Roskilde 2011 is better, same with their live in the k pit show and pretty much everything on their workhorse chronicles dvd. This is a great performance tho
a drummer on vocals isn't enough for ya while he's playing live lol. Cmon man they groove. Some men don't want vocal coaches. I appreciate the raw blues in their metal its what makes them so fucking metal man

I started listening to Mastodon back in 2011 (can't believe that was 12 years ago) right before The Hunter came out which still remains one of my favourite albums of all time to this day. I saw them live back at Download 2013 and even so I don't think I've ever heard them sound better than this. They have truly become iconic, Troy is an absolute beast of a frontman, Bill is one of the tightest rhythm players of all time, Brent is an absolute wizard on lead guitar and Brann is one of the best metal drummers of all time.
Fantastic. Real old school banger. This is why metal will never die. Anyone who says that is a pop music star or a record executive that produces them. Radio is dead. Long live metal.
the guy on the synth should become a official member of Masterdon he plays a big part already, plays in allot of their shows and if he can give creative input - it might add to their songs!
