My post-edited aerial footage around the Clifton South tram terminus area involved my DJI Mini 3 Pro drone being launched from four locations to satisfy the Civil Aviation Authorities (CAA’s) line-of-sight drone legislation. Hopefully, the final edit looks seamless.
I'm a qualified drone pilot and have been registered with the CAA since 2019. My current operator’s licence is valid until 2027. I also hold various insurances, including public indemnity insurance (up to £1,000,000) that covers me whilst I am flying my drone and undertaking other drone-related photographic activities. My dedicated drone channel can be found at / @viewfromadrone
The Beery Boater and The BB Off Piste channel is all about my quest to build and fitout a 57-foot narrowboat, as well as personal pursuits such as rambling, hill walking, hiking, droning, green issues, fairgrounds, meeting interesting people, chatting to fascinating folk, and producing mini documentaries, along with the occasional stop-off at a café or pub. It would be great to have you onboard! 😉 Follow my progress on the DIY boat fitout with a view to eventually cruising around the UK’s canal & river network.
The BB OFF PISTE explores quirky, off-the-cuff human-interest type topics such as canal walks, allotment visits, town tours, and festival drop-ins. Drone footage can be seen too. My dedicated drone channel is at / @viewfromadrone
“Meet The Boss” is where I literally do just that. I find a company, find the boss, and meet them for an informal chat about their business or company. Simple as that. 😉
“3 minutes” is a sub-series where I go somewhere, do something, or meet somebody for around 3-minutes… usually. 😉

The barriers were installed to stop traffic cutting across from the A453 onto Nottingham Road as a rat run when traffic build up on the A453 mainly during the morning rush hour

Interesting. That makes sense but I was told by somebody on site that it was to stop squatters moving on with caravans, and trailers.

Did it REALLY need to be that big. Some supermarkets don't even have car parks that big. You could get a small convenience store on there.

Defending the planners, I think in foresight, should the tram ever be extended down to the not-so-far-away East Midlands Airport, then the NET parking facilities are already in situ. It was a mid-week day when I visited. Maybe it gets fuller at the weekends as the M1 motorway is on route to the airport, as is the A453, a major trunk road linking Clifton South area with the West Midlands and furth afield, but I do get what you mean. A valid observation and thank you for commenting.
