A friend at work gave me that LOL!!! It gets plenty of looks. Top $/hr should be if you tried to fix it with Chinese Parts and it still doesn't work. URRRGGG!!!

@@richardflagg3084 I can't even imagine those knockoff 200ts they sell working at all... I tried some parts from farmertec... three intake boots three different rubber consistencies, fuel line had a leak at the tank plug etc... not to mention the inconsistent wall thickness you showed on a previous video.... good luck diagnosing a problem with them they just compound the problems... never again!

Hey Richerd enjoyed the video I was wondering if you have added those nostril ports to a 201 TC and if you did did it seem to help

I didn't notice a muffler or timing mod, just some porting. How does this saw feel next to a good 200T in your experience?

I did do a muffler mod. I usually leave timing stock if it's the newest version MTronic. The 201's are just as fast modded as a 200. They just don't sound nearly as good. For those that can't properly tune a carb, stick with the 201tc.

Hi Richard, Thanks for the great videos! I just did the crank seals on my 201t this weekend and really appreciated reference to these videos. I did have a question though. In the event that I wanted to remove the handle assembly as a complete unit with the coil wire intact so as to not take all the internal linkages inside the handle apart....can the coil wire be disconnected from the coil and slipped out somehow. I didnt get into that area at all but, was something i was wondering about? Thanks again!

that may be a dumb question after looking at it 😉? I definately want to do some mods to the saw this winter. So far I have 1. drill hole in muffler (about 3/8"?) and remove excess plastic on cover 2. widen exhaust port 3. grind keyway and advancetiming just a whisper (about 1/8"?) 4. drill 2 1/16" nostril ports in intake. Am I missing anything? carb work? ceramic bearings!?!? LOL

@@freedominthehood4267 be careful drilling the nostrils. there's not a lot of meat behind the intake. You'll have to stay pretty close to the divider in the strato ports.

Removing the top handle requires pilling the carb. Unhook the impulse line and the 3 mounting buffers from the main housing. The kill switch wires can be removed from the ignition coil and snaked through the upper part of the case that has the rubber grommet under the top handle assy. Tedious but not hard.

I use a socket and tap the old ones out. There are two sleeves in the bolt holes that help align the case halves. If they get pushed in just tap them back out before you begin assembly.
