Great solve. It's fun to hear you reason it out as you go. As usual, I had a couple good laughs at your expense. I thought R3C7 in a row with 3 cages summing to 40 had a huge sign saying "Enter Here", but you found a way to ignore it with your mathematical prowess. At 21:00 you found the position of the yellows in box 4 but forgot about the negative constraint. (you caught yourself at 43:30) At 34:09 "Never 4!" At 42:28 there's a pair of 5s in columns 8 and 9 boxes 1 and 9. There is "roping" throughout the puzzle that you also did not use. Happy Halloween. This was a treat. Did you notice the cages spell POE?
Thanks! I don't know how I manage to miss something like R3C7! Sometimes my mind refuses to see what's in front of it. :) hence the introduction. Mathematical 'Prowess', LMAO! :'D When you paint yourself into a corner because you didn't see the easy way, you have to improvise. At least, I don't have to prove that I didn't see you solving video beforehand. I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed the video. Yes I noticed that the cage spell POE when I first saw the puzzle but I forgot to comment on that in the video. Great puzzle, thank you for sharing it.
I tend to set my puzzles and ensure there is a unique solution, then prove there is a logical way to solve without "bifurcation." I've only watched you and Mark Goodliffe solve my puzzles. You two consistently find ways to place digits I never saw.
