The best video in the world on how to swap out that sump on the Mk7 Transit, bar none. THUMBS UP!
Great tutorial, I'll be trying this next week
Great vid gonna take my sump off to see that oil sump is not all sludge as bought transit with no service history 150 k miles
Nice work
Cheers bud
I will be doing this on a 2014 plate soon, the sump has rust and corrosion causing a leak threw a pin hole, im guessing its going to be the same as you have done, thanks for the vid.
I would like to know how to get the stiffening plate off. Something is still holding it on.
cheers
My sump is okay free from rust etc I just need to change my gasket do you reckon I’d be able to do that without taking the oil pick up pipe off?
No post back, so I take it there was no need for the sealant after all?
Hi robin I've done about 3000 miles since I did the video and the seal has been fine so I am guessing you could use a gasket or sealant good luck bud
Hi how tough is it to do this job without a ramp?
Hi bud it's not to bad a job on the floor as long as you have some axle stands
tip for anyone in future, parking up on a kerb gives you good enough access underneath :)
