I heard these guys once being played at a ragstock back in like 2004. I loved what I heard, it was the mix of so many awesome sounds and aesthetics. I had no idea who they were. I was so captivated by the wonderful music I asked the clerk if she knew who was playing on the playlist. Unfortunately she had no idea. I was very disappointed, when the song ended I tried to keep as much of it in my head as possible, 20 years later leaving just a faint whisper or memory. I would think of that music from time to time over the years and would feel sad that I would never get an answer to this eternal question. It was like a bad itch I could never scratch. Whilst cruising RUclips this morning I stumbled on this song and the light bulb illuminated in the deep storage unit of my mind. I finally have the answer!!! I cant express how awesome It feels to have that missing piece!
I love this. I am a recovering addict 11 years, and I can see Peter has got the yayo jaw going hard, especially if you watch full set, it gets worse as towards the last song. What's incredible to me, when I was coked out, I was frozen and could barely function...he masterfully nails this performance vocally and on the bass. I'm glad he got clean before his untimely death. 🙏
I’ve loved this song so much since I first heard it. To me, this is the exact level of obsession and self-doubt I experience every time I fall in love and I cry every time I listen. I literally want to find someone who will sing this to me as our first dance… but given my history of chronic depression and general mental instability I think I might just have to have it played at my funeral instead! To be clear, I’m not planning on that being any time soon - just think that’s more likely!
I miss TON so much. It was one of the few bands that got me excited in anticipation whenever they announced a new album was coming. My favorite album is October Rust, you listen to that with some good headphones, turn off the lights and man, that music takes you places.

For a single night I stopped in Brooklyn( NO SLEEP TILL BROOKLYN!) and partied at Duffs bar which was a bar Peter supposedly hanged out at. On the wall was a framed pair of Peter Steele's underwear lol. Whilst cruising RUclips this morning I stumbled on this song and the light bulb illuminated in the deep storage unit of my mind. I finally have the answer!!! I cant express how awesome It feels to have that missing piece!
One of my favorites. Mandatory to listen to in October.
His voice can't be outmatched.
It'll echo throughout the realms always.
I hope Peter knew how much of a lifeline his music is. Type O has saved me from doing something stupid on many occasions 💚
He is so incredible in this video...even though he is high af. Damn what a gorgeous beast he was...
Most underrated group of all time. My opinion
this is unreal. ive listened to this and cried my eyes out the last two days
green will never be the same, but the type will always bring me forward
I can’t believe how I forgot this band, I was listening them too much 20 years ago and now I discover again when I am 38, just amazing
You never forget an old friend.
Peter steel will always have a place in our hearts
Never forget!!!
Blast that stereo
I remember first listening to this song 20 years ago and being brought to tears. Such an amazing band, and this is still one of my favorite songs.
I was there. Back in 2007. Glad I saw them even though not knowing much about them back in the day. Never had the chance to see them again. :-/
I can't put in words how much I love Peter... Rest in peace my giant baby 💗
2:45 omg this part was PERFECT, so beautiful
Ты был великим человеком , ты навсегда в наших сердцах ! Брат !
I love that Johnny is just smiling the whole time
I miss TON so much. It was one of the few bands that got me excited in anticipation whenever they announced a new album was coming. My favorite album is October Rust, you listen to that with some good headphones, turn off the lights and man, that music takes you places.
I watch this so much, I love this interpretation.
Peter doesn't miss a note. This song is beautiful. Very talented drummer and the backup vocals from the guitar player are spot-on as well! Nice live performance guys!!
Kenny’s voice compliments Pete so well.
There is definitely a lot of post editing going on here.
Type O Negative made music that evokes strong feelings of nostalgia and mystique.
He's so fkn awesome. Good looks and intelligence. ❤❤❤
One of the only bands who actually sound like their albums when playing live! God only if Peet would have survived just imagine what could have been. 😢 RIP Peet you are missed but your music and your presence still live on! 🖤
RIP Peter Steele. So wish I'd gotten into this band sooner and saw them live. Now I never will. 😢
god. in the moment he sings "let me love you to death" and when they shows the whole crowd. his voice becames angelic at that moment. i feel so many emotions . that i wanna sit listen and cry.
Not too many bands soud live as in the the studio... This is TALENT... 😎🤟🖤
this is much better than studio
This is overdub. If you can find fan camera it doesn’t sound good.
@@gouki290who cares, sounds good
Having been around music all my life(I'm now 50) and vaguely knowing about Peter Steele I had never listened to anything by Type O Negative, but this performance from Wacken popped up in my recommendations. Absolutely wow. What a band and what an amazing performer and person Peter was. Their harder stuff isn't really me but I love the melodic stuff like this. What a song. Feels like it really speaks to me.
Dear future children: This is when music was music 🎶 .
He was and still is badass
Yes dude. The void his death left behind musically is just huge. RIP Peter. And thank you for all the sad healing your music gave me. Nothing ever came close.
pains me to see him so wrecked, he was such a nice guy who a troubled soul, the few times I met him we talked about his cats and my pet bobcat so humble and so chill
Two weeks ago I listened this song for the first time , now I can't stop listening to this amazing voice and this video makes Peter Steele unforgettable!! R.I.P.
What makes this all the more magical and powerful is it happened to be recorded at sundown. God, I miss this dude & band. 🤘
Type - O is the first band to make me cry on contact, first listen. There's absolutely zero chill on the emotional weight of this song.
Absolutely greatest hit of all time!!!
This was the first song I ever heard from type o negative.
I instantly loved the band and wish I had discovered them early enough to see them play.
Such an iconic voice paired with a truly one of a kind sound.
No auto tune. No editing. Nothing.
Just amazing fucking vocals.
The band is pretty amazing too. Very underrated band.
Was fortunate to see them live 3 times and hung out with Peter before and after the show 1993
R.I.P. 🙏
“Dad, why is my sister named Rose?”
“Well because your mother really loves roses.”
“Oh okay. Thanks, dad!”
“No problem, Type O Negative- Love You To Death (Live at Wacken)”
I drove from west Texas up to Maine which was my first time going to the east coast. For a single night I stopped in Brooklyn( NO SLEEP TILL BROOKLYN!) and partied at Duffs bar which was a bar Peter supposedly hanged out at. On the wall was a framed pair of Peter Steele's underwear lol. People from long island and New Jersey were there are were like let me get this straight, your here from Texas because of Type O Negative? Salute! They knew all about Carnivore and bought me drinks. Love You To Death is the best romantic song period, end of discussion!
Amazing talent, always talked to his fans anywhere he went. He was loved by many.we all miss him very much! I cry when i listen to him .was taken away from us too soon !! God nless you in heaven brother!
I heard his voice from beyond the grave and I obeyed!!! P.S. I Love You!!! The the double meaning of how I address him from beyond the grave and he answers me back when ever I contact him! P.S. for Peter Steele as I thank him for all his help! I will never lose this incredible connection!!!💚🖤💚🖤💚🖤💚🖤
