My baby brother into'd myself to Queensrÿche... unfortunately after his death. My closer siblings clued me in that he was teaching himself to play "Silent Lucidity" on his 🎸guitar at his time of death in 1993, he was 18.
