Queensryche, at this stage in their carreer, were absolutely incredible... both in their writing, and in their live performances. One of those rare joining of talent from each and every one of the band members.
Mate - the song is part of a story - this is part of a wonderful concept album (operation mjndcrime). Lovely! Good to see another review from you! Keep well, matey
@@alan-reacts65 If that's the case, I'm subscribing now. I love that you show the videos, so all the new fans can see the story. And they're so good live!! So excited this album is coming back! Spreading the Disease is my absolute favorite! 🔥🤘😠🤘🔥
This is part of a story. You have to listen to the album Operation Mindcrime from start to finish. This is from Operation LIVEcrime album. It is much better than the original studio recording but they're both good. It's a timeless album.
@@mikeb2611 I know this was the Empire Tour. I’m referencing this song was from Operation Mind crime and they played the entire album at the 1991 Empire Tour.
Paul , they are so interesting that I will absolutely keep on learning , they have a large discography ( as you will obviously be aware ) so any track that I get asked personally to listen too , I tend to make it a 1st listen ( reaction) this is that occasion 😎👍
Their live performances in the 80s and early 90's were simply phenomenal 👏 not a single mistake in their complicated transitions. Very tight performance by each individual musician. Listen to more Live Queensryche to judge for yourself and enjoy the experience buddy 👍 😀 🔥
If you want to continue with their pure metal vein, two song from the first EP: "Queen of the Reich" and "Blinded". There's a very good live version of the second one (ruclips.net/video/2i8ru6KPUiw/видео.html) and the official music video of the first one represents its era.
Thank you , I’ve saved that link , I think I will just dive in head first , and go with recommendations at the same time . It’s a trip I’m looking forward too my friend 😎👍
You were pretty spot on with a lot you said. But because this is part of the album-length story of Operation: Mindcrime there's more to the lyrics that you will understand when you listen to the entire story. And yes, Queensryche can ROCK. and their live shows are the BEST I've ever seen!! You can find all the songs from O:M live because this whole show was filmed. Another great one from this live recording is "EYES OF A STRANGER'. It's the last song of the story/,album, but sSO good live, with a longer fantastic ending. I really like your enthusiasm and comments! Please do MORE!
Operation Mindcrime/Concept Album..listen from the beginning to end like a story, for anyone that has never heard of a concept album, it's a story from beginning to end , it's awesome
I’m going to go to that album , I love to react to a concept album and try to work out its messaging , I’m currently doing the same thing with a band The Warning,.
Marco that’s another bend I know very very little of WASP ! Should I and can you recommend a starting track , I like to start early if I can ? Early in the discography..

This is part of their concept album Operation Mindcrime. You should listen to the full album to get the entire story.
Lee , the QR guys have sent me every link for that album 😂😂😎👍 no escaping 😮👍😎😂
It's like Broadway or an Opera..but NOT.. it needs a name , we need more

I’ve been reacting to The Warnings concept album and I think I will do the same with Operation Mindcrime 😊😎👍

@@alan-reacts65 Mindcrime is up there with Pink Floyd’s - The Wall for icon status & one of the best concept albums ever. Full stop. 👍
It’s going to be a pleasure exploring it and at the same time sharing what I hear every time 😎👍

Great reaction ! Queensryche. Brilliant. Favorite album when I was in high school by far.
My buddy arranged the sale of that drum kit. Scott Rockenfeld flew down to L.A. to deliver and tune it.
Wtf ! That must have been a great day
The best way I can describe this song is INTENSE
Works for me 😎👍
Operation mindcrime is a brilliant album. I saw this tour (Empire) in ‘91, they were phenomenal.
Then you saw them at thier absolute best 😊😎👍
@@alan-reacts65 it was unreal. They were perfection!!
that would have been "Empire"

Like I'm sure others have said this is one song off of a concept album, you can't really understand the meaning without listening to the entire album.

Yay! I think you'll really love their music! And it's so satisfying for me to see reactions from people newly discovering them!
All I want is to give others the chance to see music they may not know ! And for me to hear new music and share my reaction 😊

This is one of the greatest anti-heroin songs ever written... Up there with "The Needle and the Damage Done" and "Sam Stone" for lyrical impact
Sam stone ? Tell me more please Shannon ?
@@alan-reacts65 A song by the late, great John Prine. Transcendently brilliant. Utterly devastating.
