This was extremely helpful, cheers mate! Worked on cars for years but new to the mk6 transit so this was exactly what I needed, much appreciated for the extremely clear video and including the required socket sizes.
Definitely the Laurel and Hardy of the van servicing 😂 very entertaining, especially the black oily mark on the brand new Bosch air filter😂😂😂thanks for sharing 👍
Hey Max, I need your help... iam in Zimbabwe with an MK6 transit and I am failing to unlock the bonnet and I need to service it, plus I recently changed 2 blown fuses and the mileage and clock are losing memory plus the speedo, fuel, rev counter and heat gauges aren't resting they stop close to the rest points and when I turn on the key they in position or start by rattling and then go to there rest points... what could it be?
It could be the click spring causing issues with the gauges - Fords are also known for dry solder joints in the instrument cluster itself As for the bonnet - try and lubricate it as best as you can but if won’t move you’ll have to break it off from the inside by getting your hand up around the fan shroud… not a pleasant job
Lovely engines! I've got more videos coming out soon on injector removal and reaming the injector seats on the cylinder head 👌 got plenty of other transit videos too
Love ya videos....found the transit EGR clean out...and fixing betty linked this....i just did air filter, and the fuel filter yesterday....but got a problem as she starts & imediatley cuts out...i was hoping it was dirt in old fuel filter...so gunna try cleaning EGR out...your videos great !!mines 2002- so prob just as bad!!soooo glad i watched the oil filter change as id looked to see if an allen key in bottom ( like on some) to empty filter 1st..but NNNoooooo so thats gunna be fun !!but until i can get my engine running to warm the oil...oil change will have to wait !!...thanks for videos! :)

Engine oil (Preferred lubricant specification)Ford WSS-M2C913-CSAE 5W-30 is the specification of the oil the van takes in the UK 👍

When you turn the key does a red light flash on the dash when it tries to start?

It could be the ecu on the fuel pump shutting down....
For the record, I did do a bank transfer to him.
Paid with thanks!
