Okay, I'm going just say it..................I believe I wrote the dialog for this video. EVERYTHING you said is how I feel about my iPad 6. I have the 10.9 Air that frankly, the only time I use is it when my Mini is charging. It's not comfortable. I had an earlier Mini before this that I gave to my sister, and she feels the same way, she loves it. It is, IMO, the epitome of perfection. I keep thinking I need the cover but 99% of the time, I use mine in portrait. For reading in bed, I am using a Kindle only because I used to fall asleep with my Mini and it would fall on my face as I dozed off (pardon the prep). Trust me, that hurts. Great job, Qasim. TU.🙂
@Laurie - Thank you so much I’m really glad you feel the same way! The mini is perfect for my needs and I really believe it can be a great iPad for 90% of us. Haha yes dropping it on your head is not fun! Thanks for watching I really appreciate it 🙏🏽😊.
True. I have kindle and it’s size is perfect. I also have iPad 9 with keyboard and trackpad. Not using it as a laptop to be honest due to iPadOS limitations. Next gen iPad mini will be mine for sure
Completely agree. I stubbornly stuck to the 11 inch Pro for years, thinking I needed the better screen. I hardly ever used it due to the size, and would occasionally pick it up and try to force myself to use it for a few days, but it never stuck. I finally traded it in for the mini and have been using it nonstop. Would love for it to have pro motion but it’s definitely not a dealbreaker.
@RedheadLG - Yup I’ve always nututally been inclined to holding an iPad and for that the mini just does so well. It’s comfortable, portable and performs really well. I have zero complaints.
I used to have a third gen iPad Pro and an iPad Air....after buying the iPad mini 6, I sold both of them. The iPad mini does everything I need an iPad for. I got the 256GB WiFi only version and find myself using this way more than my others. I love it. I recently started putting the back cover only case on it (Vaja has a great leather case) and a screen protector instead of the Apple folio smart cover and find it a lot handier to grab and use but still have screen and back protection.
I used to have an ipad mini and loved it. It became dated and constricted for later needs, so I sold it. listening to your comments, I could see myself again falling in love with the form factor. Especially considering what I would primarily use it for. Thank you for not overselling some particular product. Just the pure love of using the form factor.
@Greg Brecker - That’s what stood out most to me and made the overall experience so much better of using an iPad…it’s perfect and you should get one again 😊😎
I bought from day 1 the mini 6 256gb lte and never regretted it ! I love it for daily task ! Maybe I’m to much of a couponer but grocery shopping with the iPad in my hand is my favourite; I use an app like reebee that helps me see prices and sales from any store around me and helps me cut down on cost! Uses it has gps since I have the lte ( only lte has the gps tracking) when I’m abroad! Netflix/Disney for the occasional tv show in the car! Number colouring apps really gets the kids occupied when we wait somewhere! It replaced my kindle ; I can rearrange my collection so easily. I have a little nook in my kitchen that fits the mini if I want to follow recepies or side watch something. I have an arm in my car for the iPad to be my companion ; gps or any car app . It fits all my purses and it’s always there!
I too love the iPad mini 6, and my main “computer “ is now my M1 iPad Pro with external monitor functionality. I use the larger iPad to write longer emails or other documents, take care of accounting and other files for my business, and edit photos. I’m a personal trainer, and I take the mini with me to record reps and sets of my clients using OneNote. This syncs beautifully with my larger iPad where I finalize client sessions when I get back to my office. I happen to have an older Mac mini that I turn on from time to time just to keep the OS up to date, and it really feels like a dinosaur with an overly complex file system and antiquated OS in general. I find iPadOS much nimbler and capable on both my iPads. Thanks for your fine video. I really enjoyed it.
@Bob Taylor - That’s awesome bob! You definitely fall into the category of both use cases. I’d find it hard to replace my MacBook simply because of my workflow but I’m glad you’ve found a way to make iPad OS work for yoy.
A note on the Mini’s display, it has the P3 wide color gamut which covers the entire sRGB color range and also has some overlap with Adobe RGB color range. Adobe & sRGB are common color profiles for photo and video, so this does provide great color accuracy for editing both. I recently photographed a small wedding and edited the photos entirely on the iPad, I even tried connecting it to my ultrawide monitor but the colors looked completely blown out and saturated , so i went back editing directly on the iPad itself.
Thanks for not screaming and make a scandalous video like other reviewers, I agree a lot w everything you said and watched thw whole video without getting sore ears 😅 great job
@Veronica Dias - Thanks for the feedback I really appreciate it. I like to keep it calm and make sure I get my point across 😊. Thanks for watching I really appreciate it 🙏🏽.
May i ask which storage capacity did you get for the mini? 64 or 256gb? Im currently waiting for mine to arrive and i got the base 64gb one because its cheaper but im questioning how long its gonna last for drawing purposes?
@@cutehoney14 i have 64 gb one. But unfortuntely i trade it for 11 inch ipad air m2. Reason its kind of in convenint for me to write notes in the small screen for my interview purpose. But yes ipad mini 6 is best for drawing. I wish i should have kept it in parallel but needed money to buy the ipad air 11 m2. 🥲
You hit the nail on the head towards the end. I had an iPad Air 4 and found myself having to force myself to use it. I bought the Mini 6 a few weeks ago and I think I’ve already gotten more use out of it than I have with the Air over the last 2 years. It is a perfect device. Only con is the price in my opinion, but if you can look past that it is an ideal piece of hardware. Good video!
@Jordan Bell - I think the price is something that’ll pay for itself as time passes especially if you keep it long enough. It’s definitely a great tablet and I’m enjoying having an iPad I actually can take full use of.
I had a 10th gen iPad ruclips.net/user/postUgkxUGaHtKW8MwCql2fPyIm9-ftTqSMzKFFA . Felt it getting pretty slow at times even after doing a reset. So I am using that as a tablet for my 5 year old son and got this 9th gen version. MUCH faster, a little slimmer, smaller bezels, all around a leap forward. Plus, for the price that’s about $130-$150 cheaper than a current new model this is a nice deal. I look forward to the M-series CPUs coming into iPads which will really help future proof these tablets better but these latest CPUs are pretty strong and should do better to last several years with no compromises.
GREAT insightful review ! iPads are meant to be held CONVENIENTLY in the hand, and are meant to be portable ! I've had iPads since 2010, and been a "raving fan" of the iPad mini since its debut in 2012. The iPad mini 6 is a pure powerhouse ! Re: Keyboards - I have always used Apple's Bluetooth Wireless Keyboard from Day One, and both fit perfectly in one hand if you have to grab them and run into a meeting (...which I've done often over the past 10 years...) Create a Great Day ❗ Rich
Thanks for your input Rich! I definitely agree as the iPad mini 6 has become my favorite iPad of all time. Thanks for watching I really appreciate it 🙏🏽.
Completely agree with this vid. I've tried 11" and 12.9" iPad pro's as laptop replacements, and the limitations of iPadOS are so frustrating I've always returned them and gone back to Mac or Windows laptops to do "real" work. The mini is what an iPad should be.
100% agree. My iPad mini 6 is the ultimate entertainment, note taking, portable power house. If there’s an iPad mini 7 in 2024, I’m certainly getting it.
Very good video. I have had almost every size iPad imaginable. All the way back to the very first iPad. I got my first mini back in, I believe, 2013 and loved it but, after a while I wanted something bigger. Over the years I got different iPads and in all honesty never could settle on one. Over the last couple years I found myself wanting just one device to do everything on and at one time had the 12.9 inch Pro. I found that one to be too big for my liking. I downsized and thought I found my "never changing again" device with the 10.9 inch iPad. I had paired it with the ESR Magnetic Rebound Keyboard case that resembles the Magic Keyboard and thought I was in tech heaven lol. Well, I ran into road blocks when I decided I wanted to start vlogging. I found that the workflow to edit videos wasn't feasible for me on the iPad. Once I removed that equation, I found I really didn't even need that big of an iPad to just do content consumption. This has led me all the way back to the Mini. So far, I love it cause I'm not trying to make it something it's not. Right now, I'm using a Mini 4 but, I will soon be getting the Mini 6 or may hold off for the Mini 7. If you look at the mini for what it is, which is a tablet, it's a perfect complement to a MacBook/laptop. I know this was a long comment but that's just my thoughts.
@terrywarnold - I have also experimented and been back and forth between iPads before landing on the mini. Once you use this and realize this is all that an iPad needs to be you really can’t go back to anything else. For me it’s a bigger screen from my 13 mini and the perfect in between screen between that and my 14” MacBook pro. I’m glad the 4 is working well for you and hopefully you can upgrade soon. Thanks for the comment and watching I really appreciate it 🙏🏽.
Yessss! I freakin adore my iPad mini6. I take it with me everywhere in my pouch. When I’m home, I don’t touch my phone at all. I handle texts on the iPad and I use it to watch RUclips, for notes, read books, movies, etc. I got the 256gb. I have a ton of downloaded movies and shows. Most of all…it’s lightweight and fits in my hand. I only wish the next gen mini offers a 1TB variant.
Totally agree. I own a 12.9” iPad Pro. It sits on the shelf especially after my purchase of the MB Pro M3. I still need (read: want) an iPad for notes and RUclips videos but not as a MBP replacement. Great job…
@yellowboxster06 - Yeah the iPad mini is totally ideal for all in between tasks and so comfortable too. Really is my favorite iPad for sure. Thanks for watching I really appreciate it 🙏🏽.
After MANY attempts to get comfortable with larger iPads (including the new iPad Pro 11") I've realized the Mini 6 (with a Paperlike on it) is the ultimate iPad for how I would actually use an iPad. The form factor is perfect.
Excellent video. I have a MAC, iPad Pro and a iPad mini 6. The mini 6 gets the majority of use much as you describe. I bought it for travel and ended up using it on the daily.
Thank you so much for the feedback! It indeed was from the heart so I’m happy to hear you found the video helpful and I really appreciate you watching. 🙏🏽
I think it’s subjective on what your workflow is, but I have the 12.9" M2 iPad Pro and I use it a lot more than my 16" MacBook Pro, because it’s more than capable of handling my workflow. I edit 4K video, draw, take notes and produce music on my iPad Pro, and I need more real estate for what I do. The mini just wouldn’t be able to do what I use it for. For what you use it for it, makes more sense to have the mini and it is definitely way more comfortable in the hand
@Freddy Jason - Definitely true! For your use case scenario it’s perfect and for mine the mini fits perfectly. I really do hope that I can have a pro iPad in the future that fits my needs better.
I'm a senior techie in my 70s who still travels and sits in front of monitors to ward off Alzheimer from setting in. I plan to pair iPad Mini 6 with my M2 MacBook Air. It's nice to write once in a while using the Apple Pencil instead of typing in addition to doing some sketches now and then.
@Butch Go - That’s actually a great combo. The M2 MacBook Air is more than capable for the majority of people and the iPad mini 6 compliments it perfectly as an in between device.
Great Video! The iPad mini, is, as you stated a great in-between device. I use mine all the time when I don't want to use my MacBook but need a bigger screen than my iPhone. It is truly a versatile device.
@John Lee - It really is a perfect device. The iPad was always meant for basically being a larger iPhone and until it’s limitations are removed a non pro iPad is the way to go for me. Thanks for your feedback and for watching John!
Your voice is soothing and I feel relaxed now. Thank you! I love how calm and relaxed you are in your explanation of why you love this table. So many people expect so much from every single Apple device release. I get it ,you’re paying a good amount of money from these deb. But to hear someone focus mainly on the pros is making my thoughts quieter and now I feel relaxed so thank you!
@QUESTERPHER - Thank you so much for your kind words 🙏🏽. Every device has a purpose and if it aligns with your needs it’s exactly what you need. I’m really glad you enjoyed and I appreciate you watching 😊.
I would love to have an iPad mini, but couldn‘t give up my ipad air 5. It‘s just a part of my daily life already after only 6 weeks. These iPads really are devices you don‘t know you need until you‘ve had one for some time. But I definitely need the 11“ screen for sheet music in jazz sessions and as a backup for my poor memory when it comes to lyrics for those cover gigs I play. If I had infinite funds I would get a mini as well for sure, it‘s the perfect device for all my reading and note taking. maybe when apple finally delivers a new version of the mini and I can get a good deal for a used mini 6…
@marctestarossa - I’m really glad the air is working out for you. Everyone has different use case scenarios and as you specified the 11in size is the way to go. For me the mini was the perfect downgrade from the 2018 iPad Pro and I’m really happy with it. I do wish they updated the iPad mini but who knows what Apple is up to. Thanks for watching I really appreciate it 🙏🏽.
@@QasimZafar the pricing also is a huge issue. the ipad mini 6 at least at this point in time is just overpriced. in Germany the ipad mini 6 right now is 529 € while the ipad air 5 is 499 €. The ipad 10 right now is only 320 €.
i think that is why Apple still has the ipad mini. but, to the same extent, people complain there are not enough pro features on the mini. Apple puts out amazing devices yet it seems to never be enough to please everyone lol.
@James Sweeney - Different devices appeal to different sets of people. Pro devices will always have more features but you gotta go with what’s best for you. There are just some features the mini lineup will never get simply because it’s not a pro iPad and honestly for me that is totally fine.
Apple needs to put ProMotion (or at the very least locked 120Hz) on ALL its iPads, but especially the Air and Mini which are more expensive. 60Hz screens in 2023 is a joke; no other tablets in this price range have such slow screens. They can bump the Pros up to 165Hz or something. There are two different types of customers for the Mini, and neither of them currently get what they want. First customer just wants a basic iPad in the smaller size. They don't want to spend any more than the base model iPad, and don't need fancy features. The second customer wants a Mini Pro and is willing to pay for it. Apple really should sell two different Mini sized tablets.
@@Pushing_Pixels what exactly is needed for an iPad mini with pro features? Pro motion? For what? Their iPhone Pro models and iPad Pro models have it. They wont risk those sales. The mini does not sell enough units to warrant that. People who buy the iPad mini are exactly who wants a tablet of that size. You cant say “neither get what they want”, they get what they want but want more. Theres a difference.
@@Jimmyfly215 Of course people want the size, but there's two different types of people who want it. They have different wants and expectations, and one is willing to pay far more than the other, so no, it wouldn't be "risking sales", as a "pro" version would be expensive like the other Pros. As for ProMotion, it is not an advanced feature anymore, it has been around for years. Other brands all have high-refresh rate screens on all of their mid-tier+ products, it's standard now. Every iPad sporting a 60 Hz screen is behind the times, and it's a glaring weakness that iPads have relative to the competition. It's no longer justifiable to lock high refresh rates to only the very top models.
My iPad is my only computer. I can do websites, photographs, and video making. Plus doing a lot a social media. Now I’m thinking of getting a 12.9, but because of what you said I might just stick with the 11”!
@@QasimZafar Thanks! Yeah being my only computer I was thinking the 12.9, but if the 11” can do the same thing I’ll get it. Plus it takes up less space.
I love my iPad mini 6. Here’s a great keyboard case option on Amazon. HOU iPad Mini 6 (8.3-inch) Keyboard Case, Ultra Slim Wireless Keyboard Only 210g, Power Display, Magnetic Protective Cover Support iPad Mini 6th Generation 2021 - Black
I bought one and as cool and portable as it was I returned it because the 60hz screen felt very laggy, although the device itself wasn’t lagging at all, but it gave an overall impression of lagginess regardless of what I was doing, esp compared to my 13 pro max. I just couldn’t bear with it
@Karim Zedan - When you’re used to a device with a high refresh rate you’ll always experience that so I can understand. Your eyes can notice the difference and therefore makes it hard to adjust.
I can understand this since you’ve got a 13PM. I have a 13 mini and I think the iPad mini 6 is a great companion for it. I was previously using an iPad Air 4 so never had the chance to experience 120hz on a mobile device/tablet. Still, going from my monitor that is running 120hz+ I can sorta notice the refresh drop off when going to my tablet and phone. Maybe a mini 7 can get 90hz as a good compromise with the pro devices? One could hope..
This is the one thing holding me back from getting the Mini. I'm used to 144Hz on my desktop monitors, so I think I would probably notice it quite a bit. Other than that, I think it's perfect. Toying with getting the 11" Pro, just because it's the only one with 120Hz (in a practical size), but I'm not sure I'd use the extra performance and they're very expensive.
Great review, I do think we're moving out of the huge screen on phone/tablet era. Completely off topic, your voice is very calm & easy to listen, you'd be great at asmr 😊
@graeme4prez - Yeah I agree it’s nice to have devices that are more comfortable to use on a daily basis the screen on both the mini 6 and my 13 mini are sufficient enough to get the job done 😊. Haha thanks I appreciate the feedback 🙏🏽. Thanks for watching!
Bro I will never get a Wi-Fi only iPad ever again. I had the iPad mini 5 and it was horrible and I would constantly get kicked off my game. I traded it in for iPad mini 6. And I traded my 2018 iPad Pro 11 inch for the M1 iPad Pro 11 inch. Best decision I’ve made.
I have had the 11" 2018 model for a couple of years but i always find it somehow to be akward, its kind of too big to be a tablet but to small for a laptop replacement so in the end i gave it to my family. I just bought the mini few days ago and cant wait to get my hands on these little cutie..at first im was not very sure because 2024 is half through and there are many rumors about the mini 7 coming out "soon" but im still exited about my purchase 😇😇🥰🥰
@cutehoney14 - That’s awesome I’m sure you’re going to love it. I too thought a mini 7 would release but no mention of that in the recent Apple event. The mini is the perfect tablet size, comfortable to hold yet at the same time the screen size is reasonable to enjoy content or anything for that matter.
A lot of what you say resonates with me. I have a MacBook Pro 16" as a "desktop" and tried the 12.9" iPad Pro when it came out to see if it could be a "laptop substitute". Like you, I found that the limitations of iPad OS didn't really allow for this (although iPd OS IS slowly improving). The 12.9" iPad very quickly proved "too heavy to handle" and I switched down to an iPad Pro 11". I use this more, but still find myself thinking about downsizing to the Mini for the reasons you enumerate. It would also eliminate my need for my 10-year old Kindle which has done me proud and is (slightly) more portable than the iPad mini! Only thing is it acts solely as an eReader whereas the iPad mini obviously offers more. What keeps me waiting is whether Apple update the iPad Min in 2023, as it's about time they did. I'd like to see narrower bezels and maybe a faster processor, with 128GB memory as a starter point (although 256GB is enough. for my needs). Well done!
It’s only a year and a half old just get it dude.. Even if they come out with a new one it’s not gonna be much different and the processing power is already superb with the a15 chip same as iPhone 14.
@William Martin - I would recommend go for it and get one now, the spec bump is not going to be huge and I don’t see them adding any additional pro features anyway. I’d say to wait but I haven’t heard any rumors to reinforce waiting but honestly who knows. I’ve always had my iPads for years and I don’t see that changing even if they come out with a new mini.
@@QasimZafar i don't know if i agree entirely with this, I am currently using iPad Pro 9.7 (2017 model with A12) and MacBook pro 16 (2019 model with i7). The iPad is very slow with some tasks, like long apple notes or Freeform, so I wanted to upgrade it and iPad Mini seemed like the best one of them all. My MacBook, although perfectly fine, I was not able to use some of the new AI apps. So whilst the iPad Mini 6 seems decent for now, it probably has about solid 2 years more before it will really lag behind, whilst iPad Mini 7 that hopefully should be released this September would most likely have solid 5 year lifespan. In UK they also want £570 for iPad Mini which is kinda of a joke.
@Matt Majcher - I used a very old iPad Pro 11 inch for years without issue, I kept it 6 years and up until the end it could still do video edits just fine. I really don’t see the processor bump being huge but if you think it’s better to wait definitely do that.
Quick inquiry - If you glue 2 of your metal rings to the back of the Mini & affix it two of your magnetic phone car mounts - Do you think that it would be a practical way to mount a mini in a vehicle. I mainly would like to know if the magnets are strong enough to keep the Mini in place when driving. BTW - check out the ESR - trifold or magnetic case. That's the one I will likely get when I get my Mini 7...
@Terry B - Hi Terry, yes that will actually work…if you have enough space for it then it’s awesome I had long time ago done this with the nexus 7 tablet and it was awesome because that car had no screen. Alright I’ll give those a look for sure.
@@QasimZafar I mounted my mini to several vehicles over 10 ish years using a Ram Suction a/w Ram Mini holder - worked great. But being able to glue the rings to the 7 (when I get it) and simply plop it on the magnets (al la iPhone) would be nicer IMO.
@Cheer - Haha 😂 honestly I don’t mind either but on the mini I will recommend adding both a left and right hand finger because when you do grab it in landscape it’ll make your life easy.
@Rat Chakraborty - Glad you enjoyed the video! The iPad mini is a great device even though it’s not suitable for all. I’ve truly enjoyed using it as a daily driver and it does everything for me perfectly. Thanks for watching I really appreciate it 🙏🏽.
Hello, I'm late to the party here, however, quite thankful that I found you based on what I am looking for today. What an honest and thorough review!!! Thank you so much. I hope you won't mind if I ask what you think on some things, and you can let me know if you do, please. I don't want to be a bother. I'm not real savvy with all of this as you will see with my questions. Last Wednesday, I ordered the Apple Watch 9, which I will be picking up tomorrow at the Apple Store. I bought it with GPS/Cellular. Next, I turned in my iPad Pro because it was just so dang heavy. I made the trade for the iPad mini 6, and I am really enjoying it so far. They talked me into the 256GB based on what I had on the iPad Pro I traded. I have iPhone 14Plus, and of course, they were trying to talk me into the 15. But I did not bite, especially since I only purchased the 14plus in January of this year. With my iPhone 14 plus, I only have 128GB. Since the iPad mirrors my phone, do I need to upgrade the phone as well to 256GB or do I already have it because I chose it when buying the Mini? I know I'm probably going back and forth and confusing the issue. So sorry. I also have Apple One Family and pay the tab on that. Anything you can say here will be great as I really respect and admire how you approach things. PS. I do have the Pencil, and I'm not thrilled about how I look on FaceTime on the Mini, but I look pretty darned good on the IMAC, so that's that. Thank you in advance. I've subscribed. So glad to have found you.
@karens-mv2ti - Hi first of all thank you for the comment. Depending on how much iCloud storage you have you don’t really need all that space on the phone. Do you use iCloud to sync your photos? On the phone that’s going to be the main thing that takes up space so if you’re using iCloud then you don’t need to worry about swapping it for a 256gb model.
@@QasimZafar Thank you so much! I am loving the Mini for sure!! I do use the Cloud. I wonder why he insisted I get the 256GB on the Mini. At any rate, I’m happy with it all. And to be a subscriber of yours!!! Will keep up. Sorry I wrote a book 👆 Be well and happy! 💯
@HassnainKhan-lh6si - I feel the iPad Pro models are in a really odd position. They’re so powerful yet they’re bound by the limitations Apple has set on them.
Great video ❤. Do you use external drive for your ipad ? I am actually considering to get budget external drives for my 64 gb ipad mini, do you have any recommendations ? Really appreciate your reply. Once again keep up the great works on your vids.
@irwinnathanael4629 - Thank you I’m glad you enjoyed the video. I use this: amzn.to/47P4iS2 with both my MacBook and iPad mini. It’s reasonably priced for 1tb of storage.
I use my ipad mini for ipad things, reading books, comics, trading on the go, viewing documents away from my pc , Netflix and RUclips in bed .. you know ipad things... If i need to edit videos , my pc is the guy for that .
I’ve enjoyed watching.I have the iPad Air 2generation. It still working fine but it’s stuck on iOS 12. can’t update it. I think I’ll buy this iPad mini.
@matruashritap8874 - So far the iPad mini 7 should just be getting a minor bump in terms of processing. Exact details I’m not sure but definitely shouldn’t be a huge update as the update to the 6 was a big one.
I got a Mini 6 new and sold my Pro on ebay. The net cost out of my pocket was about $200 after I got a screen protector and a case for my Mini. Not a bad deal. I do love the size of the Mini, and it's a lot lighter, even with the case on it. It's also newer technology. The 64gb doesn't really bother me. If it becomes a problem, I'll just get an external SSD. I wish the Mini had facial recognition. I can't seem to get the touch ID to work. Do you have a video on that?
@gemlenz - Very nice I’m happy to hear you got a good deal and that you’re happy with the mini. Please refer to this article: support.apple.com/en-us/HT201371
@Neilo23 - You don’t need it, I have it as an in between device between my computer and phone that’s why it works. If you already have an iPad that works for you then you don’t need an additional device.
@RUclipsuseritis It’s not even gonna be rolling out fully until many months from now. It’s fomo for sure. Im personally very disappointed and was hoping for something substantial.
I have a Pro 12.9, Pro 11 and Mini 6 (all cellular for both cellular data and GPS), and I will always choose the Pro 11 or Pro 12.9 for most cases. I got and prefer the Mini 6 for when I moving around during the day a lot and carrying a very small sling, or perhaps I am backpacking or dayhiking and just want to have the iPad for reading books (and want lower power usage). And it works great in those cases - I have both a Zugu case and an Arteck keyboard case for the Mini 6, depending on whether I want to have a keyboard with me. For me the Mini 6 is great for certain use cases, but not for others.
@pinkypanchal3439 - I think you can hold onto it since you’re just one generation behind. If I had the mini 5 I would’ve held on as well and just kept it until there’s another update. Hope this helps and thank you for watching I really appreciate it 🙏🏽.
@@QasimZafar thank you Qasim . Btw I m a lady and an Indian. I absolutely love your videos and value your advice. I kept holding my 13 mini because of your genuine advice . Thanks a lot 🙏
@pinkypanchal3439 - You’re welcome and my apologies 🙏🏽. I really appreciate your feedback and support. I’ve still got my 13 mini too…I hope we get an update soon 🥹.
I wanted to love ipad mini and yet they don't have portable keyboard integrated with this device. I need to have a device I can use to watch, detach from the keyboard and also use the keyboard for productivity without the need to use pencil or digital keyboard from the screen. I doubt the ipad mini will be an option in this case. I been aiming ipad pro m1 instead of m2 which minor difference
Nice video! But if I had to choose from my 11" iPad Pro or iPad mini, I would pick the 11" iPad Pro. While I do love both devices, I can just do more with the iPad Pro. The biggest advantage the iPad mini has is the form factor of it. I can slide it into my back pocket of my jeans. I think both devices has their places in my world through.
@David Mullins - Both devices have their place for different people. For me the iPad mini 6 can handle and do what I need on a daily basis meanwhile I can understand the pro iPads being more beneficial to some. As long as it suits you one should get it.
@@QasimZafar recently ive been feeling my 12 minis battery is pretty poor. its battery life is 85%. have you been having any issues with the ipad mini 6?
I have an iPad mini that is the previous generation. Can it be used as you explained? I also have the first generation of Mac mini. I will be happy to use these two.
This is a great video, very helpful and informative. Thank you for the time you put in and for sharing. Could you tell us more about the wi-fi you have in your car please, I'm using a mobile router for when I'm out and about but I'm looking for something better. Thank you again. 👍+🔔
@John Long - Hi John thanks for the feedback I’m really glad you enjoyed the video. The car Wi-Fi I have is from tmobile, it’s a built in Wi-Fi hotspot and it works great for when I’m in the go. It’s $30 a month but the speeds are much better than connecting to your phone as a hotspot, even my phone and iPod touch are constantly connected to it.
I have an IPad pro 2108. I do alot of Procreate drawing on it . I like to faceid . I don't like the weight of it especially when I'm drawing. since I don't lay the ipad on a flat surface. I tried setting it up as a computer replacement. (I have a windows PC). I got a Logitech keyboard mouse, In the end I just couldn't make the transition. I like the looks of the mini and the fact that it is lighter. I don't do any travelling. So that's not an issue for me. Should I sell my Ipad 11 and get a mini? That's the big question. If I wait until the mini 7 comes out I might me alo to get min 6 even cheaper then they are now. What sre your thoughts? Your video was intriguing and makes me think before I buy a mini.
@gemlenz - I had the same iPad Pro which I switched for the mini. I would say just go for the mini, you’ll really enjoy the fact that you can actually hold it comfortably. The iPad serves as a great in between device and for that the mini is perfect.
I recently "downgraded" from an M1 ipad pro 11 inch to an iPad mini 6. I agree that it is far more usable than the larger ipads.
@mhans311 - It definitely is a great iPad and I see myself using it for a long time.
Same!
I've complete consensus wid its portability & power. NOTHING can beat its Usability
How is the movie watching experience comparing 11inch ipad pro vs ipad mini? Picture clarity?
@danielebenezer3507 The screen on the pro is obviously going to be of better quality but the mini 6 holds it own and makes for a great experience.
Did the same, pro motion is nice and all but I’ve been loving the mini
I used to have a third gen iPad Pro and an iPad Air....after buying the iPad mini 6, I sold both of them. The iPad mini does everything I need an iPad for. I got the 256GB WiFi only version and find myself using this way more than my others. I love it. I recently started putting the back cover only case on it (Vaja has a great leather case) and a screen protector instead of the Apple folio smart cover and find it a lot handier to grab and use but still have screen and back protection.
Sounds like me, going from Pro to Air and now back to the Mini. I’m happy with it. I don’t want any other larger iPad ever again
I used to have an ipad mini and loved it. It became dated and constricted for later needs, so I sold it.
listening to your comments, I could see myself again falling in love with the form factor. Especially considering
what I would primarily use it for.
I primarily use my iPad mini 6 for video consumption, and since I have the 5G version, I use it as an internet hotspot for my laptop.
That’s awesome 🤩 It’s a perfect little iPad 😊
why you don't use your phone as a hotspot ?
I get it bro. They just feel so good and convenient. Hard to explain unless you have one.
@@camptube7621 very true
A note on the Mini’s display, it has the P3 wide color gamut which covers the entire sRGB color range and also has some overlap with Adobe RGB color range. Adobe & sRGB are common color profiles for photo and video, so this does provide great color accuracy for editing both. I recently photographed a small wedding and edited the photos entirely on the iPad, I even tried connecting it to my ultrawide monitor but the colors looked completely blown out and saturated , so i went back editing directly on the iPad itself.
@MrJerkfaceKevin - That’s awesome and yes the colors on the iPad minis screen definitely look good 😊
Thank you for this - from a fellow photographer
Thanks for not screaming and make a scandalous video like other reviewers, I agree a lot w everything you said and watched thw whole video without getting sore ears 😅 great job
@Veronica Dias - Thanks for the feedback I really appreciate it. I like to keep it calm and make sure I get my point across 😊. Thanks for watching I really appreciate it 🙏🏽.
I bought a second hand iPad mini 6 cellular recently and I love it. Learning drawing on it and its my fav time pass.
try procreate dreams
I did it recently. Like a day before. I moss my mini though. Best device if one needs portable one to carry everywhere.
@@QasimZafar I am thoroughly enjoying it as well!
Haha feel like I need to sell my air and get the mini
@Seta Sonte - Go for it 😎
I had a 10th gen iPad ruclips.net/user/postUgkxUGaHtKW8MwCql2fPyIm9-ftTqSMzKFFA .
It’s honestly a great device and I’m happy to hear you’re enjoying it.
You took the words right out of my mouth …I bought one last week and I feel exactly the same
GREAT insightful review ! iPads are meant to be held CONVENIENTLY in the hand, and are meant to be portable !
@danielwilliams310 - Same here! The iPad mini is just the right size and capability for what the iPad is suitable for.
100% agree. My iPad mini 6 is the ultimate entertainment, note taking, portable power house. If there’s an iPad mini 7 in 2024, I’m certainly getting it.
@markos741 - I totally agree with you the mini is a beast 😍 and I would definitely get a new one when it drops.
iPad mini 5 owner here. If Apple brought out a new iPad mini with promotion that would be an insta-purchase from me!
@hey_bucklebob - That would be awesome! Love the mini as it’s a staple for me. Thanks for watching I really appreciate it 🙏🏽.
Agree. My iPad mini cellular is by far the best iPad I have had, and take it everywhere. Had normal size and 12.9”.
@highlanderes - Love the mini 6 and I’m glad to hear you’re enjoying yours as well.
hi, didn't know this channel, just wanted to say your voice is relaxing and soothing, pretty cool and relaxed video to watch. great channel!
@Pipo - Thank you! I really appreciate the feedback and kind words. Glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for watching 🙏🏽.
I feel like I'm listening to a therapist. Such a soothing voice.
Thanks for the feedback I really appreciate you watching 🙏🏽.
After MANY attempts to get comfortable with larger iPads (including the new iPad Pro 11") I've realized the Mini 6 (with a Paperlike on it) is the ultimate iPad for how I would actually use an iPad. The form factor is perfect.
@robfuzz - I couldn’t agree more with ya! Perfect size for a tablet and casual use when on the move. Thanks for watching I really appreciate it 🙏🏽.
Excellent video. I have a MAC, iPad Pro and a iPad mini 6. The mini 6 gets the majority of use much as you describe. I bought it for travel and ended up using it on the daily.
@River Rock - Thank you! Yes the mini is just such a perfect little device, truly a perfect iPad for me.
Now, this is what I call a review. It came from the heart 💯. I'm subscribing right away.
Good review, thanks! I have been debating for the last few days which iPad to get, it is Mini now.
The M2 MacBook Air is more than capable for the majority of people and the iPad mini 6 compliments it perfectly as an in between device.
iPad mini is the most perfect one except for reading stuff. I don’t feel it’s big enough to read stuff. But it’s the perfect iPad.
Thanks for your feedback and for watching John!
woa woa woa what a gem of a video!! fantastic presentation, good quality in audio and visuals. very well done!! kudos!!
@Berti - Thank you so much I really appreciate the feedback and I’m really glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks for watching 🙏🏽.
You made my decision easy. I'm getting one now. Thank you
@Bach Pregil - Glad I could help 😊
The ipad 10 right now is only 320 €.
traded in my 2020 11in ipad pro for the 256gb mini 6 cellular model and haven’t looked back. feels like a huge upgrade for my use case.
@Given Taylor - That’s awesome! When you get the right device for your needs it’s always a good feeling ☺️.
I have ipad mini 6 and i feel that you read all my thinking about, i am using it exactly like you said
@Sidali Mahfoudi - That’s awesome to hear! It’s a great iPad and I love it. Thanks for watching I really appreciate it 🙏🏽.
I have Ipad mini 5 with IpadOS 16.5.1 and still works great. Ipad mini’s are the best!!
Yes I totally agree 😊
i think that is why Apple still has the ipad mini. but, to the same extent, people complain there are not enough pro features on the mini.
@Shawn Evans - If the 11” is working out for you I’d stick with it. Only go for the 12.9 if you really need an increase in the screen size.
@@QasimZafar Thanks! Yeah being my only computer I was thinking the 12.9, but if the 11” can do the same thing I’ll get it. Plus it takes up less space.
This is the same reason i got one its portable and light with lots of power and storage.😊
@Denver Morgan - It’s a great iPad
I love my iPad mini 6. Here’s a great keyboard case option on Amazon. HOU iPad Mini 6 (8.3-inch) Keyboard Case, Ultra Slim Wireless Keyboard Only 210g, Power Display, Magnetic Protective Cover Support iPad Mini 6th Generation 2021 - Black
@eliivey - You have the link by chance?
Love my mini 6 I use it to take my history notes and media and its working really great battery is also pretty good
@Techh - Thays awesome I’m glad it’s working well for you! It’s really a perfect little iPad 😊.
We have the same taste of ipad mini 6 , and thanks for make me more and more to love it 🥰🥰
@Akhmad Rifai - Happy to hear that 😊 it’s truly an awesome iPad and perfect for all my needs.
I have a space gray Mini 6 which replaced my venerable Mini 5 about a year ago, the Mini series of iPads are my favorite devices other than my iPhone.
@warren gaskin - I agree completely 😊
use a wacom with your computer and a simple 8 inch tablet for media consumption...
Great review. Sensible and honest. Zero bs. 👍
Thank you I really appreciate the feedback and I’m glad you enjoyed the video 🙏🏽.
Thanks, maybe in another video, you can share your experience of Touch ID vs Face ID, I wish they have both on all Apple devices 😅
@Cheer - Haha 😂 honestly I don’t mind either but on the mini I will recommend adding both a left and right hand finger because when you do grab it in landscape it’ll make your life easy.
Very sensible video indeed on ipad, all other views are skewed on unnecessary feature and purpose of buying takes backseat!
@karens-mv2ti No worries at all! I’m happy I could help, thank you for subscribing I really appreciate it.
I really want one i was always a fun of from thr beginning, its just that I'll be leaving my iPhone behind 😅
I have MacBook pro and ipad pro with M2 chips. But the Problem with ipad pro is that it is trying to become a MacBook. Which I already have.
@HassnainKhan-lh6si - I feel the iPad Pro models are in a really odd position. They’re so powerful yet they’re bound by the limitations Apple has set on them.
I want the iPad mini Wi-Fi + Cellular 😊
Yup it’s perfect for an in between device 😊.
Couldn't agree more, try buy MOFT Keyboard to match its when you travel.
Will look into it for sure, thanks for watching I really appreciate it 🙏🏽
I love watching all of these mini 6 videos I just wish they give us a M1 chip now that Final Cut Pro is out
Hello thanks for the review. I’ve been thinking of getting a mini. I want to know what screen do you have above your desk?
@Nich J - amzn.to/3NH5jnF
I’ve enjoyed watching.I have the iPad Air 2generation. It still working fine but it’s stuck on iOS 12. can’t update it. I think I’ll buy this iPad mini.
@Meritenn - Love this iPad and it’s an easy recommendation for me to make. I’m glad you enjoyed the video and appreciate you watching 🙏🏽.
Should I buy ipad mini 6 or wait for mini 7 .... and what will be the major changes in mini 7 we can expect
@matruashritap8874 - So far the iPad mini 7 should just be getting a minor bump in terms of processing. Exact details I’m not sure but definitely shouldn’t be a huge update as the update to the 6 was a big one.
Mini 6 will available under 40000(Indian rupees). So should I grab the offer?
@matruashritap8874 that’s actually not bad considering that in India and other countries prices are higher. I would suggest you go for it 😊.
“Watch a few things before I go to sleep” giggity😅
The matte screen protector looks nice, care to share the details?
It’s great I’ve been using it for a long time and I love how it reduces reflections. Here is the link: amzn.to/3rekADf
Is this lpad the best to watching , scrolling , playing and reading !!!!
Please refer to this article: support.apple.com/en-us/HT201371
i bought an ipad mini 6 because of this video
I’m glad the video helped, I really love the iPad mini 6 and I think you will really enjoy it 😊.
I willing to buy can you tell on ipad mini 6 does CANVA app works or not?
Yeah it works great without any issue.
Thank you Sir! 😀
At this point, I’m only watching videos about the ipad mini 6 for validation on my purchase😅
@Agga Viriyo - It’s a good purchase and I’m sure you’re going to love it in the long run.
Like you vids, but i suggest you put some bgm like lofi soft sound since your transition each set are superberb. Its very clean keep it up
@Leon Evets - Thanks for your feedback! I’ve tried adding music but it hasn’t worked well for me.
Thanks for your input 😊
You’re welcome and thank you for watching 🙏🏽.
I have an ipad 12.9” and an iphone. I don’t see the point in having something in between. Maybe I would if I didn’t own what I do 🤷♂️
@Neilo23 - You don’t need it, I have it as an in between device between my computer and phone that’s why it works. If you already have an iPad that works for you then you don’t need an additional device.
What monitor do you have?
The product is nice but I get too many bubble could not work them all out. Had to return the screen protector.
@C Dekate - it took me some time too but I was able to get them all out and it’s been fine since.
Is it worth 2 upgrade to mini 7 for the apple intelligence features?
@RUclipsuseritis - Nah not at all, Apple seriously dropped the ball on the “updates” to the iPad mini 7. I’m gonna stick with my mini 6.
@ I feel Apple Intelligence will become too big at the same time. It may be just FOMO as well.
@RUclipsuseritis It’s not even gonna be rolling out fully until many months from now. It’s fomo for sure. Im personally very disappointed and was hoping for something substantial.
Great review!
Thank you I really appreciate it 🙏🏽
Can share where you got the wallpaper?
@williamsoo8500 - It’s a wallpaper pack of mine which includes both the iPad and iPhone tekmomo.com/products/to-the-moon-wallpaper-pack
For someone who has never owned an iPad is an iPad mini 6 a good introduction to the apple universe Also is it worth the price
@April Mcdermit - Totally agree with you 😊
bro your voice my guy. you shuold do asmr for sure
@cMaslow - Apprecoate the feedback brother 🙏🏽
How can i get your wallpaper? 😍
@Antonio - It’s available on my site for purchase: tekmomo.com/products/to-the-moon-wallpaper-pack
I can use , the ipad mini 6 full screen in dwsktop monitor ?
I have an iPad mini5 ,256 gb cellular 2020 , should I exchange it with new mini 6 . Kindly advice me 🙏
@pinkypanchal3439 - I think you can hold onto it since you’re just one generation behind.
Can you zoom to fill the screen on youtube and other apps?
@violet-mp1mk - Yes you can
@QasimZafar thanks for the reply
I been aiming ipad pro m1 instead of m2 which minor difference
where did you get the wallpaper?
As long as it suits you one should get it.
what camera did u use in making this video pls?
For a lot of people the same can be said for the iPhone mini
@Ray digitalfootprint - Yup I totally agree love both the 13 mini and the iPad mini 😊.
@@QasimZafar recently ive been feeling my 12 minis battery is pretty poor. its battery life is 85%. have you been having any issues with the ipad mini 6?
@Ray digitalfootprint - No I haven’t had any issues with battery on the mini 6. My 13 mini has aged a little bit but still is doing alright.
@@QasimZafar Thank you, be well.
Just wondering what game are you playing in this video
@Babycornball49 - Clash Royale
The iPad serves as a great in between device and for that the mini is perfect.
hope to have one...
