Here's an example on just how dedicated Prince was to his craft. The NPG were about to play the very first show of this tour and bass player Levi Cesar Jr. went "Good luck everybody!" at which Prince got right in his face and went "Haven't I worked you guys hard enough already?" At which he was referring to the rehearsals which lasted eight to eleven hours on end and going on for months. At which Levi went "Yeah you sure have!" at Which Prince continued "So you KNOW there's no luck involved in pulling this show off, never forget that!"
I was able to see him in concert twice. Once in the cheap seats, then when I got older I got to see him in 2011 during his Welcome 2 America tour here in South Carolina. I paid 3,000 bucks to have a table right next to the stage about 8 feet away from him. I took my sister on her birthday and it was Incredible. There were young, old, black, white, asian, etc etc and he did not disappoint!! I have a high level job and was able to meet him once, I have a picture of he and I together and it was just incredible. He was so nice and respectful but a very guarded person. The media has never been too kind to him, but he was very thoughtful.
The Sign o the times tour was made into a film, you should check that,it was filmed in Amsterdam, the song is about being spiritually, and physically close to girl he was in love with..Yep ,the man worked hard on his art..
On most of his early albums Prince wrote all the songs, played all the instruments and did all the producing by himself. Amazingly talented man. He was completely self taught on all his instruments also.
Prince was engaged to Susannah Melvoin at the time this song was written -- her twin sister Wendy Melvoin was his guitarist in the Revolution. I'm sure that led to a crazy dynamic especially when they weren't getting along.
Prince was actually dating/engaged to Susannah Melvoin She’s the twin sister of Wendy Melvoin his Guitarist In this song is about him wanting the closeness that she shares with her twin sister And him being envious of their relationship 👍
This song was written during the Purple Rain era and was said to be about Vanity Denise Matthews and her girlfriend/stylist and make-up artist. It was re-record for sign of the times per jill, morris and Levi.
G’day Miss Dani, Prince was a very unique, cool and “smooth” performer. I liked him. But I wasn’t a massive fan though. He was a very sensual singer to his audience I thought. This version was better. He was a very hard worker mate, you are right. I’d love to visit “Paisley Park” in MN one day soon.Great comments too. Great reaction.Next time.👍🇦🇺🤪😁☮️❤️
Don't think so, he had a song in 84 called love and sex and another song with the same title in 87 when This album released, he always toyed with those words and their meaning, the lovesexy album wasn't even recorded when the set for this movie was made either

Well it is Called reaction video and that is how a reaction video goes Where somebody pauses The video in parts for constant feedback But yes she’s listening she actually describe the songs meaning Perfectly
Because technical issues, they had to redo some of the tracks in Paisley Park. The sound is real live capture, but video was remade in paisley park for this song and some others parts in the movie. THey did it for a few tracks of the movie, because the movie is an assemblage of different concerts in europe, but some video footage quality were not good technicaly talking (too dark, too much smoke or audience noise). Sometiemes, in one song, you can see original footage mixed with the redos like in that one here. Prince was a perfectionist. He wanted people to see the movie in the best quality., just as if they we're in the audience, and as if they were watching the same show (not an assemblage of various concerts extracts). But the down side of this, is that sometimes you can feel the playback. I was at the Paris show in 1987. The BEST concert i've ever ettended. I've never seen anything that quality since. THe best tour of the 20th century. And ... same for Lovesexy tour next year 1988. This guy delivered the bests tours of the rock history, 2 years in a row, and i had the chance to be there in the room. Lovesexy tour was uncredible. 2h30, continuous play, no interuptions between songs, exepct fot the entracte (how funny it was to see him leaving the stage to backstage ... hidden in a roadie box surrounded by bodyguards!! - the stage was at the center of the room).
Prince could do anything. He was the greatest.
After Michael Jackson
@@greatnessinthemaking7245 How many instruments and songs did Michael write or play? Let's look at the vault alone... 8,000 songs... carry on ;)
FACT!

Not most all of his albums he did everything.
Earlier ? He played mostly everything on everything ..
That organ is the love of the song
Prince gettin' down with his funky side...
You should do "Forever in my life" from Sign of the Times. It's the Prince song that JFK jr and his wife danced to at their wedding.
My favorite Prince song
That is a hidden gem
That's actually the song right after this one in the movie
Classic Song. You should check out the song "Adore" by him (album version). Another classic
Another great Prince song is the Beautiful Ones and I would check out the Syracuse version from 1985.
Prince was engaged to Susannah Melvoin at the time this song was written -- her twin sister Wendy Melvoin was his guitarist in the Revolution. I'm sure that led to a crazy dynamic especially when they weren't getting along.
One of my favorite Prince songs ...
One my absolute favorite Performances!!! 9.8/10
Very glad I watched your reaction. I’m you get it. Keep up the good work
When I think of Prince with most of his songs not all but it's sexual💜 This man is the only artists that makes me blush.
Just the drums alone are funky as shit
Sheila E. This was the transition phase from Revolution to NPG.
That ending sequence is absolutely unmatched.
I’d definitely recommend watching more Prince!

That song is so awesome! I love Prince's vocals and funky guitar playing in it.
Love and the Sex signs-I think are Easter Eggs for Lovesexy the next album.

Prince might have been the first Visual Kei artist.
💯
How does a man look so sensual in a fluffy coat. (cashmere) And I am 70. Been there since the beginning.
