Happy to see people having fun with a game, but let's be honest we need to keep holding companies accountable for delivering an objectively bad game at launch, instead of sugar coating it
I agree, but hold it against the developer, not the game. If you don’t want to purchase the game, that’s understandable, but there’s a lot of people who bought it and only played a few hours, or not at all, and they might find it worth it to play now.
the game was fine at launch. the hate train was mostly exaggeration. no bugs in my 100+ hours in the first 2 months. don't base your entire opinion off of youtube.
@@0xsergy No, the game was not fine at launch. Just because you didn't experience bugs it doesn't mean no one else did. I didn't experience any bugs in 70 hours of Cyberpunk, but that doesn't mean the game was released in an acceptable state. It really speaks to the current state of AAA games when a company can release a half baked game at full price and some people will still say: "This is fine, this is the quality I will accept."
The community is super nice, I remember when I first started someone was chasing me in PA which freaked me out abit but then he/she were only trying to give me some stuff lol, now 350+lvls later I'm the one doing the chasing and gifting.
the minute i walked out of vault 76, some rando was waiting and just gave me a 10mm pistol, a pipe pistol, and 1000 of a few ammo. I got very lucky in the beginning. Edit: Hey look ma I made it
Damn that sucks, I usually use a long time creating a character too so deffo get the frustration here… I would reccomend trying it again as the servers are more stable now (there was a bunch of dupers crashing servers a week ago so could be why you crashed too) This is by far my favorite game and I can only recommend it. If you play on last gen console there is sadly still framerate problems at times, depends on your console but if youre okay looking past that theres a really fun game waiting for you
@@thenorthernlion9176 I play it on PC and I did get through the character creation. It is fun so far, much better now than the first time I tried it, as it at least have NPCs now. The stupid Atomic shop bothers me though, so much stuff is locked behind another paywall. Such as building plans and cool looking gear, I hate when stuff like that is not just something you can unlock through gameplay. But I am enjoying myself so far, how long that last I don't know.
I gave Fallout 76 another chance back when season 4 was released, it has been my go-to game ever since. I remember buying a physical copy on launch and selling it a week later, this game has evolved greatly and I recommend it to any fallout fans that felt betrayed at launch
I bought it and put it down immediately for like 2 years or something. Just started playing again yesterday and currently enjoying it a lot at level 11. Coming from a fan that felt betrayed lol.
I got into this game a couple days ago because I wanted to give it a shot. My first experience after stepping out of the vault was some super high level guy walking up to me and giving me 50 water and 50 radscorpion steak. This really helped me want to continue exploring the game and seeing what it had to offer. While it certainly isn’t the best game and I already have some complaints, so far the game seems alright for what it is. ps: I wasn’t expecting the world map to be so big lol
I played at the beginning and hated it but now it’s absolutely amazing. Give it a try it’s so much fun. The player base is so helpful and is the complete opposite of GTA players
I'm playing GTA5 now after taking a break from FO4. The save system in GTA5 is horrible! I have to skip cutscenes so I can save because I have to leave. Full 20 minutes of game before you can save. No respect for the players time. I can't wait to finish it so I can play 76.
@@miladjabri4463 They really , REALLY should offer a C.A.M.P box ( that little thing we carry arround until we find the best spot to live ) upgrade system to improve storage
I love the idea of a live service game that continually updates and gets new content, but I wanna play it like a single player game. Mostly by myself, exploring, looting. Not a lot of games that let you do both. I'm gonna check this out
Have u tried the game yet? I got over 500 hours playing solo, doing quests and exploring the vast open world, it was a blast and fun experience. Occasionally stumble upon random players or they visit your CAMP and some of them giving u freebies add in to the experience.
@@Half-Vampire yeah, I recently started playing it. It's really good. I was shocked. The community is probably the most chill I've ever encountered in this type of game. I like it.
@@Half-Vampire many events are geared towards multiplayer and vats was altered due to multiplayer. Can it be soloed? Yes, but it's far from ideal and other people will be around event locations breaking immersion. The only way is paying for a private server and the game just isn't worth that much money to me.
You can play it as a single player game. Other people are on the map and the people regularly invite all on the server to join them for raids and to be part of a team, other people are scavenging and doing their own quests. It is a giant world and there's only so many people on one server and so it isn't something like Gta V single player where people are everywhere. I still feel that Loneliness and isolation when playing this game. The soundtrack (radio off) part is the best of any Fallout game. I got to the top of a lighthouse just to see the area and hear the music at sundown. You are also free to use workshops (with your items only) of other people at their base and that is extremely useful
I was genuinely like 1 minute out of the vault and this fella with a pretty green monster mask and some weird costume dropped a witch hat and a witch costume, it wasn’t much, but it absolutely made my day because I love Halloween stuff. Thank you to whoever gave me it.
If I see that someone is level 1 and still in Vault 76, I will try to stop outside the vault and drop some equipment and aid and ammo for them. But mostly, I drop extra plans that I have that would be hard for a low level to get.
@@djcook yeah there are a ton of factions from the settlers, raiders, brotherhood of steel, blue ridge caravan, hellcats, blood eagles, etc... and there are so many quests and events. It’s great
This video: "They fixed a lot of bugs. Here are bugs that happened to me... ...these bugs happened a lot but mostly during dailies which is every day."
After watching your video I’m starting a new character (haven’t played since launch) and going to give it a shot with the plan of playing all weekend. Thanks for a good informative video
I am level 450 been playing since launch and the current state of the game is great and very enjoyable. I cant wait for expeditions to the Pitt and the 2 other updates this year! They really did this game justice and the amount of fixes, improvements and new content in the horizons looks even better! I am also really happy to see new players getting into it as we have had a massive player increase due to E3, upcoming Steel Reign and free week.
@Jabbathemut Well in all fairness, BGS has the overwhelming majority of the teams at Rockville, Dallas, Montreal and even much of Austin all hands on deck for Starfield currently. Starfield is an insanely deep and ambitious Space RPG epic that is on a completely rebuilt game engine, and now has a locked in release date of 11.11.22 so they're at the point where they need most of the teams focus on Starfield. Personally would I like to see more rapid story DLC/Expansion content? Sure. But I honestly can't complain as the content has literally gotten better and more refined through Wastelanders, Steel Dawn and now Steel Reign. And hey, they've fortunately kept it free. And at least we know what the future will be to offer consistently unique and varied quests/gear and exploration with Expeditions, starting with The Pitt.
I've been playing since the Beta and I still play it to this day. Sure there were some times I took a break from the game, but those were periods when there wasn't any content. 2020 was the best year for the game and it's gotten even better with Steel Reign.
@@dandan9772 every DLC is free, same with the season pass (it's very nice, it gives you some good stuff like atoms, skins, structures for your camp, etc, all for free). Also, the game is giving you atoms every time so you actually don't feel the need of buying them for real money
I downloaded the game from gamepass to give it a try about 3 weeks ago since it was free and by far it's my favorite game of 2021 as well. I can't stop playing it and I've played a ton of RPG games to know a good one from a bad one. This Fallout title turned out to be one of the best in my unbiased opinion. It's extremely good and I totally recommend it to anyone.
At the moment we have a few more bugs due to the update. I’m getting stuck at my crafting stations. If it happens to you just fast travel. But server crashes are more common.
Started playing 76 2 weeks ago, I has level 12 and this level 300+ runs up to my camp and dropped a crap ton of Shotgun ammo, now I use mainly double barrel shotguns and loving this game through and through
Their scummy treatment of the atomic shop is something I’ll never support. So many items cost them next to nothing to produce but cost the player crazy amounts. The premium feature of that scrap box being locked behind a paywall is absurd; it’s something that should be part of your base game.
I don't think it's a good thing that core features such as the campsite & private worlds is locked behind a paywall. Private worlds at least should be accessible to everyone!!!
You're paying for the server space I assume. That's the way I assume they have it setup. Maybe one day they can set it up P2P so you can just connect to someone else but who knows.
Fallout is getting better each season. I decided to start making content to help out the newbies coming along. Thanks for the coverage Gingy. Let's get folks to gravitate to Appalachia
People like you is why Bethesda keeps releasing mediocre buggy games... YOU DESERVE BETTER THAN! It is your right of purchase to have a functional product, and if after all that you still kiss Bethesda's ass on a daily basis no wonder they keep getting away with it.
Finally, someone who actually still plays the game talking about the game. So many RUclipsrs haven't touched the game in years and still talk shit about it and turn it into a 10 minute video. Also, yes. The community is super neat. I remember when I first bought the game right when it launched and I accidentally shot a dude's camp so I got a bounty, which meant I couldn't see other players on the map, which sucked. And then one day a player comes by, greets me and then kills me. I respawn and go back to him, he gives me a thumbs up and then goes away. Props to that guy for getting rid of my bounty ❤
My favorite 76 bug is when they gave people nylon bags instead of canvas, or when they leaked consumers public info. Though one of the cool ones was when the nukacola dark was actually a plastic shell surrounding a normal beer bottle.
This review is really well done and almost mirrors my exact journey for the game the past 2 months. Perfect for anyone wondering if they should pick up fo76 in 2021.
I played at launch and got to level 25ish but it felt like I was forcing myself to play so I quit. I recently came back, restarted and I’m hooked it’s so dramatically different from what it was at launch. I remember the opening quests were so lifeless and dead and just thinking how weak the end game and side quests were. It’s so nice to play quests that feel like they have some weight to them just all around the game feels like the devs have poured a lot of love into it and I’m excited to see where it goes from here
A lot of the quests in 76 are genuinely amazing and engaging, so many of the areas are unique and distinct. I specifically remember one little camp site near Flatwoods that is haunted, when you're there you can hear screams, the doors will randomly shut on you and the pictures move on their own, the best part however is the holotapes you can find there, which are all talking about how there's something strange going on there. This is the kinda storytelling I play the game for
@@BakerTheMf seeing a lot of people saying it's good a little now. I'd play its just I don't want to run into glitches. Is this worthy to a new player?
@@spookynibbaminutes1654 I think the glitches in fallout games is already part of the lore; not as bad as how this game started off with from release, but the minimal glitches I’ve encountered while playing are not game breaking tbh. The game is definitely worth the play now and the community is super cool with one another.
as much as bethesda shouldnt be forgiven for their launch, I definitely apreciate the improvements. Also nice awesome video - not a one sided talk but a honest critique of the current state of the game!
Just saw the game in my catalogue and thought about checking it out once again if there has been anything new, last time i played It was 2019. This video sealed the deal to start installation 🤘🏻 Could even say that i'm feeling pretty hyped 😅
The second I got my first set of power armor, and I do mean the exact second the animation finished. A level 260 dropped 20 fusion cells*cores* on the ground emoted then logged out, this community is really accepting and open.
A little tip that some may not know about the event respawn bug, despite being dead you are still in the event. Once the event ends you will be given the rewards despite still being dead. You will have to change servers as discussed but at least you will be given the rewards. - you will have to remain in the server till the end of the event to get the rewards.
FYI if you do pick up any items on the map, for example the can chime traps, you'll only get them once per 2-3 days per character as the game remembers what you've collected so server hopping for the same item won't work. Either collect, swap character and collect again or go back with the same character after a few days. I believe collecting around 250+ items inbetween refreshes it too.
The game has come a long way. People often pontificate Fallout 76 as a bad game but It deserves it’s come back story as much as No Man’s Sky. There are NO other FPS/MMO style games with the gameplay and freedom of expression that 76 offers. They’ve fixed a lot of the bugs and continue to release free DLC, while monetizing the game responsibly. There is good reason why it’s the most played game on game pass.
as much as I appreciate the improvements I dont think bethesda should get a free pass for this. Not only does this show devs that they can get away with anything as long as they deliver on content years down the road, but compared to Hellogames Bethesda is a known triple A studio with a big portfolio and the amount of money and talent to match. Launching a game in this state is simply lazy and coupled with monetization it reeks of greed. Hellogames fucked up their launch with NMS as well but they had the decency to at least not charge a single extra penny since the game released. Sry Bethesda, no pity for you honestly
NO! Bethesda DOES NOT deserve the NMS-style redemption pass. Fuck no. Yes, FO76 has improved since launch but it STILL has no fucking endgame (2 bosses, whoopieeee), has only released about 6 hours of story content in the past 2 years COMBINED, and is aggressively monetized via a monthly sub, $40 DLC, and microtransactions. NMS has not asked for a fucking penny for all of its expansions and updates, which added FAR more content than 76. Stop being a blind fanboy and stop rewarding Bethesda for such a MASSIVE fuckup. Seriously, stop it.
@@BoJangles42 where is this 40 dollar dlc? I don't see it on the steam page. I agree with your sentiment and statement but please be honest with your arguement, if it was a mistake then thats understandable. If you mean the 30 dollar recruitment pack, that is just everything you get with the deluxe edition that you can buy seperately if you already own the game, which is still a bullshit price imo.
I just came back to the game about 6 months ago, and I have to say it's pretty awesome now. I don't have any game crashes at all. The only bug I've found so far is NPC's walking backward and that is not game breaking for me. I especially love the private custom worlds with FO1st. My friends and I are having a blast.
I really appreciate your videos about 76 and 4! I think too often people focus their critical gaze on what is negative about the games when being critical really should be about what is good as well as bad. I've put around 250 hours into 76 now but I didn't touch it until last year because I heard the initial reviews. I played my first 70 levels alone because I've never played online with other people and I was nervous. But it is SO MUCH BETTER when you join teams and quest together. You also gain a lot more atoms that way- which helps with the Atomic Shop. 😁

I downloaded this game a couple weeks before the wastelander update, not long after lockdown started. I’ve been hooked ever since. I got the platinum trophy on PS4 before the end of 2020. It truly is one of my favourite games.
I've recently just started the game and other than a few frame drops it runs pretty well. there is a slight delay with damage and looting but it's mildly annoying.
I had to take a 7 or 8 month hiatus from this game just simply because I wasn't having fun, but now jumping back into it I'm enjoying my time spent on this game especially playing it with friends. Over the past 2 weeks I've spent over 100 hours on this game causing me to rank all the way up from A fresh character to lvl 63. I'm currently running a bloodied shotgun build (The bloodied prefix increases the weapons damage the lower your hp) and since my health is always so low I can constantly have the nerd rage perk which gives me an extra 20% dmg, as well as the mutation adrenal reactions (which also give me more damage the lower my hp) constantly running pushing my double barrel up into the 500+ dmg range, which lets me 1 to 2 shot most of the normal enemies in the game, and do big chunks of health to some of the beefier enemies. Overall I believe this game has gotten much better since the last time I played and I'm definitely enjoying myself a lot more than I was before. I'd say its definitely worth a buy. After all you do get to launch nukes.
I pretty much committed to never buying or ever playing this game when Todd Howard slithered onstage to announce it. By playing this game you are basically telling Bethesda, "Please feed me more unfinished garbage packed with microtransactions. Ya I'll buy it on release, maybe one day it will even resemble a working game." Remember - This game was released in a period of time that we would have normally seen a new installment of an *actual* Fallout game. And to this day the wait for Fallout continues, and it continues off the back of Fallout 76's Atom Shop just as it does with GTA Online and their shark cards. Why make a new game when you're making more money off these whales in the Atom Shop for barely any effort? I don't doubt that I would enjoy playing it. I love the setting and the new enemies they've added, but I don't want anymore "experimental"(Todd's words) Fallout spinoffs taking up time slots for what would otherwise be a full Fallout experience. The question that remains is if Todd and his goons will learn anything from the mistakes they made in Fallout 76 and FO4.
I walked around with my buddy for about 2 hours, we both fell asleep with the controllers in our hands and never picked it up again. Love your videos though so I might check it out again 🙏
Ive popped back in the game here & there and tbh it wasnt a very big player base. FO76 had a very small but dedicated playerbase & I personally know a lot of people who genuinely enjoyed the game even through release & love it now with all the patches and expansions. To each their own I say.
@@es_three232 i don't say it is a shit game, i say that if people still buy and play games of publishers who treat them like shit and want to get the last cent out of them and put that as a focus rather then developing a game that gives you an enjoyable experience, then we need to accept that it will never change. Even if it is the best fucking game now it shows the sales people that no matter how much they fuck up they still can make money of gamers. They don't care if they destroy their reputation, they don't care if they destroy the name of the franchise all they care for is money and money only.
I'm surprises that some people think high level players giving new players stuff is because Fallout76 community is super nice. The phenomenon is often seen in online games that has significantly low number of players that newly enter or return. For online games, high level players also want someone, anyone, to populate the in-game world and interact to have fun. So unless there are sufficient number of lower level players actively catching up, high level players tend to give away help to new/returning players to boost the fun during earlier stages & to keep them playing the game longer.
Your point about the endgame is very true; now that I’ve optimized my build and have a pretty good weapons load out, there’s not much left to do...however, I did get a solid 2 years of regular gameplay before I reached this point, so I don’t really feel that I didn’t get my money’s worth...
I sometimes drop a couple plans , 10mm, shells ,38 rounds and few purified water and stimpak at the countainer at overseer camp near the wayward while doin event around forrest region, since i didn't really use those ammo, i hope that can help a low level and new player
I gave it a go during the free trial and I can't wait to buy it. I put off buying it because it was so buggy but I'm looking forward to exploring the map.
I've been playing F76 since a couple months after launch. Love it. Actually liked it more before they added human npcs. It helped me realize that I prefer my objectives to be found organically, either through stumbling across something in the environment or reading something and getting a quest. NPC quest givers feel very "gamey" to me and take away immersion, so even now I rarely interact with them.

@@unknown-dq6df respectable i was just curious cause I think making an ever improving fallout game that you can play with friends seemed to be the end goal for Bethesda.
i dunno about fallout 1st. 13 bucks for something that imo should just be a part of the base game. basically they're monetizing convenience and you're okay with it, and recommend it because you enjoy the game. it sounds very similar to something with ESO with bottomless bag.
yea srsly i bought eso plus after playing for abt 120h and the difference is immense, you can actually play the game instead of worrying abt your fucking inventory 24/7. the bag alone is ‘worth’. but that’s bc it’s something that should be apart of the base game, it’s almost needed to play the long for a while.
Watched part of this video and it seemed like a very honest review and I gave it a shot. Honestly having a fun time and have had a fairly overall good experience so far
Let me add something, I have 1000 hours on this game(I work at home🙂) I play daily, so the only bugs that I encounter are “server not responding” (that’s due to the duping that’s currently going on sadly).vault 96 & 94 are open now to explore and holotapes are there to find out what happen. Each update adds A TON of stuff. The bugs aren’t game breaking, only bug that will annoy some people (me as well) is the “stuck on crafting bench” bug, a old bug that got fixed but is back for some reason lol. I really recommend this game to anyone that’s a fallout fan, please try it out and make your own decision..
I played this after launch for about 5 months. Got up to level 86, gave up because of the duping and glitches that ruined the economy. Redownloaded the game yesterday and got about 5 hours in on my day off. WOW. I was so happy to see actual NPC's again. I have not even started doing the original overseers quest line because I ran across a settler first and am going after the raiders. I deleted my old character to start over completely and it has been worth it so far.
Community is so nice, was lvl 5 and some guy gave me a really good armor and weapon set up. I have 999 .38 ammo for a marksman Rifle. Not too strong with only 34 DM but it gets me through the wasteland. I’m now lvl 12 and have great guns I earned myself. Thanks KN-48. You are a great person and hyped me up for a game that finally works and has such great content
Some server crashes are players who dupe intentionally crashing said servers -- the crash is needed to dupe. Other times, you can tell when a server is acting weird and get out before issues arise.
I really appreciate this rereview. All the specific details were very helpful. I was one of the many that was utterly disappointed in Fallout 76 and everything surrounding it at the time, even months later I was still quite disgusted. Recently I've been having a huge craving for these types of games that still have yet to be filled by any releases. So naturally I recalled Fallout 76 and wondered where it was now. This was the first video that popped up. Can't wait to give this game another go later today. I'll probably start a new character too.

Absolutely agreed about the community. I've also been to bases of other players where they had food ready to harvest, like honey, and I left it cause it wasn't mine. It is a really good game and I love it Absolutely
Nah the game sucks, I knew what they were gonna go do with the game, release an unfinished game then slowly patch it up, which I think might be illegal but I’m not sure.
As someone who shit talked the game on release and till now, I finally gave in and gave the game a try a few weeks ago and I’ve been playing non stop. I can just tell the game as evolved in such a great way and there is still room for improvement but I like the way it’s moving. Just needs more content in a constant time frame in my opinion.
As someone who joined super late (actually about 4 months ago) I really enjoy this game. There’re glitches now and then that are annoying but aren’t anything more than a minor inconvenience. Bethesda doesn’t do the best with customer relations but they still know how to make a game. I also never experienced the game when it was “bad” so I never had a bad taste in my mouth from it.
Not good, but great. Has a ton of potential but still has at least 2 years of development to get to the status Fallout 76 should have had at the beginning
If that's how long it takes for a game to have a good status, its pretty much pointless releasing it, they hype up games too much just for 2 years to pass by and then it barley becomes good, nowadays games suck

I mean I wanna give Bethesda the benefit of the doubt for this game but it seems to have taken the same route as no mans sky. Release as a broke mess and fix later, which is a business practice I refuse to support. However I am glad that you and others are capable of still enjoying the game, I hope it remains that way.
Considering the way it’s actually played out for both Bethesda and the No Man’s Sky team, this “business model” as you seem to think it is, is highly unsustainable before you’ve alienated your players and lost too much money. They didn’t do this on purpose. Neither did the No Man’s Sky team. Developers don’t choose when to release their games, Publishers do that. If you fail to publish on time it’s a breach of contract and then the devs have to finish the game without getting paid what the contract promises or they’re just removed from the project and paid for what work they did complete, and it’s either released unfinished or a new team is contracted to finish it.
@@smocloud I'm not blaming the devs or the people that made the game, I am blaming the higher ups. But I see if I go back to the game, that might give the higher ups the view that they can use that as a model because it had later returns (in which the people that actually did the work to fix it got little pay) which can only be bad for the devs and lower workers. Although as I said if you can still enjoy the game go ahead, i cant stop you noir can anyone else.
@@arollingkino the devs ARE the people who made the game, the Publishers ARE the higher ups. Are you stupid or something? You pretty much repeated what I had already said but in an attempt to make a counter-point rather than to reiterate my point I had made. The Publishers would not look at that as a success, they’ve still invested more money into the game than it’s returned. The only way the Publishers would consider it some sort of faux success is through microtransactions, if they somehow believed that releasing an unfinished game boosted microtransaction sales, in which case, that is what you should be complaining about, and not the fact the devs give enough of a shit to keep working on the game despite having no real incentive to other than to make it better for those who want to play it or possibly because they’re contracted to by the publishers, in which case, you should be complaining about publishers making devs work on games they don’t wanna make. First we’d have to show that a broken game making more in microtransactions is even a thing that could potentially be happening.
@@arollingkino I just asked a question. Are you stupid? It’s a yes or no. Someone asked me that, my answer would be yes. People tend to conflate Bethesda Game Studios with Bethesda Softworks. Just because they have the same name in them doesn’t actually make them the same. One is a development team/studio, the other is a publishing team/studio. One of them just does what they’re told. The other is the one doing all the telling. Suppose it isn’t impossible for there to be some overlap but that would create a mess when trying to sort out who should be doing what and when as well as why and how. Most businesses tend to streamline things so I don’t imagine they wouldn’t streamline the actual work process by having the two stay distinctively separated.

Not my type of game but it’s not bad in most ways as it’s definitely fun but just not what I like tbh
Happy to see people having fun with a game, but let's be honest we need to keep holding companies accountable for delivering an objectively bad game at launch, instead of sugar coating it
agreed. I'll never pay money to play this game. Bethesda doesn't need people apologizing for their shoddy work.
Absolutely.
The fact that people are acting like this is fine just because the game is actually playable now is fucking bonkers to me.
I agree, but hold it against the developer, not the game. If you don’t want to purchase the game, that’s understandable, but there’s a lot of people who bought it and only played a few hours, or not at all, and they might find it worth it to play now.

@@0xsergy No, the game was not fine at launch. Just because you didn't experience bugs it doesn't mean no one else did. You can play it as a single player game. Other people are on the map and the people regularly invite all on the server to join them for raids and to be part of a team, other people are scavenging and doing their own quests. I am also really happy to see new players getting into it as we have had a massive player increase due to E3, upcoming Steel Reign and free week.
@Jabbathemut Thats very true! That would be the most glaring flaw of the game. But it has improved by a lot!
@Jabbathemut Very true! Exactly! Sucks because they dance around the concept of using MMO features without being an MMO.

I played at launch and got to level 25ish but it felt like I was forcing myself to play so I quit. I recently came back, restarted and I’m hooked it’s so dramatically different from what it was at launch.

I pretty much committed to never buying or ever playing this game when Todd Howard slithered onstage to announce it. By playing this game you are basically telling Bethesda, "Please feed me more unfinished garbage packed with microtransactions. Ya I'll buy it on release, maybe one day it will even resemble a working game."
Remember - This game was released in a period of time that we would have normally seen a new installment of an *actual* Fallout game.
The best part about Fallout 76 is when I found 15 hardcopies for a dollar each at a bargain bin store and sold them on FB Marketplace for $10 each

Playing the game on a Series S is an amazing experience!

It helped me realize that I prefer my objectives to be found organically, either through stumbling across something in the environment or reading something and getting a quest. NPC quest givers feel very "gamey" to me and take away immersion, so even now I rarely interact with them.
Love the game and I'm lvl 324 it's a great game.
How do I get into it like where do I start
@@alexrojas2686 You buy the game and then play it,it’s gets fun after lvl 25 and you can find power armor around the map unless it’s the Exo-1
@@magicman3163 and it get boring past level 125 imo
@@alexrojas2686 you don't, you either buy new vegas and mod it too shit or fallout 4 and mod it too shit 😀
@@thedarkriddler7318 or you play 76 like a normal person lol 76 isn't even that bad and is probably better than 4
The only problem today with fo76 is the option of no single player
for the low low price of a 100 a year it is lol I joke but honestly why did u wanna play alone? i feel like that removes the best part of the game.
@@smittyxd1994 performance basically I got nothing against the multiplayer but it kinda goes against fallouts core aspects and don’t get me wrong the players are really nice hell one gave me a set of armor when I was level ten
@@unknown-dq6df respectable i was just curious cause I think making an ever improving fallout game that you can play with friends seemed to be the end goal for Bethesda.
I understand completely I also wish if anything it’s co-op
i dunno about fallout 1st. 13 bucks for something that imo should just be a part of the base game. basically they're monetizing convenience and you're okay with it, and recommend it because you enjoy the game. it sounds very similar to something with ESO with bottomless bag.
yea srsly i bought eso plus after playing for abt 120h and the difference is immense, you can actually play the game instead of worrying abt your fucking inventory 24/7. the bag alone is ‘worth’. but that’s bc it’s something that should be apart of the base game, it’s almost needed to play the long for a while.
what settings do u use? its choppy on my pc and i have fairly good one
turn down the range shadows and everything load in. Fixed the choppy issues on my 1080
@@DinkLover69 i got 1080 as well, will try
@@drozdforce8853 Makes a huge difference. Turning down the actual graphics quality made no fps change lol.
I’m thinking of buying it
Watched part of this video and it seemed like a very honest review and I gave it a shot.
I did the same thing at launch and came back a few weeks ago. Already level 70 and loving it.
this guy has a raspy voice due to giving Todd Howard daily mouth hugs.
1500 hours. Finally got bored. I won't return until a new map is updated. I can't wait. Love the game. Just tired of West Virginia.
Get some sun
@KMS Elbe the new map Pitt. They said we will be able to explore. I'm not saying a map the size of the main game.
@@TheCreepyArchives 1500 hours after a few years isn't bad right?
I played this after launch for about 5 months. Got up to level 86, gave up because of the duping and glitches that ruined the economy. Redownloaded the game yesterday and got about 5 hours in on my day off. WOW. I was so happy to see actual NPC's again. I have not even started doing the original overseers quest line because I ran across a settler first and am going after the raiders. I deleted my old character to start over completely and it has been worth it so far.
It's in a very good place right now, friends and I are loving it
Enjoy the game now past level 100 the game gets boring
@@iliketapwaterok3661 that's your opinion😂
Community is so nice, was lvl 5 and some guy gave me a really good armor and weapon set up. I have 999 .38 ammo for a marksman Rifle. Not too strong with only 34 DM but it gets me through the wasteland. I’m now lvl 12 and have great guns I earned myself. Thanks KN-48. You are a great person and hyped me up for a game that finally works and has such great content
I love just listing to the radio as I gather wood for my mountain night club💜⚡️
How did it go?
@@martomlg1484 it's a good game dude. even a week after launch the problems were heavily exaggerated. nothing stands out to me except the fun times i had in that game. small bugs are to be expected because MP.
Been having a really good time with the game for the past 2 weeks
@@xxbullriderkillx9301 been playing for over 2 years and I can safely say this game is worth 15 bucks at most, and dont even get me into the 1st subscription, its disgusting
Last time I played was around release and I was a level 30. Do you think it's worth restarting over?
Just pick up from where u left off no reason to start a fresh character
Either continue or start over, the game is great and well worth it if you’re a true fallout fan.
when I played on day 1, i came in with the preconcept from harder survival games and the extra hard-coded limits from back then
I found that charather too complex to salvage in a timelly manner, so I just deleted it and restarted
beside that, there is not much reason. sure, you may want to have a second charather going for the few forks in the main storylines (and relative reward/achievent if you're interested), but aside from seeing the revised intro, there is no "hard" reason to restart.
especially now with the punchcard machine, pretty much every error can be grinded away without much complexity
Yes the bugs that are left are extremely minor i love 76 people should give it another chance instead of following the nay sayers
So minor that the main quest is still bugged to hell. on ps4 I was a raider and had to literally do parts of the quest 20 times over lost all my meds ammo and gear. On Xbox recently the settlers quest was bugged so I was forced to pick raider.
@@merrychristmaseverybody dont play it on potatoes then iv played the main story both factions multiple characters on PC never had a problem 🤷♂️
@@merrychristmaseverybody weird...what kind of bugs because what you are describing are serious bugs that as a level 300 I've never seen reported or talked about on any of the forums? Maybe you should put up a post on their reddit about this issue
Anyone else find that the servers constantly stop responding? I get the server not responding pop-up like 2 times every 10-15 minutes. My friend who lives in a different state has the same issue.
I've noticed that Fallout 76 has a lot of interesting unmarked locations scattered around the map
There is A LOT of interesting things all around the map that one will never find unless really exploring the game.
I've been thinking of picking this up, but simply as a single player experience. Thanks for the informative video - very helpful to see how much effort has been put in to rectify many of the faults of the original game.
@@Gingy Good to know the majority can be done solo if that's the player's preference, and the game is so cheap now that it's worth paying the price and skipping out on some of the multiplayer only content. Although reading some of the other comments it seems like the game has a pretty good community - let's hope it continues to grow with the new content being added!
@@smocloud christ why the aggression? I'm not dissing the devs man, is it so hard to understand I dont wanna play it but I'm fine with people who do?
The guy walking through the door was a glitch you can use to skip everything in the silo he probably left or disconnected after he did it people can join you on the first quest
The players now are the best, I've been given so much stuff for free like OP weapons and 1000s of ammunition
Ehh. When you claimed to die in the rad zone, therea like a 20 second buffer where rads dont happen. I saw this happen on your screen, and instead of bringing up your inventory and putting the hazmat suit on, you stood there jerking the camera around in 3rd person until you died.
It's still shit to tried to sell an obviously unfinished product and patching it into a playable state so I still can't forgive them
Its Bethesda, tf you want?God?

@@Anarchic1989 arguably thats just what games are now its sad but name 5 games in the last decade that came out perfect or close to it with no community back lash. it saves money to release the game early grab the money on release and fix it over time it keeps your publishers off your ass and earns money twice cause of release and when its fixed people will come back like I said its sad but video game companies are just that, companies.
@@smittyxd1994 Red Dead Redemption 2, God of War, Dark Souls 3, Titanfall 2, Spiderman ps4, Horizon Zero Dawn. It's a bullshit practice. We all deserve better for what we pay for. Everyone is pay more for less and it needs to stop
Super late, at least to me, 76 is fairly good it feels like a game built more around having friends cause I’m playing solo and have been stuck for the longest and I’m so impoverished that I have to die to reset rads and such. Not my type of game but it’s not bad in most ways as it’s definitely fun but just not what I like tbh
