Hey Chris! You always do such a great job of putting together these guides! Enjoyed seeing the recap of all the great places you’ve taken us to! Hope you and the Mr are doing well 😊
Been wanting to do this video for a while now and finally completes the series. I hope it helps others when planning the same trip we did..... we sure enjoyed it! But now onto other areas and have lots of new content coming our way :) Yep, we are both doing well and I'm busy plugging away on my blog at the moment..... excited to see what happens in the next few months :) Hope you guys are awesome and looking forward to your next addition !
Cheers Bernie... been wanting to complete this video for a while. Within a 5 hour trip we certainly entertained ourselves for 2 weeks. Really enjoyed it and the Bloomfield track was a highlight 💖💖 Thanks for watching
@@AquariusTraveller Always enjoy watching. You did very well to fit that much in for sure. I am on the hunt for my next job. The Traditional Owners are still refusing to give permission for us to open 🙄 So I have about a week and halfs work left. Got a few things in the works, new opportunities and new adventures.
@@AquariusTraveller The caravan park. Possibly but highly unlikely! Though the Indigenous Australian people are capable of many surprises. We have been told we will be finishing up soon. I think the owners have given up on this season.
@@adventurewithbernieso sorry to hear this... what a pain after driving all the way over there...I hope your other options are still near there? So the national park is still open for visitors ...what about the other camping spots and the Savannah etc? Are they still opening?
Hey Miriam... glad to see your trip is going well and love seeing your pics. 💖💖 With all my research the Bloomfield track is not recommended for toeing anything.... but I'm sure people do. I have a blog in the description if you want to read more up on it. We didn't encounter any wet weather so the track was in its best condition and didn't even engage 4wd. That said, rain affects the track big time and the incline and declines can be tricky and slippery after wet weather. Toeing will add to the difficulty and the skinny roads with make the two way traffic harder. We past about three 4wdrives toeing campers on our trip... could tell they had been on a cape trip and seem to be fine. 👍👍 I would ring the cape trib tourist info and get the most up to date conditions on the track and go from there, also get there opinion on toeing a van.
@@AquariusTraveller hey Chris, thanks for that and yes, will check out your other video too. We’ll probably err on the side of caution, the weather has been a bit unpredictable lately and if we weren’t towing we’d definitely do it but maybe not this time. Still, we’ll get to Cooktown. I imagine you’ve done the Cape? 😊
No cape for us yet...but I will one day. Still deciding how we want to do it since I'm not keen on swagging it for 2 weeks...lol. 😂😂 I'm guessing that's where your heading ?
@@AquariusTraveller haha, fair enough. We actually left our swag in storage as we didn’t want to lug it around the country again. So not sure about Cape York this time. Seems a shame as we’re so high up but we’ll just see what happens. That’s the beauty of flexible travel I guess. 😄
@@miriamblaker1600 Very true - I'm heading back up to Airlie next weekend as I didn't finish filming the last time. Too much wind and could get out on the boat tours.

@@adventurewithbernie omg...what? Are you talking the actual caravan park or the national park?
Are they not going to open at all this season ?

Thanks great info.
Lovely area to explore.... I had so much fun on this trip 👍👍
Great video Chris. We’re towing an off-road van behind our 4WD. How would you rate the Bloomfield Track for caravans?
