The scenic view and video clips of the Golden Bridge were beautiful. However, I don't see how you can say you received poor customer service from the hotel staff when there's a language barrier. Visitors shouldn't expect locals to speak English. Also, what you may think is rude behavior, might be normal to them. It would also have been helpful to provide hotel recommendations if you're letting us know to choose our hotel wisely.
Thank you for this wonderful video, we are in Ho Chi Minh. Your channel is absolutely amazing so informative. Glad to have found your channel on Women of RUclips FB page and can't wait to follow along on your travels.
Wow! Cool that you found me through that group! Welcome to the channel and enjoy Vietnam. It’s such a beautiful country! Wish we got to explore it more!
AWESOME VIDEO mate love the dragon bridge. we will have to catch up and have a chat if our paths cross in Asia. we just subscribed and looking forward to more GREAT VIDEOS.
It was my favorite place ever and i've seen a lot. The people are so friendly and open, the food is amazing, the city and its surroundings are out of this world beautiful and even though we came across the language barrier every now and then, everyone was trying their best to express themselves and help the best they could.
Absolutely love this video! Can't wait to get back to Danang. Hoping to spend 6 months a year in Vietnam as I travel the world. I'm inspired by your travels.
@@LucasWorldTravel Thank you for the inspiration. Staying in Canada this year, but it will give me a chance to explore some beautiful areas of my own country first.
Yes, there is an airport! We stayed at Nhu Minh Plaza which we do not recommend, and Minh Toan Hotel which is a nice beachfront hotel we can recommend. Thanks for watching and happy travel planning!
It always feels wonderful to be on the beach 🙏 Vietnam really has beautiful scenic views. Golden Bridge is so amazing, you are so lucky that you got to visit. Amazing video ❤️
Yes, we recommend Minh Toan Ocean Hotel as a good beach front hotel in Da Nang. We did not have a good experience in Nhu Minh Plaza Hotel. I imagine they would be good if we spoke Vietnamese. There were so many bad miscommunications trying to speak English with them that I would not recommend.
Whata cool vlog guys - love the pacing and the music choice! We actually had to leave Vietnam through Da Nang becuase of the pandemic - our last vlog is from there! So we didnt get chance to see the golden bridge, but got a quick look at the dragon bridge :). Once we're allowed back out, we'll start again from Da Nang, it looks wonderful! Thanks again!
Awesome overview! There are so many great things to do there! You are correct our apartment choice in Da Nang had a great location, but not so great in terms of how old the building was and cleanliness :) We would definitely go back just pick a different place to stay :)
Thanks for sharing all of your super fun places in DaNang! We didn't do everything you guys did and we almost wished we did because there were so many cool places we missed. Love that you came up with a list of good and bad to share with people. Love your voice-over too! Really amazing work! Watched your whole video to support
I didn't visit Da Nang when I went to Vietnam but it looks well worth a visit. That golden hands bridge looked so beautiful in the mist! Shame about the hotel
You must have already been in VN when the lock down started. I was suppose to go to Da Nang about 3.5 months ago and had everything booked when I cancelled in January when all of the Covid-19 started appearing. Probably would have spent my entire trip in quarantine. Looking forward to visiting and retiring early in Da Nang in a few years. Thanks for the video!
I've never been to Vietnam but it's on my list, and you've gave me lots of ideas on what to see there so thank you! That golden hands bridge is a must!!! Looks absolutely incredible 😍😍😍💙
The Golden hands bridge looks so cool, the mist definitely adds to the effect like you said. So glad you guys were happy with your second hotel, it looked so nice! It’s crazy how much that picks your mood back up after a bad experience😊
Yes, the two hotels were night and day. Glad we switched hotels otherwise we would have had a bad impression of the city when it was really just an isolated hotel problem.
Once again your narration is so wonderful. I love the beaches, mountains, architecture, and gardens! Haha I would have taken the elevator too! 😂 The city lights are amazing. 👍👍 I’ve always wanted to visit the golden hands bridge!
Vietnamese cuisine paradise, and everything is cheap. The country and people of Vietnam are very friendly. pleasant temperate climate. Wish those who come to Vietnam to travel are also happy, happy and have many beautiful memories about the country and people of Vietnam. If you haven't come to Vietnam yet, please arrange a time and come to the country and people here once. Surely you will be satisfied and feel great when coming to Vietnam to experience memories. You can choose Vietnam as your 2nd hometown, which is too great. Vietnam loves all skin colors, all ethnic groups in the world. Vietnam loves peace
THANK GOD! THERE IS NO UGLY PART! THE BAD IS ONLY THE BAD SERVICE OF ONE HOTEL! THAT HAPPENS EVERYWHERE IN THE WORLD! HOPE YOU HAVE MORE COMPLETELY WONDERFUL TRIPS IN THE FUTURE IN VIETNAM! LOVE !
Da Nang and Hoi An were the places we couldn't visit on our Vietnam trip because of a typhoon. we definitely want to explore Danang on our next trip. The cathedral is so beautiful, it reminds a bit of the pink church in Ho Chi Minh. Also, Marble mountains and Dragon bridge look amazing!
I am going to Vietnam in this coming November, Da Nang is one of my destination on the list. It is good to see your video it provides me a glimpse of Da Nang before my trip. I did booked a beach front hotel with a balcony facing the South China Sea. Hopefully I won't bump into a bad hotel service situation like you did but then again I do speak a little Vietnamese which might help a little in communication. Good video!👍👍👍
That bridge through Buddha's hand is so famous and such an interesting architecture. Pretty impossible to get a picture without tourists I assume. Seems you had an amazing trip.
We passed through the bridge twice. Once in the morning it was very crowded, but in the afternoon was a lot less people. A bit easier to get good shots.
Marble Mountains - would't believe that it can be so cool inside the mountain, those alters are amazing. Dragon bridge is majestic and long but Golden bridge hands is really something special and spectacular. That kind of experiences sadly happen when you travel but both of the rooms looked nice.
Yes, Da Nang is filled with great sights and a lot of beauty. Bad hotel experiences do happen, but luckily we were able to move and have a better experience.
oh have seen some Danang videos and now yours, really hope we could visit one day! we used Klook too for our travel, great deals there! the sunworld is super beautiful yes especially the brigde
da nang vietnam the good place , and the best herbal tea from there , im still looking that tea the only packaging i notice color light green n yellow, im glad if anyone can find for me
Looks like a lovely place to visit. Hotels can be hit and miss everywhere. Always check the comments before committing to a long stay. We stayed in the Worldview Hotel in Dumaguete and it was the worst place we ever experienced in the Philippines.
Next time take me! I will be your interpreter. By the way; Vietnamese language is based on tone. One word by different tones can mean 3 different things. Yes learning the language and culture of any destination will ease your worries. Hope this is helpful. My birth place since I left at 8. Now 52; I need to visit. Wow! So much changes since I bathe I that water. Thanks for the video. Very nice.
I love the good side of Vietnam, so much things to do and I love to visit all that places one day, Sorry to hear your hotel bad experience, I think that's pretty common for non English Language country?
Unfortunately I poorly explained the bad side in this video. I was trying to be generous, but there was so much drama in this hotel and with the taxi drivers too.
I’m lucky to be married to a Vietnamese girl so I don’t have to worry about translations 🙏🏼 Thanks for the review! I’m trying to decide between Da Nang or Hanoi for our next trip over there in October 🥳
Looks like an interesting place to visit. The golden hands bridge looks amazing. We left a hotel in sorrento once, they where horrible svd unreasonable. We tries to speak to them befoewr went for a day trip, then once they found out we weren't happy, they wanted us to come back and get our belonging do they could get to lots of nightly fees for the room. We did not cur our trip short.
I can imagine visiting a country like Vietnam, where the culture is so different from my and your western world experience would leave such an deep and revealing impressions and experiences. Stunning views and images. 👍🎥❤️🌷🙋🏼♀️
Missing in Da Nang, Vietnam: Hello everyone..this is a welfare check for our fellow expat, Taiwanda Bason. The good stuff you pointed out all sounds really good. The bad hotel service is not on them, it's not really their job to speak English. You went halfway across the world to their country. They speak Vietnamese and you didn't pay them to speak English.
Have stayed there several times and had a wonderful dentist, excellent work and saved a lot of money compared to American price. Also you don't have to wait they get you in fast. The Good Bad and the Ugly I don't really see it that's just it cliquey phrase, seems irrelevant. You should mention when they say Beach hotel that might be a block or two or five blocks away so that's a little misleading however the hotel I stayed in was wonderful with an excellent buffet breakfast included, Mandela Beach hotel at my Key Beach. I plan to get back there and it could even be a place I would live.
Really liked your narration, the visuals and the lovely music you chose. But the Bad about Da Nang? It is not Da Nang specific. You made a bad choice and why do you expect staff of a cheaper hotel to speak English? Your advice at the end of the video is good. A lot of tourists still will go with a cheap option, will cope with a smile and adjust . ....Disclosure: have been to Da Nang, loved it (as everyone seems to ); stayed at one of the top international hotels. There are stunning places on this planet were there is only very basic accommodation and no English spoken. Yet, communication is possible; it's part of the fun.
I'm Vietnamese I am glàd that you mention about the first hotel you stay because it's real the people need to learn and respect the visitor not just money and money only . visiting Vietnam because people going there are more than just pleasure and vacation they go there because they are loving Vietnam and the history of the viet namese people and there culture.every visitor that decide to visit Vietnam the Vietnamese people need to welcome with a big warming smile because they come with a big heart for the country of vietnam.thank you for visiting my country.come back against.
Thanks for your understanding Long. We had a great experience at our second hotel in Da Nang, so we know it was just that one isolated hotel. Thanks so much for watching! We had lovely time in the city!
Don't take this the wrong way, but I wouldn't get room service at a hotel in Da Nang when there is so much amazing street food in the city. A lot of it for cheap too. Just saying. Nice video though. Beautiful scenery!
No problem at all. I was having stomach issues at the time and just wanted to chill in the room with some comforting chicken soup, but that didn't happened.
Is this a Grab commercial? You should really support the taxi people. Seriously, the Bad is that you can't communicate because you don't speak Vietnamese? So it's their fault. They even came up to your room to try and communicate. Wow. Little entitled aren't we?
I tried to use the local taxi drivers in Vietnam but they were not honest. They scam tourists. Grab is much better for a cheap and honest ride. If a hotel advertises English speaking staff, yes I expect English speaking staff. I believe that is fair.
YOU ARE RIGHT! LEARN A BIT OF THE NATIVE LANGUAGE WHEN YOU VISIT A FOREIGN COUNTRY! the service in Japan is excellent but to find a staff worker who can speak English is tough! and no one seems to complain about it! USE GOOGLE TRANSLATOR, THAT WOULD OFFSET THIS DIFFICULTY!
Being lost in translations of for me nothing bad, it’s the adventure of travelling. I don’t even wanna know what I have eaten back in f.e. China by ordering vegetables…
Hey friend, new here! Found you thru Explorcations channel. Would love to support each others channels! How does that sound? See you soon! Full watch, sub and big thumbs up! -Ashley from Adventure Encounters
Thanks so much Ashley! Yes, I'm happy to support one another! I checked out your San Fran video and gave it a full watch, sub, and thumbs up as well. Kind regards!
Not sure why you complain about that hotel that couldn't understood what you ordered? When you go another country, it's your job to try to learn their language and not the other way around. The fact the staff came to your room to try and understand your order l, well you really should say they try to accommodate y'all above and beyond rather than an attitude that they had to come up to your room to figure out what you want. Been watching many videos from different channels and this is the first attitude I heard based on experience like this! Something to think about !
Yes, there was a lot more I didn't mention that I should have in the video. This was me trying to be generous. when I really should have torn into them. It was bad!
Ha ha....being of Vietnamese heritage, I can tell you that how we speak sounds like an argument to Westerners. So, don't worry about it. That's how we talk.
Wow I hate it when someone in a far away country doesn't speak the exact language I speak. Very inconvenient. What a terrible review. If you venture to a far-away piece of this beautiful globe, expect others to not cater to YOU and deal with the delays in your "room service". Glad your rooftop pool was nice, Karen.
Thank you for such a nice video. New sub!
Thanks Robert! Welcome to the channel! It’s good to have you along for the journey!
Lovely, informative video. What time of the year was your visit pls?
Great to hear! We were there mid-March so good luck planning your trip!
Thanks for sharing a full view of your travels, including the not so great moments. The beach and marble mountains looked great.

Awesome video dear, I came across your channel and I would love to connect and support each other. I hope we can connect
Thanks! And I'm happy to support and subscribe. Please subscribe back. Kind regards!
Sure didn't
look like this when I was there in 1964/65
Supporting a fellow small RUclipsr! Enjoy watching videos similar to mine that are informative about locations I can't go to! Subbed! 👊
Thanks so much! I checked out your channel as well. So cool that you are living in Japan. That's on our top 3 list of places we want to go next.
Should have inserted some Spaghetti Western music.
Yes! Lazy Bum army right here! Lol, we can see the exact same thing without the drama of hiking up 😂😂
Lol! You're my type of people! Thanks for watching Bee!
Omg this voice
And ugly?
The hotel experience, plus there are a lot of taxi scams as well.
Unable to communicate? You travel to a foreign country. Either learn the language or roll with it
Hotels advertise certain languages. If they can’t deliver on them then they shouldn’t offer them.
Your voice amazing 😉
While I am in da hood, Da sista in Viet Nam.
You left out the ugly part.....
first of all, where's the ugly? Second, bc the staff don't speak PERFECT English is a ¨trip runner? gurlll....you need to chill.
vegan food is better than dead chicken organs hehe
Ha! We agree! We’re evolving into pescatarians. One day we might even reach vegetarian, then vegan level though.
Horrible audio, gave up first 30 seconds
Thanks for the feedback!
The reason why the hotel staff didn't understand you is because you don't speak Vietnamese.
Luckily, the next hotel understood us perfectly and provided us much better service.
Great to have viable options.... hopefully those staff at last hotel learn the English language soon...so there's no bad reviews 🌏
