What a great video, fantastic and very useful information. I am 29 months free from cannabis addiction, because of SMART Recovery, and CGL (Change grow live) I am now a SMART Facilitator myself since January 2024, the tools have helped me tremendously in day to day life, snd now volunteering for CGL as a Facilitator I have found purpose again in life, and helping others with addiction recovery is so rewarding. I came to this video because of an email from SMART mentioning Brandon working with SMART Keep up the great work Brandon what a true inspiration and humble gent you are. Thank you
Really enjoyed this eppy. Brandon is such an inspiration. Had the pleasure to spend time with him on a few occasions. I credit him as one of the people who inspired me to quit my boozing over 4 years ago now for good. Top human x
Another great podcast! The awareness you and your guests are spreading is incredible. Covering.all the right topics too! Mindset, Brain, even in previous episodes - it's the stuff that really breaks the mould! And so glad you are sharing this to sk many! I litrally look forward to this every week! ❤
Please keep doing these videos. My brother took his own life in late 2022, he was drinking and isolated with mental health issues. I am not the best at communicating, but I feel if I had shown him your channel he would have been inspired to see the light at the end of the tunnel from people who have lived it and tell it like it is. Thank you.
Absolutely loved this, I loved the fact that you covered anxiety, negative thinking, neuroscience & why people find it hard to connect with feelings. Practicing meditation, mindfulness and using hypnotherapy to change new neursl pathways is they key, but it takes practice. Changing your thinking & behaviours takes practice. I also loved Brandon saying that anxiety won't kill you, learn how to deal with the triggers. Well done guys and thank you x
1 Month and 7 days sober now Dan not looked back once. Honestly the best decision I’ve made . My family life with wife and two kids is better then ever I’ve lost 1.5st I go to the gym mornings at 5 am before work , hole new lease of life . I owe a lot of what I’m currently going through to you and this podcast thanks for inspiring me to sort my life out mate 🫶🏻
I’m right there where I need to stop lad, simple fact is it has to be you on your own that makes the decision and I’m there. I’m mentally fucked and exhausted. Fair play and keep it up
Day 1 of recovery after a relapse for me, just found your podcast Daniel and subbed. Will be watching a lot of these over the coming days, Brandon one of my favourite DJs around, read his book life and lines a few years ago when it come out.. love the man, some great stories too! Keep up the good work 🙌🏻
Had a few stumbles since new yr but bck on track n clean again. Can't thank u enough again Dan for what ur doing. Love u Brandon , i was born in '85 lol but def huge in my young yrs thank you for sharing
Brandon definitely get Dan on board somehow I'm a girl now a geezer but have followed him since Christmas and his content podcast has actually become part of my routine to stay clean
In my younger years i loved taking drugs. Raves were my spiritual home from 1991. However i feel lucky, yes lucky they brought me to my knees. Recovery has been the most rewarding, loving, and exciting times since i got clean in 2002. I am truly grateful. Thank you for the podcasts, great to hear others and get the message out that we do recover 🙏😎
Dan don't let anyone tell you you're preaching mate, you've found sobriety and you're trying to help others "see the light". You can see how excited you are about it and if that comes across as preachy to some then f**k 'em. We need more people like yourself using their platforms for good. The guests you're having on, it could be said, are out of the ordinary, and that in itself is a breath of fresh air. It would be awesome to see you interview scientists in the future who advocate for medicinal use of certain drugs too. There's a lot of research going into psychodelics and microdosing to help people with mental health issues. I think this would be a great area to explore for your viewers too. Take it easy and keep up the great work 🙏
Quality interview Dan, respect to the Block, if only all celebrities woke up and all of a sudden had the same mindset, sadly all are chasing money and selling their souls to the devil.
Bloody brilliant. Love this, dude. Learning about different experiences in the life of the lines 😌 amazing guests u have. Helping alot and thank you 😊 your doing amazing by the way 👍
I remember seeing him at hot dog may bank holiday 2000 or 2001 and he looked sober but myself was a different story lol, although I am now and it's been over a year now. My life's been nuts anyway. Hope your both well ✌️
I remember seeing on tv years ago, block jumped up on stage and Davina McCall said who’s that😂I thought shut up he makes a banging mix cd🎶🙌🏻😂edit I wrote this comment before you spoke about it😂
It’s amazing what the human body can take. I remember seeing Brandon, Alex and Jeremy Healy playing at Space terrace and Brandon was crouching on the floor behind the decks not sure if this was around the same time of his TB incident.
Fake women are with fake men(probably).I think it comes with age accepting yourself being comfortable in your own skin and just enjoying your life.if we are lucky to have family.its the most important thing in the world .another gr8 podcast.
Absolutely loved every minute of this. I grew up in the 80s and 90s thought Brandon Block was a bit of a tit. I now realise I was wrong Topman very wise. Good luck to you all
2 people with adhd talking to each other is hard to watch. Wish the fella would have just let Brandon talk instead of interrupting all the time. Interrupting people is all part of the learning journey. Something the fella interviewing should work on
I got to know him a bit out in Ibiza many years ago, he wasn't liked by a lot of people that lived out there and within the industry. He was regularly being nasty to people. He used to just get off of his face and not be able to DJ. He would pick fights with people on the dance floor. They say "don't meet your heros" for good reason. I do wish him all the best tho, maybe it was the drugs that made him like that.
Brandon gave up drugs in 1996 after caining it for 10 years. Was cocaine easy to come by and get, in the 1980s? I know in Hollywood etc it was, but say, was it around in the UK pubs then?
He was really hard to listen to, I didn't find him relatable at all and he just seems like he has read all the self help books. He made his money and has time to fuck around, a bloke with 3 kids just getting by isn't going to understand this nueral pathway mumbo jumbo. Amazing work with the podcast though and I've found it really helpful, not sure I could do another hour of this bloke though
