My god... The comments here disgust me. They are just phones, it's not the end of the world if someone switches platform.. And they are getting closer and closer everyday. This is coming from a guy who owns a HTC One M7.
Each to their own I guess. I used to own an iPhone but now own a HTC One m8, and will never return to Apple. Some of the points raised here are very valid, such as the HTC 4 megapixel camera being terrible for if you want to crop for a subject further away. But ultimately, Android's customisation, live widgets on the home screen, as well as other benefits such as being able to do more with it than I ever could with the iPhone make it an easy choice for me personally.
If the ultrapixel camera is an issue, HTC is releasing the HTC One Eye. At any rate, I'm confident that HTC will know how to remove the HTC logo (and the components behind it) by the time they release the M9.
Jose Nazario Yea they really need to sort that part out. When gaming it looks odd when the game doesn't support full screen immersive mode, and you not only have the HTC black bar on the right, but also the Home/Back soft button bar too- making the game image far too left-sided. The camera 4MP issue isn't a major problem- just when you want to crop you'll notice. Let's see what their next models will bring
I agree. I have a 2 year old Note 2 and love how the OS allows me to personalize the look and feel how i want it. I use the Next launcher and yes it can slow the device down a bit but not so much that it is a problem. For a personal device the iPhones offer very few options to personalize. Also Android give me far more functionality that is worth having. Even if it is just being able to use the folder file management for uploading and downloading stuff from my PC. I use the SPen lots to jot down short notes and the large screen means i can make the best use of widgets.
Yes have to agree with your comment.. The iPhone camera consistency and the touch I'd would be the only features I would take from the iPhone.. But like you say it's down to personal choice
Rolf Brandser Overpriced? You don't just pay for hardware. You pay for hardware, labour, advertising, engineering, shipping, packaging, electricity, factory costs, wages and so on so forth. Also, Apple have to make a profit on each device. So no, they're not overpriced. Just premium.
james campbell Apple "has" to make profit, yes. But they are way too greedy. And iPhones are not premium in any way compared to the m8. So just Fuck off.
Rolf Brandser Sorry for the late reply. But seriously? I prove a point and you tell me to "just fuck off".... So mature of you! Aren't you suppose to be an adult? Or couldn't you think of anything else to say?
After having iPhone 4s and iPad mini 2, I think I'm going back to android. I've had enough of paying $7,000 just to FEEL RESTRICTED with your phone. I can't handle it anymore. Not even flexible WITH SETTINGS. You can't even multitask without having your apps to restart. This is just my opinion though, so piss off butthurt fanboys
***** Seriously? Who ever make a decision just watching one video on youtube, have so many issues. This is like a conversation, every body has an opinion, that's it! If you want to buy something, make sure you watching at least 10 videos and searching well on the Web.
SahijApple93 Prove to me that am wrong, prove to me that Apple is suitable for Heavy/Advanced users who need to do many things all at same time and to load/use a lot of different types of files and tools. :)
The user experience can easier on an Android phone if you want it to be, the range of usability of android adapts to you not you to it, it can be as easy as iOS or more advanced like a PC, some (me) would be extremely limited with iOS.
Most people aren't getting that the iPhone 6 is a really great phone. The main difference between this and most other flagships is the OS, and both of them are pretty good! Even though Apple didn't bring anything really new to the table, that's what makes it a great phone. It's biggest gimmick is TouchID and that thing as a godsend on the 5S, as it will be on the 6! It is all personal opinion to switch now, which evens the playing field.
Golden Boy I did not say that he said that, but the fact is that the M8 is better in almost every way. On paper and in use. The ONLY thing that it does not kill the iPhone in is the camera. Facts. Doesn't mean he can not like the iPhone better. That just means that he chose the weaker device. If he is fine with that, all I am saying is that he sounds like every iPhone user. They have tons of options that are better, but they chose the iPhone because of marketing. It is his choice for sure. This is my comment on his choice.
Aki79 The fact is it's your opinion. In daily use, the single core scoring is higher on iPhone than most Androids. That's why it has such a reputation of being smooth. Because it is. My phone right now is Lumia with WP, but I've handled all three operating systems a lot, and by a very small margin, iOS is still the smoothest, and still has the best app store .
This guy made some valid points and this was a quality comparison review of the two phones but there was one major detail he missed. The price difference between the two devices. A silver 16GB iphone 6 cost around $550 US while a gold (more expensive color) 32GB M8 cost around $180 US. This may not be a big deal to some most consumers want to get the biggest bang for there buck.
How insane is it that this is such a recent comment and the iPhone 6 has come down that little in price? I'm waiting for the One 3D (with not BS cameras)
Kenny Lopez yea not enough games utilise Android's full screen immersive mode, hiding the Home/Back buttons. And with the thick black border on the right side of the phone (in landscape mode) as well as the Home/Back button bar, the screen is far too left-sided
I find that android phones with close to double every spec of the iPhone 6 stutter a lot more in regular use, switching between applications and when playing games. I went to an iPhone 6 from a note 3 and the note was not a slouch when it came to specs but I find the iPhone 6 beats it in almost every way. It's not all about specs.
@Jaime Rivera as much as I love pocketnow and watching your videos, you switched back ONLY because of the screen size, that was always your gripe and you've always been just about the biggest iPhone advocate at pocketnow.
Smoothness or "more animations" are the stupidest reason to change devices. Specially when you're giving away functionality, the camera is a good enough reason though. Jaime is just an apple fanboy though.
My family upgraded not that long ago. Before we upgraded, we all had iPhones. At first I was happy with my iPhone 5c, which was when I hated Android. After having my iPhone for a while, I was starting to realize what I was missing out on. Now that we've upgraded, I've got an HTC One M8, yet my family all got iPhone 6's. Coming from someone who has had an iPhone, android tablets, and now an Android phone, Androids are way better :) This is my opinion. Now, you iSheep, unleash your rage :)
Agreed. I was a hardcore iSheep for years, I switched to Android and I'll never look back. It's got more features, better design, and easy on the pocket.
helloman107 Not trolling. I didn't even think I sounded like I was trolling. Just happy about the fact so many people think iPhones are better, but they aren't. So it makes me laugh. Trust me, I'm not trolling. If I were going to troll, I would do it in a different way.
About 3 months ago I got pissed cuz I could not see something on my iphone 5. So I went and bought Samsung S5, buggy software I took it back. Got the LG3 and same thing buggy software. Note: I put the phones in developer mode turned off all GUI still buggy, I rooted the phones still buggy... Must be an Android thing... I sold both phones and BEGGED Apple to take me back. Imagine if Android users could come out of their fog long enough to see Apple is NOT perfect but's more STABLE & RELIABLE...
I have android right now I have the note 3 and honestly yes it does glitch and freeze a bit and I've not really seen anything like it on iphone. Iphone I think is more reliable and Im thinking about switching :)
I could probably agree but the IPHONE 6 has 2012 technology and the PRICE is the main deal breaker....16GB - £539 non expandable memory! 64GB - £619 non expandable! 128GB - £699 non expandable! .....For the HTC one m8 it costs with "expandable" Up to 128gb memory... the 16gb costs£457. And the 32gb costs £529 with "expandable" So For me it's a no brainer... HTC m8 also has front facing speakers that makes nice and loud turn by turn navigation and hands free.. especially when using HTC's dedicated car cradle . Also there is the other factors... like free app's and open source. and it has more of 2014 technology for a lot less money .... The difference being ... taken the family away for the weekend. And not getting ripped off by everything else Apple sells.
TAMIL SEITHI There is no point in telling him... :( They will never understand that dual core 1.4 Ghz can be faster than OCTA CORE EXTREME 5.5 GHZ TUBO BOOST BITCH processor. He just likes the name and high numbers.
***** there's nothing wrong with they're technology. It's just as fast in this day and age even though it's only duel core. but it's just old. and they charge way to much for it.... And it's almost 2015.... in10weeks time actually. Just saying😣
One thing I don't get is that you always complain about phones having just a 720p resolution or just 1080p but if the iphone has it it's nothing to complain about...
I find the HTC fast and I really like the "mega" storage capacity. (128GB with a micro SD card) After doing some research, I`m considering holding on to the HTC for a little longer.
Stefan Svartling There is no best, it's what you prefer and what is best for the individual user. In this case the iPhone 6 was better for him. For others it will be the HTC One M8. Both great devices.
***** yep :) the iphone 6 has the best mobile camera in the world for example: iPhone 6 & iPhone 6 Plus Now Ranked The Worlds Best Mobile Phone Cameras
***** If you break it down into each function of the device you can say this phone takes better pics than this, this phone had a better display, this one had better sound / speakers. So break it down into features sure. But it's the combination of all the features a device has that provides the end user with the overall experience. And the overall experience and what you like vs what myself or someone else likes is vastly different and very individual. So on that note there is no "best" overall phone. There is only what is best for the individual user and for each user that will be different.
Great review really both the phone's are best in the business. Looks wise HTC is better ( doesn't have big antenna plastic lines all over and camera does not protrudes though HTC logo can be removed) performance would be same as both are fast. call quality is better on M8 as has better noise cancellation then iphone 6 callers can hear the background noise and also speaker calls are much better on m8 and also the battery life don't forget the extra power saving mode saves your battery excellently. Overall first time apple is struggling to outperform a 6 month old phone imagine what will happen with HTC m9 if they bring better camera.
I'm an M7 owner debating between what I'll get next. I love a good Apple product as well but somehow this video sold me to the M8 even more. Definitely all about preference here and I think I prefer the look, feel and user interface of the M8. And I just feel like there are much more useful features with Androids nowadays. Only thing I really miss is the good ole dependability of an iPhone (Not as much glitching, freezing, security faults...well, scratch that last one)
+WOLF LΔMBERT hmm yeah didn't really consider that seeing as though my phone's in pretty rough condition right now so it may not make it that long.. Lol but maybe I could stick it on out
Brandon Hopp what about the cam? i heard its good only for web pics but i like to develop my pics and from what i heard the HTC pics aren't good for that
I get that iOS is so easy children can do it, but its really boring. I prefer the customization that Android phones have. iPhones have become more like toys for kids than actual phones nowadays...
i really do love how people fight over Android and apple. here's my scoop 1.neither is better it depends on what you want to deal with 2. do you like to customise? Get android 3. do you like something simple but does the job well and efficient? apple 4. do you like to download third party apps? get android 5. do you want something that has small apps and files that needs little to no power to work well. apple android is good for those who love to customise. those who want to be free. but also freedom is never free you can pay for it one way or another. yes android has better specs but u kinda need that if you can download third party apps you have no control over the size of the download. apple has control but its better for the customer. you dont have to go to the internet for downloads its all on the app store. files are small so it doesnt need 3gb of ram one will do. it has a professional look and is appealing to the eye and the app store is better. i like either or. it all depends on what i feel is best at the time of my upgrade. we all want phones and pay our own bills. play nice and enjoy YOUR PHONE. not somebody elses.
Why do people HAVE to make everything competitive? Jesus Christ, the man said BOTH phones were a good buy, but had a preference to one, he never said HTC One was better than the iPhone(his examples with WiFi and LTE, Camera, and Simplicity he mentioned on the 6), nevertheless he gave both phones props and used the phone HE was happy with. Why can't you idiots do the same without bashing other peoples opinions? I love my iPhone 6, but can understand if someone loves their android, be happy with what you have without trying to cut someone down for a fucking phone.
This should be a conversation we are having, not a war. I would never have thought someone rooting for a cell phone would make them a 'butthurt isheep fanboy" Dear lord. If the appearance/brand of the iPhone wins someone over then so be it. Respect an individuals right to make their own decisions, at least they're spending their own money, right? I prefer the iPhone 6 to the HTC because I have little hands! I'd be interested in hearing what a horrible person that makes me.
Anyone who switches from an android to iOS never actually used android to it's fullest extant. I don't say this as a hater or fanboy but merely from an observational point of view. It's a 100% fact that android's OS is a far more feature rich, capable, and customizable than iOS. I personally root, flash mods, and custom roms on all my android devices and have for years. Once I began to realise how powerful and feature rich android is I could never imagine going to an iOS product because you have to give up so much in the process. Android can literally do everything an iphone can, including looking like it (through custom launchers based on iOS's latest updated look), but there are literally hundreds of things iOS can't do that android can. I understand some people only want to make calls, send text, take pictures, and surf the web, which iOS does well...BUT, if you're a geek and like to use technology in all it's glory and have absolute freedom and control over your device...then the choice is easy.
I think you don't know the ios ecosystem well enough. I can tell you thousands of things that people can do on ios devices that u can't on android devices. Just go to apple website and explore all the examples of people using their ios devices on everyday life, either personally or professionally. I take my case. As a musician, u can do really less on android devices. Go in a music shop and ask for audio interfaces which can work with an android phone!!!! There is almost nothing for android. And ask for ios devices, you have so many choices ;-) I can use my ios devices on stage in so many ways. You can't even think of when you have an android phone. I use both systems because I like phones. So I'm not really biased. I just want to tell that you better learn a system before giving your point of view. You can visit any theaters, concerts halls, festivals, film making or any artistic events everywhere in the world you will probably see apple product most of the time. There is a kind of reliability in them that other devices don't have. When you are DJing or playing live on stage, you can not rely on a device which could give u problems at any time, or a device with a choppy behaviors like, often the cases of android phones. If you use both, like me, in your everyday life, then you really see the difference. Many doctors, dentists, architects, photographers, designers, stylists etc use apple devices because of ease of use and reliability. U don't necessarily need to be able to everything, but what u can do u should be able to do in an easy and good way. That's my 2 cents. Please, I like to share some points of view, not just opposing a system against another. No insults nor fanboyism needed. Just having fun using our devices. We should grow together sharing what we like and know :-)))PEACE
There are many problems in the world to solve. we don´t care of f… customization iPhone is the best simple phone on the planet. if you jailbreak it , it surpasses every android phones on the planet you can do everything. "forget about specs it blows everything away" Buy a MACINTOSH
+Huzaifa Javed Hey, no need to talk about all Americans, yes there are quite a few retards here but I happen to be quite intelligent. However I do prefer android so much more. The IPhone is like being in jail. No freedom, so much untapped potential. Plus it's just a piece of crap. I had a 5c to just magically stop working for absolutely no reason at all. It died right in my hand, and no android has ever done that. No phone should stop working for no reason. Android is definitely on top.
IPhone is no match to HTC M8.....Apple is lighter but this is the small version. The apple flag is the larger iPhone 6 which weighs 172 Grams vs HTC M8 160 Grams. This small version has no HD at 1334-by-750-pixel resolution 326 ppi density . The HTC M8 has 1080 x 1920 pixels, 5.0 inches (~441 ppi pixel density) which clearly do not show artifact on fast scenes. HTC M8 CPU Quad-core 2.3 GHz VS IPhone Dual-core 1.4 GHz Cyclone (ARM v8-based.....Apple iPhone 6 is no way near to compete against HTC M8. IPhone6 is like Pc running windows 98 at 1 GHz against HTC M8 being a Pc window 8.1 at 4GHz remember HTC has a quad core CPU and Apple has dual core. Thank you nice video, but an opinion and love for beta devices will not make do for the lack of performance Apple has here vs HTC M8. And more, try a video against LG flex vs IPhone 6 and LG flex will make apple remember the beta machine.
In your dreams. Amigo High bench marks are the result of a superior architecture in the design, memory, CPU speed, ram memory, . The only way your "perform better" and " " better benchmarks" ..post statement be a fact. It will happen, if the architecture in the components of the I phone are changed. 1.4Ghz is no match to 2.3Ghz in bench marks, unless you are living I a bizarre world. Furthermore, iPhone have a good bench mark on a single thread CPU, but the best iPhone in the market is dual core 2 threads Vs Samsung, LG flex, 4 core CPU 4 threads.....amigo, stone against nukes.....nobody is making single threads 1 core CPU's anymore. Single thread was the first IPhone.
First of all, Android is the OS which has nothing to do with in die CPU architecture on Samsung 5s Qualcomm MSM8974AC Snapdragon 801 Quad-core 2.5 GHz Krait 400 16/32 GB, 2 GB RAM microSD, up to 128 GB HTC M8 and LG flex...Qualcomm MSM8974AB Snapdragon 801 with HTC running Win 8.1 and Android OS, v4.4.2 (KitKat), upgradable to v5.0 (Lollipop) 16/32 GB, 2 GB RAM microSD, up to 128 GB You must be bias to the obvious Apple 6plus Dual-core 1.4 GHz Cyclone (ARM v8-based) 16/64/128 GB, 1 GB RAM No miicroSD slut Geekbench is Using the Samsung architecture on his not out IPhone yeat. Now, for a moment are you really going to take a PC running a CPU 1.4 Ghz dual core or a PC running a 4 core 2.3Ghz...!!!? Why do not you do your own bench mark on your PC instead of taking an article and conclude , the bench mark is such. I'm sure you own a computer You "64 bit to deliver good performance with only two cores. Adding the extra performance of iOS optimisations, iPhone is definitely superior " are just empty advertisement....all Samsung, HTC, LG flex run 64 bit architecture ...and guess what ......Your quoted statement would be right, if the Apple 6plus had the memory size to make use of the 64bit architecture........But look up and you will see who makes better use of the 64bit archtecture. IPhone 1Gig vs Samsung 2 Gigs and HTC M8 2Gigs. as for the "more transistors packed in a small chip and 64 bit to deliver good performance" The A7 is manufactured by Samsung on a high-κ metal gate (HKMG) 28 nm process[63] and the chip includes over 1 billion transistors on a die 102 mm2 in size.
In order for a 64bi to run instructions better, app, it requires more memory.....amigo. yes a an apple5 32bits an apple 6,plus at 64bit agree. But you still fail to understand that to make optimal use of 64 bit requires more memory. So, if a device is running CPU2.5Ghz 64bit 2Gigs of ram Vs device 1.4Ghz, 64bit 1gig of ram....and both have the same Samsung CPU......the first has a wide advantage... So until the AX8 build by TSMS is in the apple 8 then I will agree. As for the bench marks, use common sense and whatever knowledge you have to see the technical difference. In addition I did not name brand, I use the word device.....so that you could be more objective. Take for instance you have 5 gallon gas tank but only a 4 gallon of gas, here is where apple is not up to the 64bit memory requires more gas to fill the 5 gallon tank. Apple has not sufficient memory ram to make use of 64bit architecture. So please do not say none of snapdragons run 64. Qualcomm MSM8974AC Snapdragon 801 CPU Quad-core 2.5 GHz Krait 400 This is a 64 architecture supported by 2Gigs of Ram Check this site if you doubt. www.techspot.com/news/55777-qualcomm-launches-flagship-snapdragon-801-64-bit-snapdragon-610-615.html
apple does not make CPU's...amigo. th Apple5 and Apple 6,plus and a7 are and having build by Samsung, the 64 bit architecture belong to Samsung web.archive.org/web/20140803201521/www.chipworks.com/en/technical-competitive-analysis/resources/blog/inside-the-iphone-5s/
Why people are surprised? iPhone 6 is the best phone in 2014, seriously! The iPhone has a much smoother experience, a really good camera, a MUCH better fingerprint sensor (that means to you SAMSUNG), and the apps on the app store, there are much more quality apps on the app store than the play store. Browsing on facebook on any android flagship phone is REALLY laggy.
That new iPhone 6 still only jas 8MP, just barely hd screen, no real multi tasking, and it looks a lot like the latest iPods -but that's none of my business.
We still got Q4 of 2014. And the Moto X 2014 is by far the best Android experience ever so far and the most complete smartphone in my opinion. You could say Moto is the "Apple" of Android but obviously not the same. The Nexus 6 or Nexus X considering what Android L is bringing and the fact that both Moto and Google are making the new Nexus is a force that should not be underestimated. The resources of Google, and the tons of experience Motorola has had is seriously hard to beat.
I've never even had browsing problems with my nexus 7, much less my m8 I'm not sure what flagship you used but you definitely shouldn't have that Facebook problem
matthew clouser Because the ability to browse the web for more than 10 hours straight means horrible battery life. Oh, but what am I saying, It's obvious you're a technological illiterate.
After watching why he first switched and why he switched back I saw over 10 reasons he wanted the M8 and 2 reasons why he switched to the 6. Wonderful logic, pocketSheep.
I like your videos, great video without being too opinionated, in my house we find that my brother who owns an Iphone 6 always loses wifi signal and cellular signal and I with the HTC One M8 don't seem to have that problem, but then I guess it sometimes counts where you live, cheers and keep making great videos!
I said Camera at same time as you! I currently have the One M8 and while there are a lot of things to like about it, I find that the Camera just does not live up to what I need. As soon as I can jump (I'm on T-Mobile) then iPhone 6+ here I come!
Justin Heavenridge Yes, that is tempting and of course keeps me in the android world. I am torn because I really like Windows phone, Android, and possibly iOS but I have not played with it much yet.
Jeff Chapman well, it's been a while now since I was running Windows Phone but the first thing that comes to mind is that I miss Cortana! My digital life is largely duplicated on both Google and Microsoft spaces. Given that my main computer is now a Mac throws a monkey wrench into things where I must also consider the iPhone. It's hard to explain, but I am less happy with my HTC one M8 since getting Lollipop. If money was no object I would have all three platforms!
Jeff Chapman I had a Chromebook (Acer C710) but needed a development machine so sold it and got this Macbook Pro. Well, in truth, the Macbook Pro was a 50th birthday gift for which I am profoundly grateful! All of this brand loyalty takes on deeper meaning to me because I am trying to decide where to concentrate my development efforts.
New to the HTC m8... I think the iPhone 6 looks better than the HTC m8. So I bought the iPhone because that phone looks so damn good. I soon returned it because I just couldn't do simple things that I would on android. I think I might wait a couple more years to get an iPhone. But who knows where android or any other OS might be by then.
I hate how people just assume (These are usually only fanboys) that if they go to the diffrent OS they like it suck ass. It doesn't, both OS are amazing, Andriod Being customizable and needing a little more specs to function nicely as to give consumers better phones, while iPhone and iOS has its own ecosystem, lowered down specs but great smoothness and optimized, with a better app store. All in all it depends what suits your needs or what you like best. Either Android (Customizable OS and with better specs so it wont lag sometimes or really just for the people who want it) or the iPhone (Easy to understand OS with an amazing ecosystem between all the products and superior app store.) Please stop hating just because someone else thinks that the other one is better its just a smartphone.
I get what ur saying man, but even though iOS dont need monster specs they dont make use of dat shit. If apple specs were as good as samsungs the performance woukd be so damn good but NO. Instead we have a paper thin phone. Great job. also android is a lot nicer to use in my opinion, simplicity if you want to, so iOS main argument works for android as well. I get why people can like other things too but for me this isnt even a contest. RIP in piece.
Jaime, just a quick note about Wi-Fi on the two devices: I would expect the iPhone to hang onto Wi-Fi signal a bit better if both devices are set as out-of the box. The default setting for the M8 is "Minimize battery use when Wi-Fi is on", which intentionally reduces signal. In the advanced Wi-Fi settings, you can turn this off and get full strength Wi-Fi on the M8, and it makes a big difference.
Yea . that's the reason I left in the first place .. I like my emulator, Live wall papers and real widgets! Not to mention my Google keyboard.. Damm what am I doing ?? .......IR blaster ..fawk now I'm confused!
I'm getting HTC One M8 for work (and home) and you really didn't do a very good job convincing me that I made the wrong choice, in fact you seem to be pointing out how much better the HTC is (where it counts). Also I'm lucky that I have long fingers so I suspect the size of the phone won't be a big issue for me. Thanks!
who cares about who switches to which phone.. it's just a phone.. life has lot more and better things to offer.. I know I shouldn't be watching this video then
Welcome back to the iphone world!! Feels good doesn't it?!! I once was an android user and have made the iphone switch and never looking back! Can't wait to see what apple is going to come out with next!
If Apple had introduced Duo Camera world would & You would have taken in other way, it's always been what ever HTC does it's not good but Apple does same after a year it's Best example HTC HD2 3.5mm placement was criticized but not of Iphone 5
Thank you very much for this video. I am an Android fan, but not a brainwashed one, as in most of the comments feed. I still think I prefer the HTC because of the speakers, but this video was very informative. Now I feel much more secure in picking a phone.
Well put! I myself was a "Android" user for 5 years and now I'm on Apples iPhone 6 plus. For the same reason why you switched. And I don't regret anything.
I am considering the M8, currently owning a galaxy s3, but every android phone i have owned previously craps out after a year of use. Tons of lag, freezing and crashing, etc. None of my iphone using friends have ever had this problem. How is the M8 in terms of long-time use durability? Not physical but just functionality.
Same problem with me, I had an S3 and an iPhone 4s at the same time, my S3 is laggy as fuck and barely usable after 1 year of owner ship and the 4s still works perfectly to this day (Function Wise) I bought an iPhone 6 after that, but I can tell you, that without a cover, you are going to have a big problem, the phone is weak as fuck, the screen cracked in my pocket! Luckily I had apple care, so I fixed it.
K.M. Khalil your a complete ignorant fuck . i have 3 co workers still on the gs3 on 4.4.4 with 0 issues. dont complain becaus you have no brian on how to update and modify your device to work correctly
Richard Burt III First of all, there is no need for the insults, second of all, the average consumer does not know how to modify their device, they barely know how to update it, I my self, know how to do such things, but I'm not bothered to. Thirdly, I wasn't really hating on Android as a whole, mainly hating on Touch wiz because that's the only form of Android I have ever used. Overall, if you are a tech junky, you can have fun with both operating systems by either jail breaking or rooting your device, but if you're an average consumer, you're probably looking for something easy to use, so in my opinion iOS is the way to go. FYI, I do have a Galaxy Note 10.1 and have it to this day (I bought it with the S3) and use it on a daily basis, still works fine. So I'm not hating on anything, just sharing some personal experience.
As an android user, I didn't feel compelled to argue with him choosing the iPhone rather than the HTC One M8 because he did well to note that his choice was the result of not whether an apple device was better than an android device, as both have come a long way to the point in software whereby it just comes down to personal preference. He chose the more minimalist though more expensive phone but because its hardware suited his needs and wants more than the HTC and that comes down more to a subjective point rather than an objective one. At this point in time especially in the premium level, there really isn't a right or a wrong.
I don't know if it's because of the hundreds of fake iPhones which came out before the original one, or the new shape of the phone and those antenas, but the iPhone 6 looks so cheap to me.
Wow, as hard as it was for you to give the M8 the credit it deserves, your video clearly showed how bias you are. You asked that people repeat one of your reasons. Camera. Yet the pictures comparison you showed clearly was in favor towards the M8. Then you mention the iphone being shorter. How much shorter would it be if the iphone had a 5 inch screen and not a 4.7 inch screen. You only need to compare the iphone 6 plus to the G4 or the bigger screened Note5. The 6 plus is MASSIVE in comparison. The you said the iphone is lighter, lol. When I hear that statement I cringe, especially when it comes from a man. I for ONE, who appreciates quality love's the build of the M8. That extra weight screams superior build quality over any other phone on the market. Then you mentioned thinner, what does that have anything to do with? When then M8 is so much more comfortable in hand it's ridiculous. I guess even for you knowing how great "sense" is on HTC devices. You couldn't deny giving HTC at least that credit. By the way, my M8 gets far better signal than my wife's iphone 6 plus. My wife said she misses her M7 so much in comparison. Said she is not a fan at all and don't see what people like about the iphone. That's coming from a person who said all she cares about is having a bigger screen. She said all these phones are the same and doesn't understand why I get so worked up about them when they are first released. She gives the most pure opinion of anyone I know. HTC carries the most professional, and classy interface. From messages , contacts, calculator, clock, phone dialer, and on and on. Not to mention, how could I ever leave the creator of this design to jump on the wagon of a identity thief. That's exactly what Apple did, stole a piece of HTC'S identity.
When it comes to iPhone and Pocketnow this guy always says that the iPhone is the best it doesen't matter with what it is compared ! ^M does much much better reviews than this guy !!
If you notice, he was actually telling how much he missed his HTC One M8 and trying to comfort himself by saying "oh, I use it less and less, I use the keyboard more often than listen to the speakers, better selfie but not the primary camera, better screen resolution but you can't even tell....." all that through out his video clip, he's telling in what ways HTC M8 is better than iphone 6.
everyone had their own opinion. dont call them stupid just because they got a different opinion from you. for me i will choose iphone 6 cause it's does make my work become easier. htc one m8 is the best android device but android is not very suitable to use for work. if i want to play a game or watching movie mybe i will choose htc one m8. but i always working and iphone keep my job become easier. we do know that iphone have a lower spec, but people that obsessed with this spec didnt really know what is the function of it. i think we should respect jaime rivera opinion.
+Gan Metaru How does the s6 "suck" in all other aspects? its got the best display period, one of the best performance, a good fingerprint sensor etc. You sound like a butthurt apple fanboy.
I'm sorry, but you know literally nothing about hardware, or the afformentioned companies to make a logical and honest opinion on either device. The HTC One M8(M8s) are lightyears ahead of Apple in every aspect. Oh and I dont use either phone, I have them both however; (I'm a test engineer for an education company) but would only use the HTC, and flog the iPhone if I could, while I still could!
I'm not surprised that you switched back. The iPhone 6 is an amazing phone and this is coming from a current m8 user who's used the 6 thoroughly. The only drawback on the 6 for me would be the lack of front facing speakers and the simplistic os. On the m8, the drawbacks would have to be the heft and size of the phone and also the rear facing camera. That's it for me
I actually watched a little bit of the video and you seemed very hard pressed to actually find anything good about the iPhone, other than the size, which is more of a personal preference. I'm sorry but this video was so biased it made me laugh. Did Apple pay you? Lmao.
very fair comparison imo. solid facts from a non-fanboy i would always go for android over iOS, but people need to realize that both are so close these days that it ends up being a matter of personal taste and priorities
And you clearly don't know anything about the costs of high end phones other than the iPhone! and it's not about the price, it is about what phone suits the person more or which is the best, and the M8 is award winning phone in here.
umar nawaz khan You comment is ignorant and retarded. My dad has an iphone and my mum has an HTC and I have an HTC so think both you speak fucking ignorant fuck
You're not crazy for switching, it's just that one phone fits your preferences better, and that's cool. I have both (iPhone in my left front pocket, HTC One in my right), but my preferences are on the other side of the coin because of my work. For me, the low light camera, despite it's lower resolution, works better in (you guessed it) low light. The iPhone camera is leaps and bounds better in normal shots, but for photos of a poorly lit data rack, wiring behind a desk, snapshots of friends in dim restaurants, the Ultrapixel shots come out a little bit better. A real life situation was at a construction site where a fiber optic junction box was in the way of a new building foundation (network engineer is my primary job). Several people were there with a variety of Apple and Android phones, and the HTC was the only one that could get a good photo of the insides of the 3 foot deep box. That's not just my opinion; the architects asked me to send them my photos. So for technical stuff the HTC does a decent job, with the iPhone being better for most everything else. Of course, if I want real photos, I keep my Nikon in the car. Now, although audio is not important for some people, having the speakers pointed at the person next to you is just wrong, wrong, wrong. But, perhaps I'm just picky from also being an audio engineer. Despite the iPhone speaker volume being loud enough, having to awkwardly hold your right hand while gaming or watching a movie is annoying. When I watch a movie on the HTC, it pulls me in and I get immersed in the movie. When I watch the same movie on the iPhone, I'm constantly reminded that I'm watching a movie on a telephone. However, I am still in love with the way the 6's glass seems to flow over the edge, and I'm glad my wife doesn't see me fondling it ;)
you are such a hypocrite. if you can't tell the difference in the display but then you bring up the camera where you gave it to the M8 but as far megapixels you choose iphone which you can't tell the difference
hahahahahhahahaha did you just insult THE FOREHEAD!? HONEY!!! Theres a store called ikea and they sell mirrors... I know they are pretty expensive and you probably can't afford one, but just go look at one in the store, and maybe you'll finally see your own forehead!
OH MY GOD! what the heck is your problem!? Im 14 years old and you hating on me for My own opinion! Honey maybe you should go back to Korea where there is not freedom of speech, because in America the first amendment states that every citizen have a freedom of speech and expressing their opinion!
Just got the M8 and I love it. First time having an android but it was really easy to get used to and a smooth transition from an iPhone to an android overall. I think iPhones are great too and in the end it mostly comes down to personal preference more than anything. Gotta love those BoomSound speakers though.
I just got my Htc One M8 a few months before..and its really amazing. All of its features are great and I've hadn't had any problems with i yet.I dont think i'll ever think of switching my phone for a pretty long time! Coz this phone is great!.
To be honest this guy never left Apple both operating sytems are great. i went and tried an iphone 6 and it was the first time that i thought their product just felt cheap the iphone just feels to light and cheap and without a case within a week it will like you have given it to a pet to play catch with
I have used both phones. They are both spectacular phones. In the end I went with the iphone 6 because of it's refinement in both UI and exterior design. All in all it comes down to user preference. There is no better or worse between the two..
Don't understand why people are pissed about someone's opinion . I notice dude had a iMac,MacBook and talked of having a iPad . I myself like the HTC , but being I have Apple computers in my home , the iPhone works better with my day to day sharing info between my other devices, so I can totally understand why it works better for him . Don't understand the name calling and shit talking because of what he said works best FOR HIM ...
I have no idea how you felt that the iPhone was better in your hand. The curve and heft of the M8 makes it much easier to grip and hold than the flat and slippery back of the iPhone 6. Also I don't understand what you mean by optimizing iOS for bigger screens, since almost all the back buttons are at the top left of the screen which is very annoying when you have to reach up for it every time you want to go back. The iPhone still has a normal home button, which is much more fiddly to use in my opinion. I have normal sized hands and I still have to juggle the phone around in my hand to keep it from slipping when pressing the home button. Personally I have an LG G3 which I can use comfortably without shifting my grip, thanks to the curved back. Nowadays smartphones are more and more about the OS they run and with the introduction of Android 5.0, Apple is falling behind especially in the features and customization department. And besides, every iPhone will become laggy after two years because of Apples quest to slow down older iPhones with updates, so people upgrade to the newer phone. Sure an Android requires factory resets once a year to keep it running smoothly, but at least the user can do something to change the OS, like flashing another ROM. On iOS you're stuck with whatever Apple thought to be the best way to do things. I owned the iPhone 4S and 5 and was one of those Android hater iSheep. I thought Androids were laggy and made for nerds. That changed when I bought an LG G3. I felt Android had way more smart features and innovations than iOS. I mean, you can't even change the ringtone on the iPhone without iTunes. When using iOS I felt restricted in every way and held back by the absolute lack of customization on the iPhone. Both operating systems are great in their own ways, but if you want a real "smart"phone, go for Android, since it offers so much more than iOS. I have no problem seeing people using iPhone 6s on the street, but what really annoys me is when people assume that having an Apple logo on the back of the phone automatically makes the phone the absolute best phone in every single way.
I actually went from the 5s to the m8 and to the 6 as well and couldn't be happier to be back. M8 was good but the camera sucked and in my area messaging was HORRENDOUS and the signal strength on the m8 was really bad. Would take 3-4 tries to send a message for it to go through. Went back to my iPhone and it's nice to actually be able to get messages again.
I have the HTC M8 and the battery life is wonderful. Its never died on me once in the last 5 months ive owned it and i use it pretty heavily on most days
Good Choice, I've had both phone and appreciate both myself. The App experience is what pulled me back to the iPhone. Apps seem to function and look better on iOS overall.
Bad choice your new camera wont cover the speakers or the biggest screen, but then again you don't really play games or use the phones for anything ,you just switch to a new gadget every 6 months because its even if its not as good as the one you had.
The thing that I don't understand is why when an android phone with a 720p screen (motox2013, galaxy alpha) comes out you guys complain about the resolution but it's not a big deal on an iPhone
I recently just switched as well. HTC one m7 to ip6+. To be honest, I can't decide which I like better. The much better battery life or the outstanding boom sound speakers? Highly entertaining and customizable skin or clean and aesthetically pleasing interface? It's been 7 years since I used an apple product (never really missed it) but now I'm back I think I understand why people like iPhones so much. At least for my usage, the experience is definitely improved, from the stupidly fast Safari to a weirdly clearer and bigger screen, I think I did not make a mistake in switching camp this time. I'll be keeping my one as a back up and shall decide again when the lollipop update comes, but before then I'll be enjoying my newest gadget like a person should.
Welcome back... i also went android this year from an iphone 5 to a note 3 and now back to a iphone 6 plus... i hate the glitches and errors in android not to mention having to run an anti virus. .. i never had any problems with ios, it always worked.. i missed the simple reliability. I am a truck driver and i use my phone 18hrs a day in one way or another and i use up to 40gb in data a month
Now that is the review I have been waiting for! Thank you for just being honest. I know you went from 5S to One M8 and now back to iPhone but this review for me is superb. For weeks I have been eyeing up the One M8 as I am sick of Apple ripping me off for there phones. Android for the money are just unreally good as compared to iPhone's. However for me, you covered everything I want in either phone and I ended up getting the 6 too. Still, I can honestly say I could carry both of these around and not get bored after watching that review!
My god... The comments here disgust me. They are just phones, it's not the end of the world if someone switches platform.. And they are getting closer and closer everyday. This is coming from a guy who owns a HTC One M7.
these are mobile computers which we use every day. they are very important.
***** For business and stuff the case may be different.I prefer android for business.
Very true
Who cares if you don't like it gtfo
one m8 is super slow
Caesar Cornelius Yet, people keep buying the most gimmicky and slow bloatware phones: the Samsung Galaxy S series.
Yes have to agree with your comment.. The iPhone camera consistency and the touch I'd would be the only features I would take from the iPhone.. But like you say it's down to personal choice
BoomSound, IR blaster, Android vs overpriced locked down small device? Are you insane?
I'm not here to argue with anyone, just giving you the facts.
Rolf Brandser You haven't given any facts...
$7,000........................................
Chrischoy9 I live in Asia.....
iphone 4S wasn't that made 4 years ago? which android phones were at that time in the market? :'D
LOL XD The Samsung Galaxy S2 was out when the 4S was out.
Do you remember how fast the 4s was? With ios 5? I can remember galaxy s2 way slower.. Why do i have to tell you? Are you born in 2012?
It almost sounds as if he did this video to not get blacklisted by Apple.
Mario Sotelo He did. Apple sends reviewers scripts to read, or else they stop sending free goodies.
I knew it!
Why are people crying over a man's decision to change phones? Some of you guys really need a hobby.
***** Seriously? Who ever make a decision just watching one video on youtube, have so many issues. This is like a conversation, every body has an opinion, that's it! If you want to buy something, make sure you watching at least 10 videos and searching well on the Web.
You're not crazy, but switching back to iPhone proves that you're not an Advanced/Heavy user, at all.
Your comment though does prove you're an idiot.
.
SahijApple93 Prove to me that am wrong, prove to me that Apple is suitable for Heavy/Advanced users who need to do many things all at same time and to load/use a lot of different types of files and tools. :)
SahijApple93 you're*
-
TheGello Braca is on top if the table now, with 6 clean sheets :)
We're talking football/soccer on a tech video... weird lol
haha, good card. But barca also changed the manager and bought a lot of new players starting from the goalkeeper ending at offence.
Let's just stop talking about football/soccer, it's starting to creep me out
Uhhhh. What? So the M8 is the better phone, but you still chose the iPhone? Sounds just like a typical iPhone user.
Aki79 He never said the M8 is better. That's your opinion. Not his.
My phone right now is Lumia with WP, but I've handled all three operating systems a lot, and by a very small margin, iOS is still the smoothest, and still has the best app store
.
Golden Boy Yeah. Your probably right.
I don't know if this comment was supposed to be funny but it made me laugh !! Haha apple users will buy anything if its shiny and made by apple...
In my opinion, when it comes to gaming the HTC One M8 wins hands down over the iPhone 6. Those boom sound speakers really are immersive.
I would agree with you if it wasn't for the onscreen buttons on the m8.
Kenny Lopez I don't see why you would agree if it wasn't for the on screen buttons only. They disappear when you run a game
Kenny Lopez yea not enough games utilise Android's full screen immersive mode, hiding the Home/Back buttons. And with the thick black border on the right side of the phone (in landscape mode) as well as the Home/Back button bar, the screen is far too left-sided
Barry Ward thats why when i ll buy mine i will use pie control, you ge all the screen, it looks better and you navigate faster with one hand use
Abdullah Al-Marhuby they don't always disappear. only a few games use that mode
I disagree, iPhone still only has 1GB of Ram
doesn't hurt the user experience at all.
You pay for the user experience not the raw specs.
You are an engineer. You shouldn't just look at the specs on paper!!!!!!
strika52 It certainly does for a heavy-user, for a regular consumer it won't hurt no.
@Jaime Rivera as much as I love pocketnow and watching your videos, you switched back ONLY because of the screen size, that was always your gripe and you've always been just about the biggest iPhone advocate at pocketnow.
Camera ? Smoothness ??
abdul-wahab hawsawi Camera: Good point ! Smoothness: what do you mean ? Have you ever used teh M8 ?
***** iOS has more animations? wait what?!?
Smoothness or "more animations" are the stupidest reason to change devices. Specially when you're giving away functionality, the camera is a good enough reason though.
Jaime is just an apple fanboy though.
Haik0 The M8 is *far far far far far* from smooth for an ex-iPhone user. And I'm no iPhone user.
Have *you* ever used it?
My family upgraded not that long ago. Before we upgraded, we all had iPhones. At first I was happy with my iPhone 5c, which was when I hated Android. After having my iPhone for a while, I was starting to realize what I was missing out on. Now that we've upgraded, I've got an HTC One M8, yet my family all got iPhone 6's. Coming from someone who has had an iPhone, android tablets, and now an Android phone, Androids are way better :)
This is my opinion.
Now, you iSheep, unleash your rage :)
Agreed. I was a hardcore iSheep for years, I switched to Android and I'll never look back. It's got more features, better design, and easy on the pocket.
:) = Troll
Like really, you sound so classy and then...nope. Not mad, just saying.
helloman107 Not trolling. I didn't even think I sounded like I was trolling. Just happy about the fact so many people think iPhones are better, but they aren't. So it makes me laugh. Trust me, I'm not trolling. If I were going to troll, I would do it in a different way.
TRICKSHOT lol same here it's sad 2 c so many people w/ iPhones if u have an iPhone ur a tech newb
Ditto. But iOS isn't completely out of the picture for me. I really enjoyed jailbreaking my iPad.
Honestly, I just went from Apple to the M8 and I can honestly say I've never been happier. I don't think I'll ever go back.
Are you still an android user?
@@harryjames7117 holy throwback. I miss my m8, but yes. Still on Android and have no desire for an iPhone
@@dylanandersen9318 Glad to hear, mate
Have a Nexus 5 (for a year now), never had a single glitch... guess you got unlucky.
I think Samsung is just a hit dodgy I mean nexus is smooth I've not seen one glitch ever
I actually went and tried a note 4 and got it omg it's so smooth how did samsung do that to touchwiz wtf and they fixed battery life draining
Or maybe apple annoys aren't used to being able to so much customization and freedom so they think its just buggy.
And the 32gb costs £529 with "expandable"
So For me it's a no brainer...
You should watch speed test videos
TAMIL SEITHI There is no point in telling him... :( They will never understand that dual core 1.4 Ghz can be faster than OCTA CORE EXTREME 5.5 GHZ TUBO BOOST BITCH processor. He just likes the name and high numbers.
***** there's nothing wrong with they're technology. It's just as fast in this day and age even though it's only duel core. but it's just old. and they charge way to much for it.... And it's almost 2015.... in10weeks time actually. Just saying😣
m.techradar.com/news/phone-and-communications/mobile-phones/20-best-mobile-phones-in-the-world-today-645440
You are just one of those people that only care about the specs but yet lacks real world use in termed of performance
One thing I don't get is that you always complain about phones having just a 720p resolution or just 1080p but if the iphone has it it's nothing to complain about...
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS . very smart comment
***** Is it a tegra note? I have one.
I have the HTC 1M8 and am considering getting an iPhone 6. Thanks for the review.
Right with you. Way to buggy, even with custom roms.
Shaarawi32 Htc one m8 laggy? Buddy dat weed is not good for you, m8 is the smoothest android next to nexus 6
I find the HTC fast and I really like the "mega" storage capacity. (128GB with a micro SD card) After doing some research, I`m considering holding on to the HTC for a little longer.
Ron Rivet Yeah, just wait for the One M9. I personally can't stand iOS, but that's just my preference.
Don't do itttttt. I had an M8 and I went to a 6 and I regret it. JUST WAIT IT OUT. xD
Please ignore all the comments below. If you like Apple, buy the Apple, if you like Android buy the HTC; they're both good phones.
welcome back ;) The best phone on the market.
Stefan Svartling There is no best, it's what you prefer and what is best for the individual user. In this case the iPhone 6 was better for him. For others it will be the HTC One M8. Both great devices.
Adam Slobodian There is always a best in an area, in the arena, that what does make competing (and the existence of the word competition) sense!
Yes
exactly
Great review really both the phone's are best in the business. Looks wise HTC is better ( doesn't have big antenna plastic lines all over and camera does not protrudes though HTC logo can be removed) performance would be same as both are fast. call quality is better on M8 as has better noise cancellation then iphone 6 callers can hear the background noise and also speaker calls are much better on m8 and also the battery life don't forget the extra power saving mode saves your battery excellently. Overall first time apple is struggling to outperform a 6 month old phone imagine what will happen with HTC m9 if they bring better camera.
It is already happening this month, just google Htc One M8 Eye.
I've had the HTC One M8 since it was released and there have been zero glitches and no freezing at all so there's that. It's a great phone
Oh ok Brandon Hopp that's good to know
+WOLF LΔMBERT hmm yeah didn't really consider that seeing as though my phone's in pretty rough condition right now so it may not make it that long.. Lol but maybe I could stick it on out
Brandon Hopp
what about the cam? i heard its good only for web pics but i like to develop my pics and from what i heard the HTC pics aren't good for that
eliza gonzalez correct. not good for developing your pics
I get that iOS is so easy children can do it, but its really boring. I prefer the customization that Android phones have. iPhones have become more like toys for kids than actual phones nowadays...
Jake Vaughan Except i6 is smooth as fuck and handles whatever you throw at it with ease.
Golden Boy lol so does the m8
This is BY FAR the most objective Android v iOS/iPhone video I've seen in a long time! Good job!
i really do love how people fight over Android and apple. here's my scoop
1.neither is better it depends on what you want to deal with
2. do you like to customise? Get android
3. do you like something simple but does the job well and efficient? apple
4. do you like to download third party apps? get android
5. do you want something that has small apps and files that needs little to no power to work well. apple
android is good for those who love to customise. those who want to be free. but also freedom is never free you can pay for it one way or another. yes android has better specs but u kinda need that if you can download third party apps you have no control over the size of the download.
apple has control but its better for the customer. you dont have to go to the internet for downloads its all on the app store. files are small so it doesnt need 3gb of ram one will do. it has a professional look and is appealing to the eye and the app store is better.
i like either or. it all depends on what i feel is best at the time of my upgrade. we all want phones and pay our own bills. play nice and enjoy YOUR PHONE. not somebody elses.
And droids are cheaper.
There are many problems in the world to solve.
we don´t care of f… customization
iPhone is the best simple phone on the planet.
if you jailbreak it , it surpasses every android phones on the planet
you can do everything.
"forget about specs it blows everything away"
Buy a MACINTOSH
+Huzaifa Javed Hey, no need to talk about all Americans, yes there are quite a few retards here but I happen to be quite intelligent. However I do prefer android so much more. The IPhone is like being in jail. No freedom, so much untapped potential. Plus it's just a piece of crap. I had a 5c to just magically stop working for absolutely no reason at all. It died right in my hand, and no android has ever done that. No phone should stop working for no reason. Android is definitely on top.
99% of the people spouting abuse at apple haven't and won't ever use their device to it's fullest, it makes no difference to anything.
Miss good old days...
And more, try a video against LG flex vs IPhone 6 and LG flex will make apple remember the beta machine.
.-.
In your dreams. Amigo
High bench marks are the result of a superior architecture in the design, memory, CPU speed, ram memory, .
First of all, Android is the OS which has nothing to do with in die CPU architecture on Samsung 5s Qualcomm MSM8974AC Snapdragon 801
Quad-core 2.5 GHz Krait 400
16/32 GB, 2 GB RAM
microSD, up to 128 GB
HTC M8 and LG flex...Qualcomm MSM8974AB Snapdragon 801
with HTC running Win 8.1 and Android OS, v4.4.2 (KitKat), upgradable to v5.0 (Lollipop)
16/32 GB, 2 GB RAM
microSD, up to 128 GB
You must be bias to the obvious
Apple 6plus
Dual-core 1.4 GHz Cyclone (ARM v8-based)
16/64/128 GB, 1 GB RAM
No miicroSD slut
Geekbench is Using the Samsung architecture on his not out IPhone yeat. Now, for a moment are you really going to take a PC running a CPU 1.4 Ghz dual core or a PC running a 4 core 2.3Ghz...!!!?
Why do not you do your own bench mark on your PC instead of taking an article and conclude , the bench mark is such. I'm sure you own a computer
You "64 bit to deliver good performance with only two cores.
IPhone 1Gig vs Samsung 2 Gigs and HTC M8 2Gigs.
as for the
"more transistors packed in a small chip and 64 bit to deliver good performance"
The A7 is manufactured by Samsung on a high-κ metal gate (HKMG) 28 nm process[63] and the chip includes over 1 billion transistors on a die 102 mm2 in size.
Qualcomm MSM8974AC Snapdragon 801
CPU
Quad-core 2.5 GHz Krait 400
This is a 64 architecture supported by 2Gigs of Ram
Check this site if you doubt.

apple does not make CPU's...amigo. th Apple5 and Apple 6,plus and a7 are and having build by Samsung, the 64 bit architecture belong to Samsung

I've never even had browsing problems with my nexus 7, much less my m8 I'm not sure what flagship you used but you definitely shouldn't have that Facebook problem
you have clearly never used an android flagship.....
matthew clouser Because the ability to browse the web for more than 10 hours straight means horrible battery life.
The funny thing is, the Galaxy S6 is winning comparisons vs the 6+ these days if it's all about the camera.
The funny thing is, the Galaxy S6 is winning comparisons vs the 6+ these days if it's all about the camera.
Either Android (Customizable OS and with better specs so it wont lag sometimes or really just for the people who want it) or the iPhone (Easy to understand OS with an amazing ecosystem between all the products and superior app store.)
Please stop hating just because someone else thinks that the other one is better its just a smartphone.
+Lukas Kuipers I agree
ive seen many m8 reviews but this one has been the most helpful! non-biased, very detailed, fluent narration, thanks!
No matter how great a phone is, no matter how great the specs are, if it's not reliable in term of day to day usage, it fails.
...but it is?
Compare it to the Nexus 6's camera (;
Enjoy your switch back to iBoring 6 ! I also enjoyed hitting the unsubscribe button ;-)
Mad or nah?
Why are you crying man, you know apple is best
Lmao then who are you subscribed to? Just leave RUclips altogether then.

Great video! I'm also going back to apple ( iPhone 3Gs & iPhone 4 previous user) I hope I made the right choice with the IPhone 6+ . :)
Give me some news if your 6+ bends through normal use
I'm more afraid of getting bored of the UI ha ha .
jmartir384 Trust me you'll go back, but you'll not stay there for long. Specially after using Android
Yea . that's the reason I left in the first place .. I like my emulator, Live wall papers and real widgets! Not to mention my Google keyboard.. Damm what am I doing ?? .......IR blaster ..fawk now I'm confused!
jmartir384 yeah changing back doesn't seem like something for you.. haha
Why do people care about what phone this guy uses.... Like he's just a reviewer I don't really care what he personally has.
Thanks!
2:52 Lol it was funny how there was a picture of the iPhone 6 getting bent.
this needs to be bumped
The reason you switched is simple, you're an Apple fanboy.
who cares about who switches to which phone.. it's just a phone.. life has lot more and better things to offer.. I know I shouldn't be watching this video then
Welcome back to the iphone world!! Feels good doesn't it?!! I once was an android user and have made the iphone switch and never looking back! Can't wait to see what apple is going to come out with next!
I brought htc one M8 on 25.Dec.2015 because over the 2 year it is still the best with a gun metal smooth experience.
+Liyad Salem Mridu same here!

ATLEAST IT DOESN'T BEND
If Apple had introduced Duo Camera world would & You would have taken in other way, it's always been what ever HTC does it's not good but Apple does same after a year it's Best example HTC HD2 3.5mm placement was criticized but not of Iphone 5
These comments are really annoying. Just let people use a phone that they want. If they like iPhone more, fucking leave them be.
You failed me Jaime 😢
Best of iOS and best of Android. Love em both ;p
Same Thing like any android device
OK , android is for tech junkies or tech feels ..
Apple is for idiot user plain and simple
Android for tha win
+Beenthere Donethat it was already switched out for the Galaxy edge plus.
Good luck, I hope it'll not bend soon...
i thnk htc is the better one
When it comes to iPhone and Pocketnow this guy always says that the iPhone is the best it doesen't matter with what it is compared ! ^M does much much better reviews than this guy !!
Welcome back!!!! I love my iphone 6+ now waiting for my imac 5K :)
If you notice, he was actually telling how much he missed his HTC One M8 and trying to comfort himself by saying "oh, I use it less and less, I use the keyboard more often than listen to the speakers, better selfie but not the primary camera, better screen resolution but you can't even tell....." all that through out his video clip, he's telling in what ways HTC M8 is better than iphone 6.
everyone had their own opinion. dont call them stupid just because they got a different opinion from you. for me i will choose iphone 6 cause it's does make my work become easier. htc one m8 is the best android device but android is not very suitable to use for work. if i want to play a game or watching movie mybe i will choose htc one m8. but i always working and iphone keep my job become easier. we do know that iphone have a lower spec, but people that obsessed with this spec didnt really know what is the function of it. i think we should respect jaime rivera opinion.

the galaxy s6's camera shits on both of these phones
+Gan Metaru How does the s6 "suck" in all other aspects? its got the best display period, one of the best performance, a good fingerprint sensor etc. You sound like a butthurt apple fanboy.
+LimeHead Yoda Samsung copies
I'm sorry, but you know literally nothing about hardware, or the afformentioned companies to make a logical and honest opinion on either device.
The HTC One M8(M8s) are lightyears ahead of Apple in every aspect.
Oh and I dont use either phone, I have them both however; (I'm a test engineer for an education company) but would only use the HTC, and flog the iPhone if I could, while I still could!
Yeah the iPhone hardware sucks really, but the phone is still good because it's fully optimized.
It's a phone hardware doesn't matter that much, the iPhone can handle what the HTC can.
The thing that iPhone doesn't have but android do is real multitask, i've tried real multitask in iPad but it doesn't work, that sucks.
Great choice. Got the iPhone 6 Plus. It is less convenient to handle, but I love the display, and that is worth the compromise for me.
That's it for me
4:18 ... do you even drift?
iPhone for me too :)
And... why is Apple the dark side?
I perceive Android as the dark side as they're the ones that copied iOS :)
copied what exactly?
Just compare them...
not really answering my question but ok
Also compare the timing of the original releases
lol, I have yet to find an Android user who can debate this topic without wild, immature displays of aggression.
I actually watched a little bit of the video and you seemed very hard pressed to actually find anything good about the iPhone, other than the size, which is more of a personal preference. I'm sorry but this video was so biased it made me laugh. Did Apple pay you? Lmao.
Lol true,
***** Yeah he had no reason to switch back except his big hands lol supposedly. he made it sound like M8 had a problem. such an idiot.
very fair comparison imo.
solid facts from a non-fanboy
i would always go for android over iOS, but people need to realize that both are so close these days that it ends up being a matter of personal taste and priorities
I enjoyed the video, you manage to choose one side, yet make the review unbiased.
The comments on the other hand...
Ef
dat iphone6 damn sleek and thin.i wud go for htc if they can make their phone thinner
yeah! its thin but battery SUCKS!
i iphone 6 for rich people. and android for poor people.
And you clearly don't know anything about the costs of high end phones other than the iPhone! and it's not about the price, it is about what phone suits the person more or which is the best, and the M8 is award winning phone in here.
What?
umar nawaz khan You comment is ignorant and retarded. My dad has an iphone and my mum has an HTC and I have an HTC so think both you speak fucking ignorant fuck
Looool. Say that to my face. Chicken. Don't talk the talk if You can't walk the walk!
You keep swearing behind your computer but don't have guts or balls to say face to face. Go and play with your dolls and rubber hammer. Baby blue.
Wow, the fandroids are toxic.
Maybe because they don't have the money to buy an iPhone...
Sorry fandroids!
However, I am still in love with the way the 6's glass seems to flow over the edge, and I'm glad my wife doesn't see me fondling it ;)
This has to be, hands down, the most well spoken and visually the best done review I've seen to date from you. Job well done!
you are such a hypocrite. if you can't tell the difference in the display but then you bring up the camera where you gave it to the M8 but as far megapixels you choose iphone which you can't tell the difference
no, he said it sucked for the M8 because zoomed shots were noticeably worse.
I'm hardly ever going to use camera so other than that the m8 is better than ip6
EWWWW The HTC is UGLYYYY! The iPhone 6 is so much more sleek and is much easier to use. It is very user friendly.
hahahahahhahahaha did you just insult THE FOREHEAD!?
Honey maybe you should go back to Korea where there is not freedom of speech, because in America the first amendment states that every citizen have a freedom of speech and expressing their opinion!
what was racist about that sentence? And honey, if I'm ugly, then what are you?
at least i have friends, because you clearly don't. Thats why you spend your days hating on kids on RUclips
first of all, its 9:01 pm and I'm peacefully watching youtube videos and your interrupting me!
So having the home and back button at different end of phone is good handling for you?
Basically guys, just choose one that better suits your needs. Their both the best the companies offer.
Decent comparison..but how are the boomsound speakers relevant to call quality for the other party?
You said it all - haven't been able to "bond" with the HTC One M8, switching back to an iPhone too.
