4.5 year no booze for me now but it works the same as coke in terms of addiction. This guy is wise, cut ties with people you get on it with for 3 months at least. 3 months is how long it takes to properly break the habit. There will be a point maybe a few weeks or a month in where you feel quite depressed because you realise you have to deal with your own thoughts and feelings instead of hiding from them but get past that and you're good, you'll never look back.
@@ibizalplate I used to live with one of my best mates. We used to get on it together often. When I quit he wouldn't accept it and was always on my case to stop being a p*ssy and get on it with him. Literally tried forcing stuff on me a few times. Eventually I moved out and now we barely speak. I realised that a lot of our relationship revolved around us getting fucked up together. It's a shame but as a whole my life is better, I'm happier. If your friend can accept your decision then fine, but if they won't you need to choose you, your health and your sanity over them.
I promise you, it isn’t as hard to quit as you think. I was in a deep dark hole with it and couldn’t find the mindset to to quit it. Hindsight’s a beautiful thing though, it was very easy actually. Just a few habit changes and triggers. Move on from the people you associate with. Never been better. 8 years
Most people want a bag after drinking. Drinking is the biggest gateway. I’ve noticed if I have one pint I’m good. Two pints I turn into bag mode. Best thing is to stop drinking. It’s weird if someone came up to me and said do a line (when I hadn’t had any drink) I wouldn’t even do it and it would be easy to say no. Drink is the biggest problem. Good luck and get help if you need
Currently watching this on a comedown, it’s good to hear the stories and advice.. funny to see that we all act the same on the bag though.. great content dan keep it up

I think this really is inspiring that Danny speaks so open about his experience and everything on the topic of coke, I think it is the norm for people to do it these days, I strongly believe it got bad when we went into lock down as we literally jad nothing to do (not even leave our houses) so the only excitement in life we got was drinking and then packet, well that’s how it was for me. I have been 12 months off it and just focus on the gym! This podcast and everything you are doing Danny is amazing! Keep it up bro! And loved this video! Two absolute geezers! Lemon squeezers 💙
Brilliant video, just what I needed at this point in my life as I’ve been struggling with the gear for 10 years now. I’m currently trying to get totally clean from doing 3.5 g a day nearly every day to doing 2 over a week now at the very most. God bless and stay blessed 🙏🏽
Really relatable. Drink is definitely the catalyst. I’m coming to the conclusion that alcohol is worse for me than I thought. It’s tough realising that and I haven’t had a drink for a week now. I’d put myself in the I can take it or leave it bracket. I just need to work on the leave it bit now. Keep it up mate
@J 808 it’s good to recognise it. I remember I used to get a little half to keep pace with older mates who could put the beer away. Was like that for a long time. But eventually it became 1 then 2 then 3. If I don’t drink, I’m good. So there you have it. I can go 6 weeks without so not chronic use but I just know how much it effects me for days after and how much of a c*** I can be to those around me. Plus I’m 43 ffs. There comes a time….

Then everyday to keep me awake because I feel as if I cannot function without it. The amount I consume daily is ridiculous and I need help before I lose my loved ones And my house. Big wake up call. I stopped doing it say 8 years, we used to go on golf days out to all the top venues and after start drinking and say 3 pints in get on it. This went on every weekend sat or sun never both for about 10 years. After a about 10 years of doing this and I was a light user only ever did it pissed, I thought we are having what I call a false laugh, it went on till 4 in the morning and the horrors have set in. So I just knocked it on the head, you just avoid having a beer for a few years till it gets to the point you ain’t going out with your old mates anymore. Now still love a beer after golf but when I’m pissed I go to bed about 11 and get up fresh as a daisy. Much better for the soul.

I used to take a line every couple of weekends then I got told I had cancer which has since been cured. When I was told that I went into a depression and. Coke helped me feel better. In a matter of weeks I was doing 3-4 G a night. I ended up the gear was killing me more than the cancer. Used to do a bit so had easy access. Majorly messed up because of it. I hate it but crave it so bad. Affecting my business’ my marriage, family everything. I hope this can help coz I’m at the point where going to jail seems the only way of getting away from it.
@@menacetosobrietypodcast Thanks bud I’ve just saw your reply, thank you for it. The gear has fucked up my life so bad. I went from barely using a small line to rattling. 6-9 G a night. That’s half gs at .4. I’ll snort a half as a line but never used it as a social drug. I was selling it so could take loads when I wanted. I was told I had cancer and used the gear to get me out of depression for a bit. I’d sit at home with my drivers doing the work just sitting through the night taking it. It sounds so sad but it seems the only thing that was helping. I hit a low one week end and phoned 111 to see if I could get some help. I told them during the conversation that I was suicidal and I was thinking of hitting someone to go to prison to get away from it. They traced my phone and they kept me talking till 4 armed police surrounded my car. I asked for help and ended up done with possession of a knife and concerned in the supply of drugs. I need to get something done or I don’t think I’ll see this year out. Sorry for hitting you with a downer just need to talk to someone who understands. Thanks for the answer it meant a lot. Stay strong brother. C from Glasgow.

I’ve been clean 6yrs , wat I want younger ones to know , is once u start it’s so very hard to feel natural happiness again , the effects it has on your brain , just think is that something you want to risk , imagine going the rest of your life struggling to feel happy, hell on earth
Just came across this, think it’s brilliant and a lot of people will benefit from this talk,, iv been through all these scenario’s, one thing I disagree with tho, there’s a difference between a habit and addiction, if your using once a week just say a Friday, that isn’t addiction that’s a habit,, an addiction is where you need it and if you don’t have it you withdraw and rattle,, there’s a big difference,, I live all the points that are made,, there should be more awareness about this,,
I wish I could afford Elliott to help me with my situation. Not even drug related. Love his style of therapy. Also Dan you’re doing amazing ! No going back.
People need to get this in their heads that the people who say oh go on just have a line ain’t ya mates. They want you to do it to make themselves feel better and feel less guit
Drinking an cocaine together is a dangerous combination even tho they seem like they go together. U can only get help if u help u r self .otherwise its pointless. 🙏 for every1 that's struggling
This is unbelievably high quality programming. Dan & Elliot bounce off each other with pure unfiltered no BS frank discussion. A lot of people misunderstand addiction and I've never seen anything so on point and giving the facts and knowledge to spread awareness. So many people's psychological stability gets blown away from the long term negative side effects of coke and mdma. People often suffer alone in their negative experiences and conclude they're the only ones with issues or think they're a weaker man for not being able to tolerate their comedowns. Us lads often only want you to see the sunny side of the party lifestyle and real honest discussion like this often isn't talked about for fear of showing weakness but this is real street level education. I was addicted 20 years ago and there were few resources or support but we're blessed in these times that people are opening up and coming together about mental health. Mdma and E's certainly had unique challenges on a weekly addiction but cocaine has potentially much more serious side effects and seems to be much more addictive. Keep up the good work Dan, you are a really decent bloke that lots of people look up to
I'm 15 days off the packet . Sniffing 6 days on the trot every week. Still early days but I feel so much better now. Life is worth living after all❤

I used to train in the same gym as Elliott in Luton, nice guy,bit of a lump back then too!!

there's defiantly levels of addiction and usage, but you are right
I’ve been clean 6yrs , wat I want younger ones to know , is once u start it’s so very hard to feel natural happiness again , the effects it has on your brain , just think is that something you want to risk , imagine going the rest of your life struggling to feel happy, hell on earth
6yrs is amazing
0:46 speak for yourself lol. I go out my way to make sure I’m not sharing with anybody 😂😂
Wow what an interview couldn't stop watching. 🙏👊
That was fantastic! Sounded like the old me! It’s great being free
Dapper this is wicked mate, really interesting I’m a woman but we all have the same vices!! 😂😂 you’re looking so well! Keep it up ❤❤
Just came across this, think it’s brilliant and a lot of people will benefit from this talk,, iv been through all these scenario’s, one thing I disagree with tho, there’s a difference between a habit and addiction, if your using once a week just say a Friday, that isn’t addiction that’s a habit,, an addiction is where you need it and if you don’t have it you withdraw and rattle,, there’s a big difference,, I live all the points that are made,, there should be more awareness about this,,
Another top notch podcast there🙌🏻 keep it up really enjoying listening and picking up on everything you mention! Lifesaver🙏

Late 80’s we didn’t know no better, know bods who’ve been at it 35 years.
mad aint it
Drinking an cocaine together is a dangerous combination even tho they seem like they go together. U can only get help if u help u r self .otherwise its pointless. 🙏 for every1 that's struggling
Never took a drug in my life but so glad to see people who have had an addiction talk openly to help others. 👏🏻
yeh man x
Honestly mate this brilliant thank you for putting this out ...its helping me alot ..keep up the good work fella
Keep up the good work Dan, you are a really decent bloke that lots of people look up to
Love this Dan I’m getting a lot of of your previous pod with Kirk and this 1 keep it up ✌🏻❤️🙏🏻
i will x
